I am so glad that I found you guys! This old grey haired man would love to spend some time on the water with you all. Keep it up, I will be watching!!!... Dave
The pocket rocket is a lure retriever made of lead, with wires coiled on each end. You wrap the line thru the coils on both ends and slide it down the line. It hits the lure, you reel it in and take it off and put it in your pocket. Saves a ton of lures and been a basic tool in East TN since the 70’s. Thanks for watching and the question!
Nathan, that's a heck of a day. I know this was last year but are they filling the lake up now? I thought I heard they had made the repairs and would be back to normal soon. Should have lots of cover for some really good spawns. I've been fishing there one time and that was for stripers back before Cherokee had many.
Yes they are slowly bringing it back up. Not 100% sure when it is scheduled to be normal pool. It will fish like a totally different lake with all the new cover.
Almost every East TN tackle shop carries them. If you’re outside the area, I’m sure they would ship to you. Try Watson’s Marine in Piney Flats, TN or Just Fishing in Abingdon, VA.
Hope to see more on Boone in the near future!
This was a fun day... Boone is temperamental and we don’t video much out there. Just hit it right.

Don’t recall ever doing that! First time for everything, I guess. Blind luck counts.
Kevin… What is a pocket rocket and how does it work?

Do you paint the heads or does it make a difference?
I don’t paint the heads... Painted heads might help, just haven’t seen the need. Great question and thanks for watching!
where can you get one of those lure loosers
Almost every East TN tackle shop carries them. If you’re outside the area, I’m sure they would ship to you. Try Watson’s Marine in Piney Flats, TN or Just Fishing in Abingdon, VA.
