  • In this episode of 'Editorial,' Mr. Sujit Nair delves into the perception that politicians regard voters as fools. He highlights the recent political move of Congress spokesperson Prof. Gourav Vallabh joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), citing his reluctance to "abuse wealth creators." Mr. Nair questions the sincerity of Vallabh's stance, pondering whether while he was in the Congress, was his “abuse to the wealth creator” solely motivated by ambitions for a political ticket or to enhance his status within the party. Vallabh's decision to switch parties came after expressing dissatisfaction with the Congress Party's current direction, citing discomfort with certain positions it has taken.

The Electoral Bonds have been the biggest catalyst for party hoppers who shared a "mere fraction" of the colossal 8000 crore rupees pie. The fraction may be peanuts for the party but a windfall for the party hoppers providing them with substantial incentives to switch allegiances. This party must be packed off for good.

Freezing of Congress Assets and then the outcome of seat sharing has made Congress supporters join the BJP. They feel that the BJP will spend more than the Congress. @kneeth1 7 месяцев назад +3

@Sujit Nair, I deeply value your insights and perspective. While I believe you possess considerable intelligence and maturity, I respectfully disagree with your comparison of literacy rates between India and the US and its correlation to intelligence. Education, undoubtedly, provides a foundation for knowledge, yet intelligence transcends mere academic achievements. It's about how one utilizes the information at their disposal. In this context, perhaps it would have been more insightful to consider metrics such as Intelligence Quotient (IQ), technological innovations, or scientific publications to compare the two nations. These factors reveal a significant gap between India and the US, with India lagging behind by several generations.

I love watching ur videos, on the recent topics of the nation.
You mentioned mentioned the politicians of US how they address their voters, but here in our nation the people are scared to open their mouth to ask the politicians what they are going to do and what they have failed to do after being elected. The well to do of our country are happy that they can make their money, they know they will survive. It's the basic janta lok that suffer.
As nothing happens, you can't question any one.

In fact, in the beginning I used to feel very irritated whenever I use to get frequently complimented on my English language skills.🙄

Going by the same analogy, it is absolutely necessary for corporates to infuse fresh blood especially in senior ranks to bring fresh ideas, innovation and enthusiasm. This puts a notice on existing folks and gives them a clear message that nobody is indispensable! Gadkari & Sitharaman need to realize that they are no mass leaders and are not indispensable!

Character is something basic to a person. Education is expected to refine the character of a person. If people are behaving like a chamelion, then there is a lot to question about. It holds good to all politocians, who keep on changing party. This is done out of fear or ambition wha can the people expect from such politicians who are so unreliable?

How do you say that Kerala is doing well in all segments. Almost half of the state revenue is spent on salaries , there is not much manufacturing activity, lot of people are surviving on government pension, artificially created . Most of the state public sector establishments are making huge losses and are managed very badly. A very sad state of affairs. If it were an independent country like Srilanka, Kerala would have become bankrupt long back.

    1.Political System and Institutions:
The American system's of checks and balances foster bipartisan cooperation,
while India's parliamentary system can lead to more adversarial politics.
    2. Cultural and Historical Factors:
American society's tradition of debate and compromise influences politicians towards constructive collaboration, whereas India's diverse cultural landscape can lead to entrenched positions.
    3. Media and Public Expectations:
American media scrutiny and high voter expectations incentivize constructive problem-solving, whereas India's media landscape may vary in focus, sometimes prioritizing sensationalism over governance.

Kerala government should not be allowed to borrow beyond the limit. Kerala doing well in social indicators is not a contribution from government, but rather contribution from remittances of NRIs. Kerala government track record of electricity board mismanagement, unemployment, pension for political appointees etc etc do not qualify them for higher loan limits

The elections previous to 2014 were merely fought on corruptions and other important issues. After 2014, mandir-masjid, hindu-muslim have become important part of political agenda which unfortunately voters are falling to. In my opinion, BJP will certainly do well in the coming elections. I am from Hyderabad and I see many people I know loving modi ji just because they find modi ji is a protector for hindus and BJP did fairly well in MLA elections winning 8 and last time they won only 1.

Centre is collecting more money from South Indian states and giving back less. In this situation Centre has the moral responsibility to support the South Indian states if they struggles. At the same time, I don't see much action from Pinarai Vijayan's Government to control the spendings in unnecessary things. There should be a balanced action from both sides to improve the situation.
