Nice tutorial man. Great explanations throughout and appreciate you posting this video and all the info. Any pics of any accessories you've added since installing these rails?
Actually, I haven't added anything yet. We've used a cargo bag from Harbor Freight a couple of times and worked very well. Thank you so much for your comment, and welcome to the channel!
Did all pieces and parts come in one kit from the website you mentioned or did you have to buy them all individually, e.g., left side, right side, covers, etc. if so, how did you know to include and which not to?
Hey Michael, welcome to the channel! All the parts are actually included. Here's a link if you want to take a look. amzn.to/2Odsw4c Thank you for watching!
That is possible, I added the link for the installation PDF which should give you the exact measurements that you'll be looking for. Welcome to the channel btw!
@@VIPHoldings Hi - I am about to do this job on my 2008 MDX. I have the Acura Honda Installation Instructions Publication No. BII 46629 and noticed the same error. It lists the length as 1673 mm (66.8 in). These two numbers are not equal, there is an inch difference. Which number is correct?
It's been awhile since I installed my rack but I'm pretty sure I used a metric tape measure. Also, Acura is Japanese which exclusively is the metric system so I would definitely go that way. Hope this helps. If it's not too much of a bother, please send photos when you get done. Good luck and welcome to the channel!
@@VIPHoldings thanks , I noticed that the 2007 - 2009 is part number 08L02-STX-201 and 2010 - 2013 is part number 08L02-STX-210B. I wonder what the differences are? Also the instructions I found are for a 2012. Do you know where I can get the instructions for the 2008? I have a feeling the measurements to cut are different.
@@murphysf6969 Sorry, I looked and I'm only finding ones that say "2012" also. The package you received didn't come with any instructions or maybe a link to a website that would?
I'm always nervous when shopping with an online store that I don't know but they had the best price at the time. They are legit. I actually looked them up online and found their phone number (not from their website) called them and asked a few questions to try to verify some things like their address for example.
@@VIPHoldings thank you. One more question, I’ve seen reviews stating they needed to drill different holes with the Amazon rail. Would that be the case for a 2011 Acura MDX
I would not recommend ever drilling holes in your roof. As for mine, no, there are pre-installed bolts inside the trim lines. If you find out that the one I'm partnered with recommends this practice, please let me know, and I will find a better one.

what's the affect on mpg?
Virtually, no difference. Welcome to our channel!
Will this work with o e m roof rails taken from another m d x to my m d x?
You would have to see if those years are compatible but if they are, yes.
Coming off an 09 to a 2010
I searched it online, and it says that 2007 to 2013 are interchangeable.
@@VIPHoldings thanks brother

1673 mm is 65.86 inches. Must be a typo in the guide. The remaining conversions seem to be correct.

NICE JOB BUDDY
Thank you sir! Welcome to the channel!
Just curious about your experience with the seller? Is the website legit? There are some complaints the website never send the ordered parts.

Your Amazon link is a different product
Yes, unfortunately, the company I bought mine from doesn't do partnerships, so I found one similar and cheaper than mine.
@@VIPHoldings do you know if the cheaper Amazon one is of great quality as the other product
I don't think I would consider the one I purchased,"Great quality." It does its job as I believe the one from Amazon would.
