The camera shots during the final restart/sprint to the finish between Emerson Fittipaldi and Rick Mears while dealing with lap traffic is so damn intense and exciting! What a battle! Underrated battle and I love it! Also it’s a miracle that Al Unser Jr still got the championship after his crash.
I liked Derek Daly on color and in general.....he knew his shit, obviously. The man had alot of races in indy and f1 and some horrific crashes. Was and still a fan.
I love Arie but he made a total fool out of himself here. First, he causes an absolutely idiotic wreck that could've cost a guy a series title by turning RIGHT INTO Danny Sullivan who he's PASSING (99% of these short oval passing touches are mistakes by the car being passed as they obviously have far less rear vision than forward) then he compounds it by strait-out, obviously lying about it trying to blame Danny. So out of character for him and my o nly guesses as to why are he was still slightly concussed and not thinking clearly, was so embarrassed by his inexplicably, unbelievably bad error, or some combo of both. Sully handled it like the class act he was and remains today. And of course, Jr. won the title that day anyway.

I hope someone buys the track and opens it again. what a track was.
It's a shame that this track isn't open anymore and is sadly left to fall apart.
Luyendyk is living in an alternative Universe if he thinks that wreck was Sullivan's fault. What did he want him to do,drive into the grass?

I don't think Al Junior was raising his hand in anger, I think that was a concussion response.
Nah, race car drivers take their hands off the wheel so they don't brake their hand.
That rick mears move in that last pit stop was very shady thing
4:18 Lil Al pre coke/booze bloat.
