It’s a regular 32GB or less you can buy off the shelf. When you first put your chart plotter in service install the card and follow the onscreen instructions to “make” it your active captain card. That card stays inserted in the chart plotter during normal operation. Does that help?
I want to thank you for your video on finding waypoints at home. I had been struggling on how to set the waypoint in the correct place using Google Earth Pro. Your videos have helped me a lot on several issues you have covered. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. You are doing better than the Garmin support videos on how to use the units.
Awesome information sir! This video is a must watch for users with a Garmin Echomap series unit! I really learned a lot watching this! I did the same thing with my Lowrance unit years ago. Keep up the good work!
We published a video yesterday that went over the power button menu. If you would like a copy of the spreadsheet I have a business email now doubletfishing@ outlook.com. Just send me an email and I’ll reply with the attachments. Here’s a link to the Garmin video playlist. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!! ruclips.net/p/PLVvIAKByPmU4MDJw5rrEQ6qwHj1FlJ8HL
Great video. I use waypoints on my Striker 4 and set the marina so I can find my way back on big lakes like Shasta. Using Google Earth Pro is great expecially historical. Cool video.
@@DoubleTFishing it is my pleasure I just want to thank you for making me a better angler and learning my electronics you teach more than Garmin ever could, and better😃
Seemed like if you "Googled" at what date was Lake XYZ at its lowest level and then tried going back to that date on Google Earth Pro...that would be ideal to cover underwater structure.
No you can use any of the options, I use degree decimal sometimes but they should be the same on both programs. I did a better job of explaining it in this video link below, thanks for watching ruclips.net/video/xpHxqlrdpJI/видео.html
What your calling active captain card is just a sd card you use for active captain, or is it a special card you have to buy?

Awesome, got an even better one next week if I can make the software work!!
Using google maps in conjunction with the garmin is an excellent idea.
I’d love to say I invented it but Edwin Evers did a video about it last year, he just didn’t give details on how to transfer the waypoints

Do you have to match the Lat/Lon format (deg, min, sec) on google earth pro and your Garmin unit?
