i wish the new series aslan would do something like this, it says in the magicians nephew he sung narnia into existance, they should have him don a pair of sunglasses and sing it like this
I would love to see a movie version of The Magicians Nephew" with Aslan singing. The radio drama helped me see it in my mind. If you've never heard that version, it's by focus on the family. They do an excellent job of make the right music, sound and actors voices that paint the right pictures for your imagination. The one thing that movies cannot do is how you see it.
Best. Puppet. Ever. Heck, out of the three movies, animated, BBC and new I say this is the best Aslan. I just love the way he growls when he talks. He's awesome.

look for the blue peter the making of Aslan, you can find it on youtube. blue peter was and is a children's show. in 1989 they had the real aslan in the studio, and they showed how the two people in the lion puppet worked him, and the off camra person who did the eyes and mouth movement.
can someone please tell me, as i am blind and can't see the vid, is this the aslan from the 1988 live action bbc adaptation? if so, how the hec did they manage to get the lion puppet to dance? wow!
Yes, it was the same Aslan from the '88 BBC adaptation. The main body section is a costume with motion actors inside and the head movement features were controlled remotely by technicians using a device.

I agree too about the sunglasses in this video, that would be so fun if they had done that.
I prefer this version of Narnia over the Disney version we got. lol. I just adore the giant puppet of Aslan
For me the bbc version was more true to the original story…the Disney version is better in terms of special effects though lol
