thank you so much wooly pronto. the texture and the brushes are super helpful. when people are putting up on creative market and making money, thanks for your generosity for giving us such wonderful resources.
❤❤❤the textures paper is magical and the dragon brushes are superbe! I just made the best leaves 🍃 I used to paint 35 years ago and just taking up digital art. You are a blessing,
I just discovered your channel yesterday, and I am loving it! I’ve been using Procreate for 2 or 3 years now, but I still have so much to learn. You’re showing some really advanced stuff I didn’t know was possible with Procreate. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. Bless you, girl!
Thank you so much, Wendi!! I too feel like I have so much still to learn with Procreate 😅 it’s part of the fun of it, I suppose!! Thanks for your super kind comment - glad I could be of a bit of help for you! 🥰
very educational video and entertaining. I have a 6th gen. iPad with Apple Pencil. I am a hobby artist. I enjoy videos like this one to help me better understand digital method of creating art.
I'm in a deadliest deadline and your new texture could really help me! Wish me luck on 17th with my work. I cannot thank you enough for 2 textures I have downloaded from you. Thank You so very very much :**
Hey Dorothy! So happy it's helpful for you!! Thanks for watching and enjoy the free brushes! 🥰 If you post your designs on Instagram, do tag me; I'd love to see!!
Thank you so much for this video. I was getting so frustrated that I couldn't create the texture, I imagined for the project I'm working on. You have really helped me! Xx
Thank you so much. I have painted watercolor for years, now I am procreate lover and this is so great! I love your video creating what I really know is exactly like that in “real life” haha. I downloaded your brush, and I will continue learning. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for watching! I'm so glad you're loving procreate! "real" watercolor will always have a special place in my heart, but so does the Undo button in Procreate ;)
YAY Natalie!! So happy to hear you are loving the brushes and the textures. Truly appreciate your kind words 🥰 If you post your patterns on Instagram, do tag me; I'd love to see!!
Your videos are great! ☺️ Thank you so much because I'm learning a lot. But I'm lost in this tutorial since it looked pretty much different on Procreate 5. Could you make the same tutorial for the newest Procreate? Many thanks! ❤️
I love these textures and your brushes!! They are awesome. I do have a question in terms for making prints, etc. the dip of the canvas you provided I believe is 150. Is there a way to move the textures you created onto a new canvas with a 300 dpi?
Thank you for great helpful content! I have a question which is not related to the main content of this video but I want to know ( because I’m super big ginger of water color painting ) I would like to know how to create the group of color palette which you are using in this video.
As a newbie I had to watch a few times. Having grasped it a little I have made a couple of interesting brushes (and quite a few uninteresting ones). Thanks.
Appreciate the support! 🥰 Glad you got the free brushes, I am sure you enjoy drawing with them. Thanks for watching and leaving such a lovely comment! If you post your patterns on Instagram, do tag me; I'd love to see!!
This was very helpful! I never tried to make a brush because I thought it was very complicated. Since I could watch as you created them I have an idea now of how to go about it. You made me realize that I can do it, I just need some patience. Thank you very much!
thank you so much for this. i've done some other tutorials for this, but yours was super clear and i got a better result. your brushes are awesome too, i've not achieved anything like what you do, but i'm getting some nice abstract-y stuff.
You procreate opens very different from mine. To find the library you have to go to form > edit > import > and then library. Why is yours so different?
Hi Ana, sorry for the super delayed reply! I made this video several years ago, so the version of Procreate was much different. I have a newer video about the brush studio that might help here: www.woolypronto.com/tutorials/brush-hacks
Great tutorial. Very easy to follow along. Does it matter what colors you use on the background, like the orange and blue ? Does different color combos create a different effect or it really makes no difference?
Thanks for the comment! I've updated my brushes and they are definitely better now (and Procreate's brush engine is better now!) and the latest and greatest are all available free at my website (woolypronto.com). But you can also download this specific brush here: www.dropbox.com/s/x2dvsf8fxcyrj23/Wooly-Ultimate-Leaf-Brush.brush?dl=0
Would love a video on how to use layers/ brushes/ opacity, etc, to create a 3 dimensional tone/ texture on an object/ character/ scene, using light/ shadows ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Does procreate give more pre-made grain and shape source that one can download it from somewhere? I am looking for more different types of canvas background to create on the app, but it is difficult to see yours and follow. Would you know how to create these shape sources?
This is such a good question! I don’t know off the top of my head but I will totally do a deep dive to investigate ! The shapes I make myself for my brushes, but I’ve only ever used their available grain sources. I will try to make a video on this!
Please keep making more RUclips videos! Your content is amazing. You have the best watercolour brushes and textures for Procreate, and amazing processes that are so fun to learn!
It has been the same for me as in previous versions! To group, you just drag each layer to the left to select them, and then tap "group" in the upper right hand corner of the layers panel.
You are so so kind! You certainly don't have to, but if you would like, you can download any of the brushes on my site (www.woolypronto.com) and you can add on an amount before adding the item to your cart. Thank you for your support, I'm so glad you like the brushes!!
Thanks for taking the time to make and post this! I liked to overall look better when you changed the layer group (unless I am confused?) to multiply blend mode toward the end, I just think it looked more 'water color', maybe with just a lower opacity. That's just my two cents. This was a great help, thanks again.
I followed along and achieved great results. Yet I’m still not sure how I got it to look so good. I don’t really understand the relationships between the layers and how this method produced such perfect canvas texture. Oh well as long as it works!
I had to slow it right down and replay loads of clips, you are soo fast at doing this, but I got it in the end and it works great. Thanks for sharing 🤓
Hey just want to let you know the reason people find it hard to download the texture file is because you didn’t remove the time lapse video, I downloaded it but I realise that the time lapse was still on it.. easy mistake, I’ve done it before when sending Procreate files .. all you have to do is open the file and turn off timelapse, then click purge that will remove it
Since I don't have the best monitor it would have been helpful (your generosity) to have said the "hex code"....lol. Also, it was difficult from time to time to see over your head...just an FYI...other than that enjoyed the video; however, I am on PC 5 so it took me a little to find the settings you were going through making the brushes....I'm just a beginner, but I'm sure with much practice I'll get better...
Hi Ruth, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment! I totally understand - this was one of the first procreate videos I made and I promise I've improved (both in explaining things and in not getting my head in the frame, haha). I am planning to re-create this video with the updated Procreate version since it's so different now, hopefully within the next few weeks I will have that done!! That said, I hope you still got an end result that you're able to use - and if you want to check out a more recent walkthrough of the Brush Studio, I did make this a couple months ago: ruclips.net/video/Vfhd9-ruses/видео.html
Thanks for watching!! The ipad in the video is a 2017 iPad Pro (12.9") and 1st gen Apple Pencil. I now use a 2018 iPad Pro (12.9") and 2nd gen Apple Pencil.

Hi @woolypronto after making the texture brush when trying to create brushes It does show up easily like yours. It shows drawing pad. Can you assist?

It looks different in my procreate. It doesn't give me this easy option instead it gives me a graph 😭

Thank you! Love your tutorials! I hope you make more!
You’re making me finally understand Procreate! What brush did you use for the leaves?
Hi, I am not able to download your brushes from you site.
mitali Kushwaha hey, so sorry about that! Email me at addie@woolypronto.com and I can look into it!
Thank ou!! Just discovered your amazing channel!! Subbed immediately 🙏

Why does black appear orange when I paint layers of it?
I don’t see a generals tab

Thanks for the brushes!
Its amazing job but how you make the group layers in the new 4.2 version of procreate?!! The new one
It has been the same for me as in previous versions! To group, you just drag each layer to the left to select them, and then tap "group" in the upper right hand corner of the layers panel.
Great video, I like how you explain what your doing 😊👍 easy to follow
