It's great to see you looking beyond the "I just get mine at Costco" paradigm. If you are going to go carnivore, especially if you have the means, support people that think like Jacob Wolki. The world needs his message! Thanks for a great interview.
See, now we are talking climate and environment in a SENSIBLE way. Not technocrat agenda , not greed. I will get into this if possible. At least I'll gladly eat the produce. Everybody talks about growing plants and that is of course not a good idea. Grow healthy animals and eggs. Then you'll grow healthy humans and environment. "Not the cow ,it's the how" GREAT slogan. Inspiring this Jacob Wolki. I'll look him up and subscribe. Thanks mates.
YESS we all need to be concerned about the animal suffering on those feedlots. . Extending to regenerating the environment. Thanks for your work Doctor
I enjoyed this. This gave me ideas and hopes for the future. I've been trying to run my Grandma's farm in more regenerative ways. It's fun rotating the cows. I've been following a lot of Greg Judy's Regenerative Ranching advice. He has a good channel.
Buying local is so important. Google will tell you your local sources. Yes, you pay a bit more, but you get far superior food and your money is supporting the environment in such valuable ways.
My wife was digging through the freezer and found a couple rib steaks 🥩 bone in that were over a year old. She wondered if it was still good and I said, let’s find out. Thawed those steaks and cooked them on the barbecue and they were delicious!
I have Scottish Hilander cattle here in Ireland. They rarely need any help with birthing, spend all year outdoors on grass. Immune to most things that ail domestic cows. The beef is brilliant and the last one I put in my frezzer was 13 years old. They drop a calf every 11 to 12 months but often have 1st calf at about 3 years old. They are not such a good commercial animal because the market wants the big breeds but Angus is becoming very popular now so I am starting to cross them. Right now they are out in 200mm of snow, including 2 x 1.5 week old calves, no problem.
What a coincidence, I’m in Ireland too and had learned recently about the Highland cattle doing well here, please can I buy some of your meet? I was coming to leave comment about enjoying this and wishing I had contact for similar here in Ireland.
I enjoyed this video. I didn’t know the soil under the pyramids had been tested. My grad studies focused on using isotope analysis to determine past habitats. I’ll look that up for a fun read. Also, I bought my first cow share this week from a local regenerative farmer!
Traditional Maasai diet consists of milk, blood, and meat. Fresh and curdled milk are drunk. Fresh milk is drunk mixed with fresh cattle blood. Blood is also boiled and used in cooking or drinks. Traditionally Maasai are tall, lean, and athletic.
@ 1:11:30: If I'm not mistaken, during the last 800,000 or so years of glaciations, temperatures have never risen to what we have currently - I would think that's more than enough time for plants to adapt.
If you want to improve the soil and are not able to keep livestock on your property then always keep a wide variety of different plants growing whenever possible. Ideally you will have at least 8 different types of plants spread across an area.
Just to add a bit about another positive effect of CO2 to the growth of plants and actually even better climate. Plants have small openings - stomata in order to absorb CO2 and with higher levels of CO2 they need less of those openings. That causes them to better retain water and maintain environment with more moisture.
That is Very interesting ❤I do wish they lived longer as well. And who is not sad for the little calves ? They should be allowed to grow up and enjoy some life. More meat too. So many thing need to change ! I do wish more cv ‘s spoke up instead of not caring and parading in their bikinis all day. I’ve heard someone say Cows give us so much we owe them the best life possible...I wish it wasn’t like this
@@wolkifarm This was very intersting, I mean Dr. Chaffee´s videos are always good and you learn something with each one, but you really explained very well, it was awesome, and this is something we are trying to support ourselves here in Sweden, now that we live in the countryside and try our best to support the local animal farmers. But the "in the beginning" part just cracked me up! So thank you for making me laugh! Wish you all the luck in the world with your business and lifestyle! Greating from Sweden(Uppsala area)!
I do not think it is called that way, because it is something completely new and invented. It is just simulating the way it has always been in the nature.
My issue with grass fed meat is it’s too lean. All beef is harvested at 18 months. If pastured animals could live 5 years their fat would be wonderful. The grain fed beef simulates the fatty beef on which we evolved.
"All beef is harvested at 18 months" is not correct. Beeves are generally processed when they hit a goal weight not a certain age. Feedlot animals may well hit that by 18 months. If you form a direct relationship with a farmer you could request to buy their old retiring cows direct off them. I have many customers who do this with me.
Can carnivore cure dry eye syndrome? I am 20 and i had horrible acne and ezcema (used roacuttane 5 years ago and still have ezcema) a year ago developted severe dry eye and started carnivore 2 weeks ago. how much time to see improvement and will carnivore help?? Thank you very much
Ironically people are trying to get closer to God by going vegan even though God said animals are food for us (Gen 9:3). It’s absurd to think that you can get closer to God by calling Him a liar.
Foxy, not sure what part of the world u hail from, but here in Oz what I said is a friendly banter from a peer - certainly no virtual warrior combat going on - relax a little Cott is a very nice beach where Chaffee lives I don’t think he’s a tender snowflake

Thank you very much! And yes, I agree, it's very important to support people like Jacob, for our sake and his.
Couldn’t rate Jacob Wolki’s meat any higher. His hard work feeds our carnivore family very well.
That's awesome, glad to hear it!
Absolutely brilliant episode guys. Hats off to you Jacob; I wish i could convince my kids to use RUclips for education rather just for entertainment.
Wow.... brilliant.
We are booking in for your next Wolki farm tour NOW - so we will see you soon 👍🙏👏

I love the way he describes it, to me that is the true meaning of “animal husbandry” ❤
So good to hear people talking about the Pottenger's cats study! We need meat, and especially raw meat.
I just loved Jacob’s enthusiasm and passion for innovation round natural regenerative farming processes.
Very interesting! Look forward to seeing more regenerative farms to raise the healthiest animals for our plates.

Sadly they have started eating corn porridge now because farms are overtaking their grazing lands.
That was really interesting and inspiring. Thank you.
I want this to be my next chapter in life ❤ I mean the regenerative farming :) low carb carnivore mode already is 😊
Just wow!!!!!!!

Although with more CO2, many plants produce more sugars and less other nutrients.
Simon , you need a fan in the background so we know the internet didn't feeze .
Just finished eating a 13 year old fat cow, best beef I've eaten. (Home butchered )
I've heard old cattle have far more flavor than 2 year old cattle, which seems to be the norm for some reason.
Crazy how much better tasting older cows are, isn't it?

great interview, would it be better to eat my beef raw? Are there any concerns or preparations needed for raw beef?
Animals ARE the environment 🎉
Ha! sermon in the pasture.
Hi Anthony! What are you thoughts on eating before sleep? Does the 2 hours before sleep have any merit to it?cheers and have a great weekend!!

Shouldn’t call it regenerative farming - here in the UK, we’ve been farming this way for centuries and continue to do so.
