    Great video with useful tips.HW is a beautiful rifle i would like to have to my collection. Hatsan if it has a good barrel is a great value for money airgun but you have to do some improvements to make it better.But if you do the right things you can get amazing groups. Finally even expensive air guns can have some problems but when you give extra money you want what you pay for

    I see a lot of people roughly open and then slam the barrel closed, this puts a fair amount of strain/wear on the barrel pivot bolt. With a worn pivot point accuracy is compromised because of barrel droop.

    Good overview of things that affect spring piston air rifles. I only have two German air rifles, a HW 95 and a Diana 430L. The Diana is uncommon in this country as it is tuned down to the UK power restrictions and Airguns Arizona brought in a batch several years ago at a price point like the Hatsan but typical German quality, not unlike your HW 77 (both being under levers). I aso bought a Hatsan 95 for my Son-in-law about 4 years ago. All of those will shoot dime size groups, though I have only gone to about 30 yards in Son-in-laws back yard with them. As I am not a hunter, that level of backyard accuracy is good enough for me. Scope mounting on the Hatsan was difficult with the package scope (which is crap, but manageable at those close distances). All that to say you covered springer basics well.

    About three years ago I bought the HW 57 in .177 and i have to concede that it had quite a twang when I started shooting it, but it was accurate from the beginning nonetheless. After a couple of 500 rd. tins of pellets the twang subsided though. It just needed some time and shot counts to get broke in. Ever since it shoots just nicely. It is accurate and there is no perceived vibration after the trigger is pulled. Giving a (newly aquired) Weihrauch a tuning is certainly not wrong, however I do believe that it is not an imperative necessity. Granted, the Weihrauch plant in Mellrichstadt definitely does mass production, however their quality control and management is not to be underestimated. The guns they produce are obviously supposed to be perfectly viable on their own and with the experience I have made with my HW 57 named above, I can tell so. After an initial phase of breaking in, the spring will settle in and the gun will function perfectly well. Not every Weihrauch buyer will either want to invest in or actually have the resources for an additional tuning. My HW 57 has shown to me that you don't have to include a tuning with the purchase of a new Weihrauch gun, just to be able to experience its full quality range. Patience and persistence in the break-in phase will do the same as a tuning, allowing the gun to develop its own character with its shooter.

    I have diana 34 and it is 3.8 kg i think and i realised when i was shooting my friend's norica marvic the rifle is eztremly light which make the shots flying all around. You cant shoot free handed accurately, when you hold it the hartbeat is whiggling the rifle. And it is 19 joules which makes the rifle more pickly to holding and shouldering.

  • @hhoonthecheap4212
    @hhoonthecheap4212 2 дня назад

    Great video as always. I have an HW 90. It seems to fill quite the range with adjustable power. Not a spring or gas ram. Compressed air spring. You can run the pressure down to HW 30 FPE and lower. To HW 95 or 80 power levels. The higher the pressure, the more pellet picky it gets. I never considered the Weihrauch line to be budget friendly. I think for beginners the Gamo line is a better entry level drug. Once you break the 150, 200 dollar mark with Gamo. You are on your way to a high dollar fix. The most accurate airgun I have. The Sig Sauer ASP 20 in .177. I would have liked to have one in .22. It's a shame Sig stopped production. At half the money, it out shoots any of my German rifles. If I had to part with all but one. The Sig would be the keeper.

    From my experience for what Gamo is charging & a lot of other companies such as the Barra Airguns Black Ops Sniper S are way over priced & just junk. My Black Ops shook itself apart 3 times & 2 of those times were after I de-greased & blue loc-tite everything. The plastic inside the stock cracked, picatinny rail kept coming loose along with the screw under it. All screws were torqued. Fun gun but they should've of made picatinny rail into the top shroud. Not everyone likes open sights. I hear so many bragging about springers/break barrels but imo I would never buy one again. There's no reason these companies can't use better steel & the engineers come up with better ways to assemble these violent spring/gas rifles. It really doesn't cost that much more but then again when using plastic vs metal there is a huge profit loss for them at our cost. Solution stop buying & send the message.
