#100percentwatchsquad Really great video, Hank! Lots of solid info here. I think that the problem some anglers might have is being a bit heavy-handed when it comes to tight lining and try to force it. I've found that it often takes a bit of a softer touch. That's what works best for me at least. If I get in a hurry or try to be too rough with it, I don't get nearly as many bites.
Just found your channel today and started binge watching. Love the videos. Moved to Gulf coast Florida a couple years ago, your accent reminds me of home lol
For me the jerkbait is my juice for the winter months and after I get a school fired up and feeding I thien throw different baits of the same shade and color to catch more fish like jigs, soft swimbaits, lipless/blade baits and many more.
This is my favorite way to fish in the winter or at least it was until FFS...lol... Great video and great products, look forward to see what is next..#100watchsquad.
Hey Hank, really good stuff. When it starts getting colder I find myself struggling to find what works & it gets pretty frustrating at times. Appreciate these tips more than you know. Keep’um comin! #100percentwatchsquad👊
Just slow down and remember you won’t have the numbers you get during the warm weather months it’s about finding a single spot and most the time they all will be right there
This looks awesome I'll try this early spring or summer. On hot days I feel will work. I have the 360GT with a paddle tail that this finess technique will work. I'm a finess fisherman and catch nice fish this way finess fishing.
I have and in shallower water it’s great. I don’t know that it really gets more bites than just a jig head. NOW all that being said I fish some very deep lakes and they don’t make heavy enough weights to get down 60ft. Which is where the bass are right now and in the summer for me
Great video, I'm going to use that next time out on Norris. I was thinking, I wonder how a paddle tail would work? I also want to use a gulp minnow on a ned rig now.
I’ve been tight lining a darter head like this for years. Horizontal line tie, bait sits horizontal. Work good in a pinch. I like the dirty jigs head now.
What water temp does it become #1 in? Seems like its a bait to use in jerkbait water when they arent hitting a jerkbait because its too calm. That sound right?
Yeah you can use it EVEN when they they are eating a jerkbait. It will get you more bites because it subtle. However yeah it's a great bait when it just gets so cold they don't want to chase at all.
What is the depth cutoff for you when you switch from 1/8 to 1/4 oz? Tried the damiki for the first time today in mostly 7-10ft of water, and felt like 1/4 fell way too fast.
Yeah for sure way too fast. This depends on a lot but this is a general rule of thumb based on how fast the bass are moving, wind, and/or current. 1/8 0-15 1/4 15-30 3/8 25-35 (there will be some overlap 1/2 30-45 3/4 40-55 and 1oz 50+
How long you let a lure sit before you pop rod tip or do you pop rod tip as it falls? Could you get a little more in depth with this tightlining technique?
It all aplies to the bank. The only real difference for fishing it from the bank is what I was saying about the rod and leader. It's always closer to the bottom bassed on the steaper the bank and the angle of the cast. It's not like it that much difference from bank to boat.
I'm gonna guess you would be the type person that went to a resturant got a free meal and not tip the server. It's free information don't belly ache about free information... Gezzz
I do the drop shot set up with that gulp 3" minnow. I will try this technique next. Thanks man!
It’s fun
That Profile in winter is hard to beat!

Heck yeah they will catch’em
Have you tried the "hover rig" style of rigging this? Either the actual hover rig hook weighted hook or the 90deg bend hook with a nail weight?
I have and in shallower water it’s great. I don’t know that it really gets more bites than just a jig head. NOW all that being said I fish some very deep lakes and they don’t make heavy enough weights to get down 60ft. Which is where the bass are right now and in the summer for me
Another awesome video with great Detailed info. Thank you Hank and your the one that rocks brother. 🎣🔥
#100percentwatchsquad
Nope I demand that YOU be the one that rocks!
Great video, I'm going to use that next time out on Norris. I was thinking, I wonder how a paddle tail would work? I also want to use a gulp minnow on a ned rig now.
It works but trust me try this it kills on Norris

Heck yeah! Good info thanks for the share
What rod and reel are you using@@BassGeek
Used to have one of those minnows. Got it from a trout I caught back in September. It was a gulp alive minnow and it shrank.
They will you have to keep them moist
I ordered the small kit after watching the short. I am needing to get back on the water soon. #100percentwatchsquad

@@BassGeekLooks like I’ll have to give 1/8 a try. Thanks!
We have.alewife in out local lake bass follow them 60 to 90 feet deep
Yup it’s crazy ain’t it
How long you let a lure sit before you pop rod tip or do you pop rod tip as it falls? Could you get a little more in depth with this tightlining technique?
As soon as it hits the bottom pop, reel, shake
What is that knot called
The pitzen or something like that
Thank you love your channel.
Best east Tennessee rivers/ lakes?
Rivers: Holston is killer and French Broad is pretty good. Lakes Chickamauga, Douglas, Cherokee, Wagtauga
@@BassGeek thanks! I'm usually making it out that way a couple times a year
Holston river is crazy good. Watauga is awesome lake. South Holston lake, Cherokee lake and Douglas.
Kool 💪💯
Thanks
Another great one is a hover rig fluke! It’s a killer even with out ffs
Yeah it is but I wish they would make them heavier. The lakes I fish right now I’m catching them 60ft down that just don’t work for me
I should’ve watched this video yesterday had a slow day at squaw creek
It’s money
Great tips ! Would this work as a co angler fishing behind a live scooper in deep water?🤔
#100percentwatchsquad
Yes just cast out to a bank if ya can reach or in open water and let it pendulum back who’ll shacking it
Where was the bank fishing portion?!
It all aplies to the bank. The only real difference for fishing it from the bank is what I was saying about the rod and leader. It's always closer to the bottom bassed on the steaper the bank and the angle of the cast. It's not like it that much difference from bank to boat.
#100watchsquad Were can I get some cheep bibs and jacket
Shew I don't know if they exist. I love my Striker stuff and they are the best big man deal out there.
are you going for the 'dying baitfish' appearance here?
Yup
Now You Are Cooking With Gas.... You Rock Bubba
Sir You Rock
It kills em on Norris. Always has way before FFS.
Yes it does.
