@@azariah.oblivion If you mean Marilyn, she actually talked in the breathy way because she would stutter as a child and teenager. The breathy voice helped her hide that. It became a trademark but she didn't always speak that way in movies and her real voice though still soft was much more interesting .

This is so telling in the way that all the other dudes get turned off whenever she does something not sexy or mentions bodily functions, but Ben Stiller's character doesn't see her any different. While he does seem obsessed with her looks he's actually infatuated with the whole person, even her gross moments XD kinda sweet in a way.
Or he just has a lot of fetishes like poo play, eating fetish, etc. etc. etc. Every disgusting thing Shana did has a fetish behind it if you search for it. So I think Stiller's character was more so a freak rather than a gentleman, given by how he kept objectifying her throughout the scene.
