I had a Lazer when I was a child, it was a copy of the grasshopper but it was it was alot a fun. I had to assemble it and and get help with soldier. It seemed like it took a lifetime to get it running but I finally got it running with the help of my father and my uncle back it the early 80's
Tamiya cars always have a special thing about them. The manta ray, dyna storm I have raced with. Also have a super hornet, tamtec desert gator, F40. Tamiya is an icon in rc cars.
Right I’ve done it I’ve watched the whole video , really enjoyed looking back on the whole collection over both videos. Also before I forget that k you very much Gavin for the plus about the Fighter RX 25th and the channel , it’s very much appreciated and nice to be recognised. Take care :)
Hi Andy! Keep up the great work. People don't realise the amount of effort & cost that it takes to get an RC channel off the ground. Stick with it, you have some fantastic content and the RC community is better for it! Gavin
Many thanks again, words of encouragement like this definitely help thinking it’s all worth while and make you want to carry on ;) keep up the good work :)
Thank you for taking the time and effort to make these longer videos. It's the first time I've seen one where you've had a haircut halfway through! That's dedication.
LOL Most videos are filmed over more than one day so that's why I have RCKicks polo shirts, It helps with the video consistance. Unfortunately shaving and haircuts do kind of mess with that effect heheh
That was a marathon, but I loved it an it got me excited for Tamiya's again! I went out to my local shop and got a Plasma Edge II the the Green/purple Iridescent as it was all they had. Been putting it together and love it. Been a long time since I did that (sometime in the 80's). Thanks for getting me excited about it again!
Wow! Awesome collection! Can't wait to see that king cab done. I also have a king cab I want to restore. Bought it and built it in 1989. My tires are shot and so is the body, I got an aftermarket body from team Blu groove. Thanks for sharing your collection.
Awesome video! Love seeing all of them and thanks for giving a bit of story behind each one. It made it fun to watch and I learned a few things along the way. You're gonna need another room just for restoration projects soon!
TOP FORCE - Evo is one of my favourite buggies, I got one after I ran the Terra-conqueror for a while... I upgraded the front diff cover to a alloy one because I found it was a weak point where the metal "U" pin goes through... my last Tamiya racer before going onto the Schumacher CAT2000ec, then onto 1/10 touring cars with the Mi2ec and upwards....
I tip my hAt to you mate.best Tamiya collection iv ever seen!I appreciate the videos quality.quite inspiring for me, lately iv become quite the rc enthusiast and builder.my collection only consist of modern day rc cars, but am really looking forward to getting my hands on a Tamiya frog re re.god bless you and yours mr.kicks! A loyal fan from the furthest Northwest point of Washington
Thanks for watching, I know it's bonkers long. I added time stamps for everyone in the description so its easy to just jump to a car you are interested in.
@@RCKickschannel I like it long, so I can sat down and watching it on my 60 inch 4k TV . I'm sure that editing took a long time, rendering and upload? but it's worth watching it.
You have some nice cars in your collection that are on my whislist. Your surprise is I think quiet normal. For my insurence I made a list of all my RC-Cars and I also was very surprised that know the total number (only of cars) is around 157 -- ok 100 of them are Tamiyas. I wish you luckto find all modelsyou mayby still miss. Greatings from Germany
Go for it Khoren, it's great fun hunting down the cars you want. One bit of advice I would give, try and collect the best cars you can and collect the cars that are special to you. Have fun :) Gavin
Damn that took me all day but I got through it! Lots of hard work, money, and fun - enjoyed every minute! Every car no matter how perfect still needs some little something 😄 the work never ends!!! I’m glad you’re on RUclips Gavin entertaining all of us and I do hope one day you’ll make enough to afford that defender 90 and an old Porsche to boot 👍
This Was a really good review. Sadly it's forced me (LOL) to add some missing stuff to mine. 100% agree about some of the 80's classics that are still available. BTW Great channel!!)
Thanks Rob. The video got way out of hand so this will be the last full collection video moving forward. I will only do update collection vids from now on lol.
I've just collected the ones I had nostalgia for...... falcon, bigwig ,thunder dragon, fire dragon,Terra scorcher, lunchbox, pumpkin......I just need a clodbuster,959, Avanti,supersabre...that's about it for me.
@@RCKickschannel Yeah I agree, I will take it to Paddlesworth soon. I love Tamiya I am 14 so my dad has a old Yrasshopper and hornet. I started not long ago though
A really great collection... and there are several cars, I am really hunting for a long time now... starting with the RSR Tamico Porsche... need to find for a reasonable price...
Excellent vid Gavin, amazing collection. Must have taken hours to film it. Observation on the original astute. It has the wrong tyres. Should have the Egress rear tyres on it.
LOL, yep it was a two day filming period and I lost sound on a good few cars so I had to go back and do them again lol. One good thing , it was easy to edit.
Fantastic, absolutely great video. Love it! Can it be that any of the WR-01 chassis variants (Wild Dagger, Twin Detonater, Dualhunter, Double Blaze) are still missing from your collection?
I'm interested in your Porsche cars! I see you're a big vintage Porsche fan (like me) and want to get one for yourself (you should!). I'm a big vintage Porsche fan and founded an air-cooled Porsche club. I have a 1974 914 LE Can Am "Creamsicle", a 1988 3.2 G50 911 Carrera coupe and a 1964 968 6-speed coupe. When I was in high school (1992) I was really into RC racing. I only had one car (Tamiya Striker!) but flogged the hell out of it and always wanted to get another, but I have been out of RC racing for so long. I was thinking of getting a street car and off road car. I like the Tamiya 1973 Porsche Carrera RSR and the Tamiya 1986 Porsche 953 (959) Paris Dakar rally car. Would you be willing to part with the 953? How is the 73 RSR to drive? I presume the 934 RSR is too expensive. Maybe I can help you find a vintage Porsche also! Any particular favorites? CheeRS! 🏁
i picked up a TT-02 Subaru BRZ thinking it was going to be a cheap kit to build, ha ha. I just discovered a hop up kit for $199.00 and my ESC and Motor will probably be + $250 yeah Cheap Build HA/
Thats one lovely Tamiya collection. 1h and 39min and not one single ad, i´ll give you a extra huge thumbs up for that.
Brillant work, not just the collection, but also brilliant (“museum grade”) presentation. Well done!
For me personally the OG Hot Shot and Holiday Buggy is iconic Tamiya

1h39m, no issues here - a solid alternative to watching the Eurovision Song Contest with the missus.
LOL 👍🏻
This took me two sittings to get through but I enjoyed every minute of it
Thanks for watching 👍🏻🙏🏻
You had me at old Porche. But, I stayed for the Clod, of course.
Very enjoyable to watch 😊 Thank you so much for taking the time to show your collection! Such an inspiration 😍All the best, Toby

Thanks for watching and commenting Paul. That all makes it feel worth it :)
love it, my favourite is the first pink one
Awesome video! I just bought my first tamiya kit, its the super astute 2018 re.rel. Super excited to build it and probably a few more this summer.
Cars with character. That’s what Tamiya is all about for me. Great video btw.

Great collection👍 and yes I watched from front to back!
Awesome! Thank you Brian!
I have an original Boomerang of the middle 80's when I was a teenager and it has 2 shock absorbers in the front.
Very cool video, thanks.
love to see the tamiya subaru brat and holiday buggy some day in your collection.
Love the videos! I need me some Tamiya cars!
Wow one of the best spent hour and a half in years, very entertaining and informative 😊❤️

Most welcome. That’s an old video, I’ve done a few others since then as the collection changes.
Very nice and wide collection! The Astute, Dyna Blaster, Egress and Dynastorm are really cool!

Enjoyed that a lot. Really made me want to start collection some Tamiya's myself.
Do it Paul. I have been totally going old school. Clod Buster, 3 Blackfoot, Fast Attack, Mud Blaster, 2 Mad Caps. So far lol
Glad to hear it! You can find some real gems from Tamiya so I hope you get a chance to pick up a few Paul. Gavin
Wow Gavin! I monster collection. I watched it all the way through! What did I win? 😂🤣
I love the channel man great work on the RCs.
Thanks
Can’t wait to see the Toleman F1!
I almost picked up some vintage decals for it the other day but the condition wasn't the best.

Wonderful Collection Gavin, have plenty of old tamiya's myself, desperate to see a re-re Hotshot 2 as well!
We so need a Hotshot 2 rere! Come on Tamiya :)
Beautiful
That was really enjoyable to watch. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice collection Gav,I hope Tamiya do a rere Falcon
Try reducing the exit flow of water from the esc out of the boat. A slower flow of water more time to absorb heat
Awesome stuff, the clods one of my favourites too 👍👍

I see a monster beetle and a Blackfoot. Except the ones we got in America were all plastic. The one you have has more aluminum and metal pieces
Upgrade parts probably
This is so cool. My only Tamoya’s is my TT-02 Rally and my XV-01
XV-01 is a cool chassis and very different from so many Tamiya road / rally cars.

Great review of your fleet 👍🏻
Fantastic Gavin. Now lay out all the cars that are project ones, specific attention to the 959 clone!!!
I still have the clone, it didn't make it into the video as it was getting so long. I have about 25 - 30 car projects that need finishing.
TT02 are the BEST! You should get more 😁

Hi there! Love this video. I've been trying to find a Nissan King Cab body as well as decals...where did you get yours from?
Team Blue Grove and the original decals I got from eBay
@@RCKickschannel thanks!
I watched the whole thing
Brilliant video Gav, really enjoyed that so thanks for taking the time to put it together! So what would you rather - real 934 or your RC collection?
I would have to go real 934 as it would make Rebecca's year. I would then have the fun of starting a new RC collection all over again.
@@RCKickschannelI wish my other half appreciated porsches! (Or RC cars for that matter...)

Gavin is any news on when the egress will be coming out?
It's expected 13th July current.
