    I work from home and am on many video meetings. Since we don't use the camera function, I put your videos on mute and do them when I'm in meetings. If I have to talk, I pause and then start them after I present. I still walk and do other videos but I get in a lot more exercise doing these videos. Thank you for these excellent videos.

      I started using this particular workout about 2 months ago, because of a knee injury.
      I've tried 3 or 4 different programs for chair aerobics. I still like yours the best, especially this particular workout.
      I haven't gotten tired of it nor all your wonderful prompts.
      I like the way I can modify any one part of the workout for my own needs. Thank you for sharing your skills! ❤

    Caroline!!! I love you!!! Thank you for creating such great content. I have been so depressed with this diagnosis of advanced arthritis and major meniscus tear. Didn't think I could do anything, and I'm normally very active. I am so glad I found a safe source of exercise that will help me feel so much better. It's also my birthday today and I almost skipped this, but am glad I showed up anyway. You are so great!

    I'm 65 yrs. and injuried my left knee 2 months ago. I used to walk for my exercise, & it kept my weight in check.
    I've been without walking for 2 months. My clothes are now too tight. I thought calisthenics would do the job.
    I finally looked up chair aerobics today.
    You're the 1st I've checked out, but your program is perfect for me! Just the kind of exercise I want & need!

    I bought a ball and I am really loving these workouts and your chair aerobics workouts. I’ve been working out with you on probably 6 or 7 different videos four days a week for probably 3 months now. I love all the chair stuff. I did have an injured knee. I am a person who goes biking on bike trails and I was riding an exercise bike and doing a home gym but my knee was not liking it. I have definitely strengthened a lot of different muscles and am doing better. Am back on the bike trails but now with an e-bike. I’m slowly adding in my exercise bike too plus your videos. 😊. I’m a 58 year old healthy grandma and mom. I like your comment when you say this isn’t your grandma’s chair cardio unless your grandma is fit!

    Caroline, thank you so much for creating these chair workout videos! I tore my ACL and meniscus and had surgery just over a month ago and dealing with the injury then the recovery post surgery and the thought of not being able to get back to my regular exercise routine for a long time has got me down. So your videos have been an absolute life saver!! They've made me feel more like myself again, a great work out and its so nice to get a sweat on and keep in shape. I cant thank you enough Caroline, you're amazing!!

    I am so grateful that these workout exist here. I broke my ankle just over 8 weeks ago and as a keen walker/swimmer/runner/cyclist/dancer these have been so crucial to helping me maintain some physical fitness while my bones and tendons heal. Thank you. x

I enjoy listening to you motivate me and telling me to watch my posture. With each workout I feel myself getting stronger!!     I’m recovering from ankle surgery (first week of partial weight-bearing after 4 weeks of no weight-bearing, woo hoo!) and have discovered this video in a quest to try to regain some of the fitness I’ve lost by being a blob (ahem, by *recovering*) for the past several weeks.     I have osteoarthritis in both knees, and walking any distance is not an option for me. My cardiologist wants me to get 30 mins of exercise a day, and with my gym closed due to lockdown, water aerobics is out. I found this video and thought “piece of cake, I got this.” Well, I tried it this morning and it kicked my ass. My arms are trembling and I still feel it in my legs. I am going to try it again tomorrow, and the next day, until I can do the whole thing. Thank you for giving me a goal to work towards.

      I feel less alone reading your comment. Like you, I have bad knees, and even walking aggravates them. I've been struggling to find new cardio workouts that will actually get my heart rate up, and, like you, I realized I can't even go to a pool because of the pandemic. I did this workout with some hand weights and I feel I finally found some effective cardio for me!

    I really appreciate this and your other floor/hurt ankle workouts. I have a grade 3 sprained ankle/full ligament tear and I normally walk, hike, run a bit and practice and teach yoga. Your workouts are helping me not only work out parts of my body I don't normally work out but they are keeping me positive mentally. I am trying not to go down the rabbit hole over here!

    Caroline, you are truly a blessing! I've had repeated lower-body joint issues this year, plus a ton of other life struggles. Your videos have been invaluable. Your positivity and encouragement make all the difference. I love feeling my spirits lift when I hear your inspirational words. My PT just told me I need to ramp up the intensity of my workouts, but with a squirrelly knee cap and newly-healed hips it's complicated. Thanks for also making workouts that kick my buns!     I had foot surgery 3 weeks ago and am non weight bearing for 6 weeks. I’m not moving much at all, and eating more than I’m burning. Yours was the first video which did not involve the floor (I can’t get up once I’m down!). I couldn’t do both legs as one has to stay elevated, but I was sweaty by the end and I feel great to have done 30 minutes of some sort of movement for the first time in weeks. Thank you ❤

    I found your channel by chance, and very happy I did! We are currently travelling in Europe and I have always done yoga and aerobic workouts when we travel. I have been finding that a lot of the places we are staying are pure tile floors so I needed something that would work in this type of environment. Your workout was just what I needed, thank you!

    I found you in lockdown. I would go to gym regularly with diabetes and high blood pressure and obesity. With gyms closed I was stuck with treadmill at home or walk in hard surfaces which brought back my planter faciitis. Found your chair videos and they are helping me a lot esp as I started on a Diet plan with meal replacements. When weight loss stalled your videos gave me a boost. Thanks a lot for these videos.

    I broke my foot last week and was so sad that I wouldn't be able to get to the gym. I googled chair work out and found you !     At the beginning of this year, I had Achilles tendinitis and I was working out with you daily back then. I found your chair workouts A BLAST. Now I started to feel my Achilles again :( but I didn't wanna miss work out so I searched for your channel again and I just wanna say I felt like catching up with an old friend. I just finished and feel great, the sadness of the injury being back is gone and I m full of endorphins. THANK YOU for coming up with these kinda workouts.

    I tore a muscle in my calf 2 months ago, my dog tripped me with her lead. I was in training for powerlifting but now I'm in an air cast. I did this workout with a 10lb kettle bell and This was the best workout I have had in months. You're positive energy is really comforting during this hard time. I modified most of the leg portions but getting that other side moving is great. Thank you for giving me 30 minutes with my son where most of the time he sat and paid attention. I don't know if you have ever considered a storetime version I think it would be a great reasource for homeschooled children to do on rainy days since we obviously don't have gyms to take them too. Thank you so much.

    Thank you Caroline for this video! I have been searching for a 30-40 minute video for seniors. What I love about the video is the variety of exercises in 30 minutes. Works more muscles and keeps it interesting. And your sunny disposition is wonderful.
    I’m a tennis player and skier. As you can imagine at 66 the knees aren’t what they used to be (hoping medical field figure out how to regrow cartilage 🙂) and I have to watch my back.
    Every winter I fly from Montreal for a few week stay at Century Village Boca Raton at the family condo where at their club house they offer daily 40 minute classes including chair yoga, chair weights, chair band, chair balance, cardio dance (good for the brain, tough for us guys!!), Zumba, Pilates, .... Impossible to memorize the chair exercise routines as in 40 minutes the exercises switch every 20 seconds so that’s about 130 different exercises! So your approach is bang on the right track!! Finally I found something on RUclips that I can do regularly!
    I look forward to looking at your other RUclips videos and will take a look at your website where I expect to subscribe if there is lots for seniors. I want to work both upper and lower body. I’m 5’11” and was 184, down to to 179 and plan to get to 169 so that I can play more tennis with less arthritic pain in the knees.
    Sight unseen your other videos I just wanted to share something great that the Century Village trainers do in their chair exercise videos. The chair is used in all the chair exercise classes but probably 1/2 the time you are actually doing exercises standing up. Sometimes you start in a sitting position and then getting out of the chair and back down repeatedly is part of the exercise. In chair balance class the chair is there to hold onto, full grip, a couple of fingers or not at all while doing balancing exercises. The range of class attendees is normally late 50’s to early 90’s. Some attendees do most exercises in the chair and some standing but most will stand for those parts designed for standing. The trainers describe the standing/sitting option where appropriate as they are doing the exercises. I like the idea of getting both upper and some lower body exercise in the same class.
    If you want to know more about their approach I’m happy to provide more info to you.
    Meanwhile with this video you have provided me something that I can do regularly. Thank you for that. I will share this video with all my Canadian and American snowbirds relatives and friends (snowbirds go down to Florida for the winter and back to the northern states and Canada for the est if the year).
    My wife and I approaching retirement and so we can more easily integrate daily exercise into our schedule. I took a look at your book and it seems for the description that we are on your wavelength; daily (at least) meditation (Tara Brach is a living saint), intermittent fasting (gluten free, no dairy, no sugar,.. with exceptions of course 🙂), starting hobbies (learning Italian, learning an instrument, finally getting the family videos transferred digitally) and a plan to get involved in the community I’m some way to help those less fortunate when finally retired.

      Caroline Jordan Thanks Caroline. I took a look at your RUclips videos. Wow something for every part of the body. Fantastic. As a tennis player knees are an issue, periodically shoulder, muscles just below the neck, lower back, and sometimes Achilles. You are a one stop shop.
      I took a look at your web site. What wasn’t clear from the outside is how much to your videos on your web site cater to seniors. My knees are my limiting factor. For my age I would consider myself in better shape than most of men my age but knees force me to limit movement. I still want to work on lower body and strengthen the muscles around my knees.
      Either I will subscribe or donate thru PayPal to show my appreciation for sharing your exercise videos on RUclips. You should feel good about your life’s work.
      A question about the advisability of replacing the mini Pilates ball:
      - with light weights for those exercises where the two hands or knees are NOT pressing the ball (e.g. 1, 2
      2, or 3lb weights)
      - with a 2 lb weighted mini Pilates ball for all exercises (they are called toning balls)
      FYI: I ordered both mini Pilates ball and a 2 lb toner ball. I figure both will be useful.

    Thank you, so glad i found you on RUclips! My doc told me to lay off the running for a couple weeks, as I have a cartilage tear in my knee, possible more going on :( I am an active gal, and not running for 2 weeks is very defeating, especially during quarentine. I got my heart rate up, had a little sweat going, and I love that this engaged my abs way more than I expected. Thank you!

    Love your chair cardio workouts! I'm training to be a barrel racer. When on the saddle, abs and lats are keeping me balanced and on the saddle! Need them to be strong. These exercises help train my whole body to move with the horse while keeping abs engaged. We use arms and legs a lot to guide the horse. Keep them coming! Perhaps a longer video...say a 40-45 minute workout???? :-)

    As I am, literally, at the door of 50 - and have been a moderate exerciser since my teens - I thought this would be a nice, gentle cardio...........wrong, haha! My back is bothered because I'm 50 lbs. over, at the moment, but I did appreciate the arm work and the thigh work with just a little aggravation to the joints as compared to standing workouts! Very innovative and effective for the heart! Thanks!

    Great workout. I have a question about my position on the chair. Do I need to keep my back to the back of the chair (my chair is a folding chair, the back is not straight)? Or do I sit forward with my thighs just fall over the edge of the chair? Thank you.

    What music would you recommend playing for this video? I’ve got an ankle injury and will be relegated to chair exercises for many weeks-need music so I don’t get bored!
