The law here in Canada is a joke. So what they get caught? Because they are "under 18" it will be a snap on a wrist and will be out within 24 hours. Another word, IF you are under 18, you are invincible. Get a pardon when you are 18, and you are good to go with fresh start. What a joke.

5 years after a summery offense, 10 for an indictable offense.
Then up to a year waiting tine to see if you qualify.
Your youth record doesn't magically dissappear when you turn 18.
I know people who can never get pardons, because of what crime it was.

The Conservative government was tough on crime under Steven Harper. After Justin Trudeau was elected, the criminal justice system was changed to a soft-on-crime policy known as “catch and release”. This is the reason crime has gone through the roof, carjackings, stabbings, home invasions and murders have increased. When the police arrest criminals, they are released into society the same day. The criminal justice system in Canada is a JOKE!

My son, who had turned 15 less than a month before, broke into a pharmacy across the street from where we live. He brought everything back to my home, including the two thugs that did it with him. When he told me what he had done I phoned the RCMP. They couldn't do anything. That was 5 years ago. He is a fentanyl addict today, living in government housing, given food money every month. He doesn't have to do a thing. Even given drugs and needles by his doctor- Dr James Ketch: Guischacan Family Medicine. Kelowna, BC - I kid you not. I've tried EVERYTHING to get him help.
