Awesomeness build. That’s an eye catching rc car. Looks really cool, the white paint completes the car nicely. Excellent work on the body shell!👍me likes. I always look forward in watching your channels for content like this. Thanks for sharing.
Both shells look great! Totally agree about the decaling thing. There are cars that just wouldn't even attempt (lancia Delta) for all the reasons you have outlined so you are not alone!
I hear what your saying about age and decals , I’ve just done the Audi V8 and another Quattro , before that the zackspeed capri I found the Tamiya decal scissors really work for me and you learn to use them for different degrees of cutting I would love to see how the guys at Tamiya decal a car like the lancia but also the amount of detail that is needed for the Subaru Brat I’ve done 3 of each and I think it’s enough and gained a few more grey hairs 😊😊😂
Hanging my nose over one of these for the longest time but never pulled the plug on it and now you don't see them anywhere 😢 unless it's from people trying to double their money on it 🤔 Love the content Glenn, thanks for the upload 👌👍
Nice car there Glenn. In case you don't know, Maku Go is a reference to the old anime series 'Speed Racer'. The car in that series was called the Mach 5 (in English) or Maku Go in Japanese.

One of my favourite body shell’s that Tamiya has done and your version of it looks amazing 👍… totally agree about the tricky decal’s, it was the very reason I put off painting my M06 Eunos roadster kit! Finally finished it last week!
Great video Glenn I looks amazing iam with you I don't like decals at the best of times evermore so when they are difficult and iam getting to old for that shit 😀 take care
Damn, that is one hell of a good looking car! And to be honest I love the TA-05 chassis, I used to race one many years ago, and even straight out of the box it was very, very competitive. It's one of the few cars I've had over the years that I really regret getting rid of. Awesome stuff!!
So so with you Glenn on the decals thing! I really don't enjoy doing tricky decals anymore! l believe we are similar age! I am 50 years young but eyes are not so sharp, hands definitely not as steady and absolutely don't have the patience and lost a bit of bottle these days! Yep less decals now the better or easy ones are fine too but tricky ones are a no for me now its not worth it as its just to stressful and frustration even the satisfaction if l get them right does not make up for the stress getting them on in the first place! But in truth l am usually not 100% happy with them anyway! Iol getting old mate and work adds a tiredness to the party too that don't help concentration! Anyway a long project Glenn! 3 years haha! Looks great though mate and sure when in the cabinet will looks real sweet! One more thing l am sure Dennis will shelf that body on something as its got tamiya Legends on it and done by the legend himself! Take it easy buddy and great to see your ugly mug again!😉👍
Decals, decals, decals… need I say more? 😆 Decals are even more difficult for me, I only have one hand, from birth. But for some reason, I have the patience to do them.
Looks good, those wheels really set it off. Totally get the sticker thing, it almost spoils the end of the build. I've started doing the bodies first. I wonder if PS-49 blue anodised would work, but then cutting out the other stickers eurghh!!
Would the soapy water method have helped with large blue decals? Wouldn’t tackle anything complicated without this method personally! Anyway, great looking car and love your honesty as always!
Glen, do you use warm water and washing up liquid for the decals now? This method makes it so easy. I saw you struggling with the with the 959 decals a couple years ago and mentioned this technique to you but you rather poopooed it.
@@BigDuke6ixxThere is no wrong or right way to do decals but the water technique can be easier for sure but even then the decals can split with the movement and stick down when moving them when not in the right place! Plus around curves is always still tricky with any technique. So easy is not a word l would use! But agree it makes it easier! I am still in the SAY NO TO TRICKY DECALS CLUB!😆
@@mad-beerc3818 I really struggled with my 959 using the old method but found using the same decals on the TA-03 GT1 Porsche with the new method so easy that it felt like cheating. It's the same technique as used by car wrappers so it can be regarded as the correct method.
shell look amazing, picture on box does not convey what it is, smooth non stubbly tarmac only, or concrete, i found a set of Tamiya magenta star pattern wheels, put on a white chassis, would look great, but super rare

Absolutely unknown to me.
