Zarkow it actually isn’t entirely placebo. While acupuncture isn’t a cure-all by any means, it’s good for tight muscles. This is from someone who was super skeptical
@@bloomp9676 If we allow for that limited effect, acupuncture is sold in China as a way to cure anything from hair-loss, to infertility and cancer. There is a reason, as someone living over here in 15 years now, that I have a strong aversion towards it.

Honestly, this is like my all time favorite SNL skit ever. I’ve watched it over and over again.
I used to be a scareactor at some haunted houses and can I just say the FX department did a great job! the entire mechanism was flawless and the color of blood was spot on. well done!

That was probably just a symtom of the prop back they used. The back was probably made of some very soft rubber which was filled with fake blood and then punctured. When they sealed the leaks the fake blood had no where to go so it inflated the prop.

The SNL writers are known for making last minute changes to see if they can make the cast members break character. I feel like at about that 2:08 point, the prop people got a little crazier with the blood than they had rehearsed, judging by the facial expressions. on Kristin and Aidy. I could be wrong, but that's my guess.
