Hello from Dallas Tx. Nathan here love the information New to the world of rc trying to find my way in this ,Wow so much but liking what I find,,I will be checking out Becs build like that bug she has great works keep it going ,, ,,,so much to see,,,,,anything on speed building and control? Thanks.
Me and my lad were going to get a vanquish but went for a similarly priced turbo Optima instead. I agree Gav. It's the best made re re ever. Such good quality. Seriously I'm staggered that the vanquish at that unbelievably expensive price doesn't even have full bearings. I love tamiya but they can learn alot from kyosho aswell.
I have to agree with you Lee, it's a hard sell when you look at what Kyosho can put out for the same. I will be getting a VQS on the show ASAP but if it was just for me I couldn't really justify it. It will be interesting to see what the prices do for the vintage Vanquish cars now. Will these now rocket in price due to just how expensive the rere kit is?
@@RCKickschannel that's a good question. Vintage ones are still fairly expensive now. I can't see how they can release the Terra scorcher at such a good price with bearings, ujs etc then the vanquish is neat twice the price
where can I get Tamiya electronics. My Hobbyshop seems not to have them. Still have to ask them. Looking to have original electrics for Tamiya Super Astute 58097 which I bought. Its from the 90ties.
I'd quite like to see some of the newer kits as well like the Storm... and a bit of how they compare. I know some are a bit pricey and we get them late, but Schumacher is pretty local!
i guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know of a method to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Rene Kohen I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Hello Gavin, nice video. Would like to know, why the Tamiya Super Astute so expensive.?? It is only a RWD car. Why its more expensive than other Tamiya RWD ??? Thanks.
Hi Lee, If I remember correctly it was just eBay. Obviously these came in from China. Quality is good but I wish one or two of the screws had been countersunk to improve the look. That said I can recommend them. I can highly recommend the carbon top deck as it lifts the kit and Kyosho should have done this as standards.
Just do a short vid every time you get a new kyosho bit, then clip them all together to make a longer resto vid, or store up all the parts you need after 13 months and then do a longer resto vid.
I have a mint all original Tamiya Fox with box and spare parts. Not a scratch on it. I would be willing to trade for a Turbo Optima that doesn't have to be mint.
Is it a faux pas to put vintage (or vintage repro) decals on a rerelease kit when doing boxart? I have a rere Kyosho Optima and some of the brand logos have been changed I assume due to licencing issues and I want them to be correct. I'm guessing there are both purists and proper custom lovers in this hobby...?
Yep some people love 100% perfect vintage and would never put a single rere part on the car, even if it came from the same company using the same vintage equipment. It’s totally down to what makes you happy. 👍🏻
I missed it my goodness you can make it up to me by doing a bashing with Kevin Talbot with your hobo buggy the one with the Badlands on it please go if I live down the street I would be there all the time just to see if he was going to show up and then have my buggy with me or if I did see him I would you start bashing width ur buggy and gets some awesome content a collaboration please Gavin even so close oh and tell Kevin I said hi and Claire and ian too wow that's cool your dad showed up again that awesome I love me but I owe a det to love each other so I just want you to know I want u to want me I love u to love me use the index finger next time lol the kyosho optima is ur favorite omg 🥶🙉🤯

Where did you get the wheels for the Tamiya Porsche 959? Do those wheels take the original Tamiya tires or something else?
Hi Gav. Where did you get hold of the need bars for the turbo optima? I can't seem to find them anywhere. Thanks mate

Hi. Could you tell me a good brushless esc/Motor for the Schumacher Cougar Laydown please?
HobbyWing brushless combo will do you 👍🏻
How about a duratrax evader, very reasonable on ebay

That’s just loads of work

Cheers Gav. I'm going to put those repro decals on my rere.
