I think one of the best representations you show is how much wind affects shot placement. It's easy to take rested shots in the early morning or late evening when the winds are most likely to die down and see what a given combination's accuracy looks like. It's another to be on the hunt and have a draft send the projectile wide, or low, or even high. But hey, things are rarely perfect, and those moments are the memorable ones. Thank you for the great video!
@@donpeer4477 It was very weird, I could see the pellets inflight cork-screwing and flying straight. That wind 🌬️ can really make it tough. Thank you for checking out my video!🤠👍
@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 you and me both Chuck I don't go to these competitions because I feel like it's a big click kind of thing, I would love to be able to get with a couple or more just basic guys that love shooting airguns like you and I do but everyone I would love to do that with is far from me in Levittown Pennsylvania or I would.
@springpistonriflefeverlone9611 Chuck exactly the same dam thing here in P.a I never see anyone shooting or even talking about airguns around where I live. I got a friend of mine into it and he bought a FX DREAMLINE 25 caliber from Utah airguns but never does he want to go shooting with me no more cause he has 2 bad knees but I told him we don't have to walk we can just shoot sitting at a bench but he's scared to do it with me because most of the areas I shoot at are properties that are near apartment complexes or warehouses and you have to go through them places to get into the woods or fields and honest to God Chuck people today are so dam nosy and if they see somebody with a rifle they immediately call the police and it's a real hassle. I had 4 police cars coming at me for shooting in a big empty field near nothing with there guns out telling me to get on the ground and I told them it's a fricking air gun but they don't care they were saying you can't shoot airguns around here it's the law so it's bullshit I have to be real careful cause the last thing I need is for them taking my gun and that's why my friend don't want to go no more. I still shoot I'm just real careful where I go.
Hi, Maybe it’s just me, and I commend you and appreciate you putting in the time to do this, and the wind certainly isn’t your fault. Having said all of that between the bad camera angles , shadows, and wind blowing, I really couldn’t see anything. Just a suggestion, you need to come up with a target holder that won’t flap around, and the camera on the back side, not sure that makes good sense either. Not complaining, just trying to help. Thanks
I did comment before I watched the whole video, you did explain the different distances very well, but just make a stand to hold your target on all 4 corners.😊
Excellent video i bought a used walther lgu in a wherry good condition a few days ago added a hawk airmax scope to it and its pellets on pellets on 30 meters this air rifle has really become one of my favourites together with my weihrauch and air arms it's one big happy German family now 😂
My Walther Reign is the same (pellet on pellet). However, the one that surprised me was the Beeman 1358 underlever. I never thought a $230 airgun could keep up with my Evol 22 Mini! It not only makes more power (31 vs 29 Ft/Lbs), but it's just as accurate at close ranges. Note that I have yet to test it at 50+ yards, but that usually comes down to finding the right pellet.
Awesome video Chuck, great content like always! I would say the crazy groups or spiralling pellets were without a doubt down to your tornado winds. Wishing you a great Sunday evening with your family!
@@j.verfaillie5742 Thank you so much!🙂👍 It really likes the heavier 16-18 grain pellets but I thought it might be an extreme drop over distance. I also got some H&N FTT in 5.53 that grouped even better in my HW80, so I will have to try them out in the 50s.
Chuck these are important and great videos showing how much hold Springers need when shooting farther yardage and not just springer pcps also. I never dial on my springer scope or pcp scopes I always use hold over and under its so much faster and why do you think they put them hash marks on these scopes just for that reason. When target shooting you can dial up or down but when hunting or pesting you just don't have the time because most animals don't stay there long enough to be dialing up or down on your scope.
