When I was 21 I started to formally study Tibetan Buddhism under a Tibetan teacher. It was so difficult! All the prayers and meditation and prostrations (I was also doing 108 every day, and 100,000 was the amount that was expected to get through “preliminary” practices and get to the next stage of meditation practice).
Well I made it for about a year, got 10,000 prostrations done, but ultimately realized I either wasn’t ready or it just wasn’t for me.
I went on to study psychotherapy and many other forms of Buddhism and meditation and realized that Tibetan Buddhism is just not practical for most people.
Tibetan Buddhism is very close to my heart, I grew up around it (my parents are Buddhist) and was even blessed by a Tibetan lama when I was born. But of all the types of Buddhism it’s on of the most demanding forms of practice.
I’ve actually been teaching meditation for the last 8 years now, but I teach a much more approachable and pragmatic style. But Tibetan Buddhism and Tibetan teachers are still the ones who really inspire me with their rich philosophy and beautiful tradition.

Beautifully written. I'v never heard of this form of meditation. For me it's such a long time ago I did it constantly. Now I'm considering to give it a try again. To be clear, the 'regular' one...

    • @BeingIntegrated
      @BeingIntegrated 2 года назад +15

@@dimitryivanov9778 there’s never a “better” meditation but one that helps you concentrate better or that is more suited to your goals… for me focusing on body sensations is better, but can’t say what’s better for anyone else (but focusing on body sensations will help with embodiment, while mantra meditation is more for honing focus

It is true that the recitation require a strong commitment from us. I have been through it also. As for me i need to modify a little bit to accommodate my busy schedule.
I recite the mantra between my work. Seven time normally. Then continue to work. Accompany by breathing with awareness. When we bring the practice throughout the day, it will be more than an hour in a room.

I love that the Dalai Lama emphasized the importance of meditation for our everday reality, mental health, and survival rather than for "nirvana" or the next life. So many people equate meditation with high spirituality without recognizing that it's actually a practical application. Yes, meditation can have spiritual implications, too. But it starts with the practical/mundane.

@Tobias John Completely going against logic, but you are an entirely spiritual person, so logical thinking can not be expected from you One could also call you hopelessly delusional, but are we not all. Slowing down/Slow living has been my main focus in the last couple of years. I've tried to show it in my own videos and in my work. I've always felt like I was in a rush to get to the next thing that I often took the things that were around me for granted. It's made such a huge change in my life to just stop, slow down, and breath. Appreciate everything that's around you right now. Don't be in a rush to get through life because it will be over before you know it. The only moment we truly have is now. ❤️

Without the meaning and the faith mantra does not produce the expected effect !
You have to connect « the 6 syllables mantra » to your suffering experience, to the suffering experience you perceive and feel on others ❕
You have to work the mantra in order it comes to channel all the supreme karma charged by thousands years of ten of thousand great monks and nuns and spiritual practictioners under ordinary form of living…
      Om
      Mani
      Pad me

If you are working in addition to school, you will need to ask for time off and have money saved to do it. It's certainly not easy to do and Vipassana is not easy either. The 'walking meditation' you mentioned at the end of the video triggered me. This is something which I genuinely enjoy, but never realized you could consider this a form of meditation. Wandering around with no goal and just looking around. Especially in the morning. It's sounds crazy, but I thought ''I am too young to enjoy morning walks". While others loved to sleep in, I would go for a walk in the morning. Hangover or not (life happens). But I've learned the older I get the more I appreciate the mornings instead of the evenings and that's perfectly fine. And the video, well what to say. Perfect as always!

He's actually not wrong. He is referring to the Mongolic language group as a whole, as apposed to the language Mongolian. Mongolian is part of the Mongolic group.

See?? Now this is passive agressive. ^ 😁

It’s crazy how in many distinct ways we are all searching for that sense of peace and fulfillment in life. This is a great topic because I believe that once you learn to tap into/embrace your childlike spirit; then you truly start to see and live life the way it was meant to be enjoyed, rather than endured. I talked about this, along with living in the moment, in my most recent RUclips video on my channel, if any of you are interested in watching. I hope it resonates and I pray that all of you find true peace and fulfillment on your journey through this life. Great video once again bro. Welcome back! Shalom🙏🏾

Love it, and impressive how you manage to execute all the shots as you rely on a second person for quite a few. Beautiful and insightful! Mornings are golden 🌆☀️ Great inspiration for us creators just getting started! Greetings from a Swede in Beijing 😊

Literally I appreciate your efforts both in taking physical action and making of video.
It's very easy to talk abt any positive mantras but its most challenging and tough situation to enforce it, once we learn it or adopt it then we are unstoppable. Once again thank you for this great content...

Something I try to do with mindfulness is experiencing "X" for the first time with every day activities: making a cup of coffee, showering, walking around. "Anything can be a meditation" is absolutely true and it's honestly fun getting into the swing of things

I relate so much! After my inflammation I realised I want to live a more present and slow life so I started my own journey with reading up on mediation, mindfulness, how to handle stress and pain. I found a few techniques that works for me like painting with the purpose of not value it and to focus on my breathing and just let the brush do whatever it wants. It is hard! But it is a proses where you learn everyday to be more presence and you notice more often when you aren’t so you can remind yourself to come back to the presence which I call the endless training.

I’m super excited for this religious series that is coming up!
I’m not pretty restricted to one religion and would like to also experiment with different rituals and I think this series is going to help me a lot! Can’t wait!!
