I'm the same. I've heard you can go visit him just before he starts his annual Standing - I think they open to the public around Feb for a short period. I keep meaning to go but haven't got round to it. I'd really like to see him in the flesh - he's just a magnificent looking horse as well as a superstar on the track. It's something like £100K per cover so if you've got the dosh, take a mare with you :-)
Sea The Stars cruising speed on the racetrack was pure poetry in motion to watch. I've followed this sport for long, long time now, and I'm hard pressed to remember another horse of this caliber who made winning major G1 races by such short distances look so effortless.
His only knock though since Timeform simply loves horses who run dominant over horses who run clever. When you watch STS, it almost seems as if he is human and knows he only has to run fast enough to win, not to waste any more energy.
@@bowlchamps37 Very true this comment. I think it will affect baaeeds timeform rating at the end of the season as he is workmanlike, efficient and clever but like you say they prefer frankel type horses ( not knocking frankel of course)
I was lucky enough to be at Leopardstown that day. He moved down two classic winners on a few strides. His change of heard was phenomenal. Best horse I've ever seen. As jim McGrath said towards the end of the arc, "perfection in equine form"!
I wonder if we ever saw the full extent of his ability. He was a steady developer and every race he ran as a 3yo was better than the last. I feel he would have been even better at 4, but after the Arc, there was nothing left to prove. I don't think I have seen better this century.
Frankel was a front runner that set the pace and just never stopped but it never had a horse on its tail that could go threw the gears like sea the stars. Wonderful to watch years later.. Only if we could have seen them go for it...
This beast didn't even have a drop of sweat on him after the race nor was he breathing heavily. He could've went around again no worries at all. He must've had some cardio and lung capacity! This is how an odds on favourite wins a race against Ballydoyle! Ahh Ghaiyyath it could've been 2.7k but your jockey stuffed up by not pushing the envelope with the pace in the race.
How can anyone say they where a poor bunch what he bt multiple classic winners duel breeders cup winner multiple royal ascot winners Hong Kong winners Arlington million winner did Frankel bt many horses who won races of the class no
Rip van winkle mastercraftman fame and glory multiple g1 winners 2 classics and 2 Royal ascot winners. If you think that is poor frankels is even worse than I thought what obrian horse had a cv like that against Frankel not 1
When I say that I love this horse, I'm not joking. He's a legend of the turf, a world champion of the highest class.

Agreed mate. Peach of a horse.

Yet to see one like him
@@bowlchamps37 In the Guineas and Juddmonte, he clocked a faster time than Frankel.
One of the most brilliants perfomances of all time
This is so much better than the previous upload. Thank you.

"Undisputed champion"
Great horse who could accelerate more than once in a race. His Arc win lives long in the memory.
I still watch Sea the Stars winning the Arc every other day, it doesn't get any less spectacular ❤️
Don't think I ever heard Des more excited than that afternoon.

Flawless. To win the 2000 Guineas, Derby, Arc treble. Will never be done again. Even Nijinsky failed.
Best of all time
jon clarke top 5 off all time deffo top 3 off all time he beat some top o brien horses👍👍but 1st is frankel sea the stars then kingman

What a wonderful horse!
Mighty Mick was one serious jock...
Legend
Great commentary
The GOAT
Brilliant commentary on one of the all time greats
Sea The Stars, they have come to see a star and they did.
Great commentator dessie
Ever listen to tUS racing commentary? it is so bad they could learn from the irish and uk commentatos
Majestic Sea the Stars
Great horse + jockey a legend
Was there That day - crowd excitement as See The Stars turned on his speed was incredible. Won over 200 euro on him that day, wasn’t the only one.
Good one, thanks as always.
The O Brien Empire set out to coller that Superstar but they failed big time .Sea the Stars a horse of a lifetime .
Kinane comes swinging around the bend like Patrick mullins in a bumper 💪
😅😅😅
THE CHAMP
It is fitting that Mick Kinane rode him and John Ox trained him, two champions in their own right.
What a horse never came off the bridle .
What a great commentator
Hilarious watching Aiden O'brien 6 times, throw everything in his arsenal to try and beat him and failing everytime
Especially the 4 horse race where he had 3 of them 😅😅

Brilliant racehorse. Perhaps only Enable, Frankel & Treve rival him as the best horse this century
Enable and frankel..bent Trev would be close but no BANANA.
What a horse!
If Ballydoyle ran a kitchen sink in this race they mightve won it.🤭
海都之星
great horse it's not his fault the opposition was poor that year he could only beat the best available at that time.
Opposition poor? All of Sea The Stars opponents that were priced 33/1 or less ran the mile 1,2sec quicker than Frankel opponents.
Theres always one mong
How can anyone say they where a poor bunch what he bt multiple classic winners duel breeders cup winner multiple royal ascot winners Hong Kong winners Arlington million winner did Frankel bt many horses who won races of the class no
The opposition wasn't poor stop making stupid comments
O Brien didn't really have a good horse to compete with him that year but STS can only beat what is around and he did it well
