I don't have a favorite Datsyuk moment. I modeled the way I play hockey after The Magic Man. Humble, quiet, but here to dazzle team and opponent alike with high IQ and shifty skating and stick work, responsible at both ends of the ice.

Krikunov is a contraversial figure (and he coached my home town team for years, so I know what I am talking about) but keeping Datsyuk for hockey not only by recongnizing his talent early on, but also by helping him to make a knee surgery is something that cannot be denied.

He was GREAT but not a Superstar, a Superstar is rare in any sport, especially Hockey...Superstars are defined as those that can sell out a game JUST because they are playing. He, Datsyuk, never even came to that level.
Again, he was great and fun to watch but a Superstar is reserved for the ELITE of the ELITE, McDavid, Crosby, Malkin, Ovi, Nikita, Draisaitl, MacKinnon, Makara and maybe a couple more here and there, that's it.
