Chameye PTZ Camera Joystick Controller packs a lot of features in a small footprint. It is a solid option if you are looking for a controller weather you use Chameye Cameras or others. It will work with any ONVIF or VISCA enabled PTZ which is pretty much all of them!
Includes live video monitoring and more status information than your typical controller.

I was eyeballing this under the Fomako brand at the same price point.
I currently have the similar one by Hsility unfortunately that one only does onvif while apps like OBS and Companion and many others use ip Visca. The on-board view was game changer for video production on the Hsility. Being able to program one button presets on a Streamdeck became more important. So I wound up using a different controller without the video preview but had Visca.

It could be a bad camera but the controller and the cams all need to be using the same protocol.

Is it possible to save different setups for single cams, but also for all cams for different situations? Can I also save shutter, zoom, tint etc? Can I switch off autofocus easily with a button? Cheers, Chris

Can you let me know how you turned the PTZ camera wireless. And how did you get the controller to find the wireless

Hey there. I love your videos, thank you so much! I actually pulled the trigger and bought this Chameye system, controller, with 3 cams and it's actually turned out to be a nightmare, so sorry to say. I've been able to connect 2 of the 3 cams to the controller, however, the 3rd cam's IP is not compatible with the controller's IP address so it won't see it. I've searched and searched and searched and cannot find anywhere where I can change the IP address of that 3rd camera to be compatible. I've been trying for days to get help from the company's tech support, to absolutely no avail. What's been your experience with them??? If you have any ideas of suggestions, man I'd really appreciate it. I've laterally spent days trying everything I can to get these to work. Nothin!

What's the brand of the 3rd camera, alternatively can you change the ip scheme of the other cams and controller to match that of the third camera?
My setup uses a travel router connected to a POE unmanaged switch. I set a all the gear as DHCP and then set static IPs on for each piece on the router. That way it's all ready to go everytime I set up.

Thank you so much for the videos on the Chameye gear. Just in case you haven't seen is that even 7 months later you are still one of the only (and probably the most comprehensive) video explanation concerning this gear. Butttt........................
Not unlike thekinetictvfaithinmotion4453 below I had the same problems. I have the Chameye E300 controller and the Chameye PTZ C730N PTZ camera. Take away the computer. Take away WiFi. Forget the mind blogging failed attempts to login and change IP addresses. These two pieces of gear operates on the VASCA protocol so attempting to change ONVIF like you suggested in your video appears to be futile. I am using a MacBook Pro (or was). I've tried using the RS232 serial port cable just to control the camera, and nothing. They just don't take to one another.
The only thing that works is HDMI out, the PoE port for power, and the remote for the camera.
This is not a plug and play unit. Now I am not as well educated and astute as you obviously are, but this has been more frustrating than setting up a 4 camera remote program for a television news station.
I can't give up because too much money has been invested. I don't need to stream live. I don't need to add fancy graphics. I could care less (right now) about doing Picture in Picture. I want to shoot a small event and record it. I just want to be able for these two pieces of gear to work as designed. I have no need for all the fancy tech stuff. If you have any ideas or suggestions, man I'd really appreciate it. I've laterally spent days trying everything I can to get these to work. Can you help a fellow wanna-be techy out.

I replied a similar answer in another post in this video but you'll want all of your gear set to use the same protocol, NDI, Visca, or whatever. If one piece of gear is set differently, it usually doesn't work.

If the controller is to SRT, Onvif or something other than NDI, it may not detect it. If you are using mixed gear you'll want it all to be using the same protocol. If the other gear isn't NDI you may need to change the NDI equipment to use the other protocol.

Can you do NDI over HDMI? Thanks!

NDI is an ip video protocol and runs on ethernet cables. You need to convert NDI to HDMI with an NDI decoder. Kiloview N6 does encoding and decoding. It may be a good option.
