Where I am in the states we had 50-60 degree flyable days in December and January, and hadn't cooperated since. Haven't been up for 2 months and the itch is real. Your content helps kinda scratch that itch because you fly so calm and chill, exactly how I do. Thanks Mark, always enjoy these 😊
Good content for viewing on a Friday evening. I was up yesterday afternoon in similar conditions and decided it wasn’t much fun so I cut it short. As always, thanks for sharing.
another fantastic episode mark. thanks for taking us along since we cant fly here for months. rain, hail, storms and all sorts of crazy going on, all that even we have like 30-33C° heat here.
Thanks Panda, it has been the most unflyable weather here too that I've seen for years. Fingers crossed you get up again soon, we need more electric ppg videos! 👍🔥
@@markallisonparamotor working on it. but its sloooow because the weather... huge company nearby just offered cooperation and they rented 1500m2 for my EPPG stuff. wish me luck this will go smooth and i get the chance to bring it to market. demo units will go to britain eventually and a big dream is that you at least try it out one time. not wanna sell anything and there is no pressure to make a video about it since i know its not up your alley due to the insane long flights you do but my god - i do love the style you make videos and fly. seeing the footage here today i can imagine the rollercoaster you had going on. i would have a PROPER barf session halfway into this flight 🤢🤮🤣
@@cloudpandarism2627 thanks man, any longer and I might have needed a sick bag! Best wishes on your electric paramotor endeavours, can you make one that lasts 4 hours please? Thanks. 🤣
@@markallisonparamotor cheers mate! my god i just checked anthony vellas crash video. the absolute horror mark. dont use speedbar! like ever. then i will promise to build that 4 hour EPPG for you
@@cloudpandarism2627 yes that was difficult to watch, I never trim out below 200 feet never mind speed bar. Below 200 feet I need to be configured for landing and able to turn into wind and land safely.
Very nice, Mark! You practically flew right by my doorstep! 😁😁 I'd definitely have done a reverse launch with those conditions! Don't know how easy it would be with the camera gear you carry, though. This could definitely be your thing! Take aerial photos of venues upon request =) Great flying!
That wind looked strong, your friend didn't even have to run before he was airborne! It looked very bumpy. You are lucky to have Little Gransden airfield, I emailed my local airfield about the possibility of using it for paramotoring and didn't even receive a reply! So far I am getting zero encouragement in trying to paramotor. I'm not giving up though even if my wife says I will never get in the air and to just sell my paramotor gear! There has to be some training course either in the UK or in Europe which I can attend this year.
Yes my hadron 3 hurtles up so quick, be ready to put the brakes on especially if there's above 5mph breeze. I enjoyed watching your video whilst on holiday in Majorca
Lovely quality shooting and great video. Just wondering about the conditions? I've been flying 20+ years now and have lost 5 flying friends now in accidents. A bit of caution is a good thing sometimes. 😉 . Weather has grounded me for months too! 😢 Ps. Good to see you f.ck up your launches sometimes too mate!😊
Wow losing 5 friends in accidents is rough, do you mind saying what happened with those? Always good to learn. The conditions were well within safety levels, it just got a bit bumpy towards the end.
@@markallisonparamotor My bump tolerance is very low motoring, though it's better free flying. Accidents? I think most people flying for 20+ years will have known pilots that are now gone. Most of mine were paragliders. 1 mid-air in a comp abroad, one drowning after misjudging a gap paragliding on the coast. 2 others paragliding were low level collapses and spiral in, rotor or flying thermic conditions. PPG, one mid-air collision and one flew into power lines. I've had a couple of hairy moments paragliding, mostly abroad, where I think luck was on my side and I got away with it. Wrong place, wrong time. Risk assess. Risk assess. Risk assess! Old pilots and bold pilots and all that. I say to myself there's always another day, though this year has been bloody awful.
I still cannot quite get the idea of "catching the shooting wing with brakes". First: why "shoot" the wing - you can always pull more or less gradually. And second: if it "shoots" you'd better run than break. Glad you killed the engine quickly and didn't damage anything.
The hadron 3 has a characteristic of doing that sometimes, with wind it can catch you out and pop up way faster than usually. As with all wings, but the brake pressure needed the check it is heavy and low until the wings loaded.
@@markallisonparamotor I usually back off a few steps when I feel the wing is about to pop up too strong. Yes, the reverse would be a great idea, though when reverse is really required I usually opt for "no fly today" ))). Best of flying! Like your informative videos!

Thanks for dropping by, hope you get to fly soon. Weather here has been the worst I've known it for flying.

Yeah, I cut that one short as well, should have taken off earlier.
Nice little flight 👌🏻. Glad nothing was damaged on takeoff.
Thanks, probably should have done a reverse.

Nice mission Mark!
Fingers cross for some warm, dry weather. A bit fed up with what the winter/spring has been serving us!
June 2025 is the next window 😲
Stay high in those bumps mate.

Take action today, and book your training. Come on Barry, don't delay. 🔥

I will do a reverse next time, or take the Nuc XX instead... 😁 I'm glad I could enrich your holiday experience. 🤣
Beautiful photography, as usual. And that looked bumpy as heck.
It's the best weather we've had in a long time and still not optimal. 😲
I can't believe you have canola flowering already. Ours is only about ankle high in Southern Alberta
We've had a warm wet winter so maybe they came out a bit earlier than usual. This was on 13th April too!
Nice flight! Was up myself this eve!
Beautiful flight.
Bumpy as heck! But at least you got up. I thought you had chopped your wing at the start.
Me too! Not long back from a service either, but thankfully no damage. Should have done a reverse.
I would have been straight down with bumps like those lol
With the weather being so bad for so long, I had to stay up at least an hour!

Hi Mark. Is that a strobe on your RH spar? If so, which is it please. TIA

Yeah as Paul said the Hadron is a feisty little thing, and gets worse in gusts or strong wind. Probably should have done a reverse launch.
