Once the engine is fixed, you have an awesome weekend car with a naturally aspirated V8, which drives beautifully.
Sure, bc nothing else could possibly break! Guess you dont know much about these cars!!?
you will have an awesome weeked with that car, and then it will break again LOL
@@Jdalio5 I'm running 550i/750i for several years and my friends have another four V8s, so I guess I know a thing or two. Of course you need to put some money and effort in these, but is not as tragic as Hoovie presents it.
@@12gark Depends, some investments are required, but once the engine seals and cooling is renewed, it works fine and if stuff breaks it is mostly similar to other cars. I know of six V8s, all over 250k km (two of them over 600k km) and running fine.
I'm starting to think his BMW obsession is just masochism.
No it's cheap drama for content mainly lol
Also sadism because he makes videos and makes us watch.
@@HappyHarryHardon We don't have to watch, I've skipped 3 of the last 5 BMW ones, and 2 of the last 4 SUV's.
Not that they are bad vids; but it gets to a point where you've seen one bad BMW or oversized Toorak Tractor, you've seen them all.
Hoovie makes money from this crap
@@misterx3492 Exactly. Click bait every time. Trash the Bimmer and get views.
The badge condition on an old BMW is the last thing I'd worry about.
"Cut the cats out and scrap it" - You're killing me Smalls!
Sandlot, nice reference " you're killing me smalls" my 5 year old and I say that to each other all the time and she thinks its hilarious lol
Gotta say getting rid of my BMW was such a good feeling. Now I can watch your channel and laugh again at the pain that BMW owners endure.
As the saying goes: If the check engine light on a BMW is not on, then the bulb is most likely broken.
Get rid of the 6-series and film the white Cabrio that’s on the hoist.
He's made video of the Sl before....
You’re late as fuck man. That’s already an old ass video
@@Ndkksooejn that’s not an SI.
@@dadbodforlife oh on the hoist. Yeah, that's neither white or a convertible mate. There's one white convertible and that's a 300 Sl.
@@Ndkksooejn very beginning of the video. Back left of the shop.
Start saving some old Saab's Hoovie.
hell yes
At least they are reliable.
And Saabs are worth saving. Let this BMW die.
That's just what the world doesn't know it needed, a Saab story from Hoovie!
... and out the door I go
Agreed. Quirky and amazing cars. For me, they are underrated. Reliable cars and from what I know Hoovie actually likes Saab for their quirkiness.
Someone should make an LS swap kit for older BMW's...like, 3 year old or 36K miles BMW's.
When the Car Ninja asks you "Why?" with a FML look, you might want to reconsider the purchase.
Lol I can’t subscribe more than once Tyler.
You can make more accounts lol.
@@tomrohlfs5538 lol true, I won’t be though
Like we say here in Brazil, nothing is more expensive than a cheap BMW.
Frase muito utilizada pelo grande Paulo Korn, o maior fanboy e, ao mesmo tempo, crítico da marca.
By the very same car brand new and it drove beautifully. The design of the convertible has held up beautifully. It's not a difficult engine to work on. When you consider what 70's era. BMW 2002s are going for, these cars start to make sense.
I think this car needs to be set free on a farm out in the country.
@samcracc ? 🤔🤭
Agreed. It's a BMW and will be totaled again in
Hoovies continuing series on why to never own a BMW.
I’d love to own a BMW
They're amazing cars...
When they work!
i went to look at a beautiful 2013 535i xdrive 1 owner full service history since new, car needed over 14 grand worth of work
Maybe buy a decent one, and not a beat down 1900 bucks flagship, and sou get a reliable one? It isn’t that hard
From what I’ve seen on this channel BMWs are a great car to lease. Hope he doesn’t curse someone with this car.
That "WHY" at the beginning was flawless 😅
This car is right up my alley! My E38 was in worse condition and now it's my daily and I'm almost finished with 90s Volvo. I need to find me a cheap 6-series soon
I hit "like" at, "It gives you something to grab onto."
Lol same
Same.
I did wonder if it was a veiled reference to his wife's slim build... she must be very patient
Now I’m convinced he gets a brand new rug every episode.
I wouldn’t give this car to my worst enemy, total disaster.
@Johnny Chimpo true
@Johnny Chimpo “great condition” for maybe a day, a week at most, before everything goes to hell again and will cost 1k per part. These cars are never ending nightmares
@Johnny Chimpo clearly you’ve never owned a bmw 😂
@Johnny Chimpo Having worked at a BMW dealer... you'd be better off owning a fifty year old boat.
@Johnny Chimpo clearly you’re not much smarter if you can only afford to drive a 100k mile bmw
This & the 750 have always been a dream… I always wanted one!
See how many of wizard’s boats a 645 can clear whilst being jumped into a lake??
You win!
"gives you something to grab onto..." Oh sweetie, no, don't touch the poor car like that.
Window regulators on a BMW. Reminds me of my E46 and the zip-tie reinforcement everyone did (even on a new replacement).
I have a 2005 645ci. It has gone through the works mechanically speaking. Just 3 months ago - alternator bracket leak, valve stem seals, timing chain cover leak, head gasket leak, new AC compressor, Oil change and new battery. They pulled the motor out and fixed everything. It was 6200 bucks at AGA in Escondido, Ca. I have rattle canned both the front and rear bumpers in the past and they look fine. Car has 140k miles on it. All these cars have the same problems. Aside from the leaks and normal wear they perform well. Or you can spend 8k on a nice used Honda.
Not since Nancy Kerrigan have I heard such an iconic sounding "why???"
So funny. Well done.
🤣🤣💀💀
Just give it to Euro-Asian Bob, put the poor car out of it's misery Tyler
The Merc hanging over the Ferrari gives me anxiety...
I missed out on one of these last summer it had 60k mikes and cost $13k. Such a good looking car. If you get it sorted out it will be a great starting point for the next owner to continue on with the maintenance and little issues that will pop up. But you would have given the car a start on its life extension. I’m interested if it becomes available. 👍
