@@alfaromeonoproblem I need to replace exactly these bulbs on my 156 and your video is extremely helpful. 🙏😀👍Thank you for spending your time on doing it.
@@alfaromeonoproblem yes very helpful. I do have a question about the inside of my seat belt assembly. My car is Alfa Romeo 156 year 2000. There is a white plug thing but I see nothing to attach it to, what is the purpose of this? i.imgur.com/qmNUcqK.jpg
Great info. The camera angles were spot on especially because this would be tricky to see. Thanks for leaving in the error with the wrong light bulb because that shows the things we have to pay attention to when performing the repair. Also appreciate the details such as the design of the screw and how to re-insert correctly.
Hello. Thank you very much. 156 videos are common in this channel and I do not intend to sell them even. So, they will be a permanent part of the channel, and for that tons of videos to come
The electronics involved with the LED rear indicators on the 166 are ridiculously complicated - be glad the 156 doesn't have them ;) (not that they ever seem to go wrong, thankfully!)
Very good Bruno. I just checked my own lights and they are all ok. Being a -99 they are probably a bit week, but all are shining with the same strength.
I really like your videos about Alfas very very helpful. Thanks. There is one missing, how to change the power steering oil on the 156 2.0. Best regards
Hello. Thank you very much! I'm preparing a compilation on that, to have all alfas possible on one video. See if you can spot a coil tubbing near the AC compressor. If so, you have two quick release connections, undo those and let it drain. Grab the wheel or the steering wheel and turn rapidly lock to lock about 5 times. All oil will be out. Connect the pipes, add your favourite dexron D III and pour it in. Again on the wheel lock to lock 5 times and add oil. Turn the engine on 5 seconds then off. Check the level. Follow the last step until it's level stable and no noise
Do you have the part numbers holding the carpet up? I need all of them as I have bought the carpet missing but still need the fixings. Another brilliant video!
Thanks for the great video! I removed the cluster easily with your instructions. One question tho, does anyone know suitable LEDs for this? Must not be too bright, and at least as bright as the originals. I am not after doing this just for looks, I want this for safety as LEDs are quicker to achieve full brightness.
In my 156 1.6 1999, the light-bar wiring is different...instead of the wires plugging into the light-bar, they are soldered to the light-bar and they plug into a 2-way connector, where serves both the stop-lamp and the boot/trunk lighting at each end...really awkward design...Although this car looks like a pre-facelift version on the outside, could it be the intermediate interior-upgraded version?
Hello. That is not common at all. Also because the normal lights are failure checked at all times and the 3rd stop light is not. For that a totally different wiring, control unit and diagrams must be different. So probably on that car someone did that mod. Or not... Just a different design, that I never seen before
@@alfaromeonoproblem Not a mod at all. I will take a picture for you to see. The design is different , also the light bulbs are only accessible via screws, there are no latches like the ones you showed here.
After installing dash cams, I noticed on footage from the rear one, that at least one bulb is gone on the third brake light. For the 159, I read on the forum some instructions, but no videos and no photos, just explanation that souds very complicated, and mentiones many different clips. Is it realy that much harder on 159 compared to the 156?
@@alfaromeonoproblem Do I unscrew the middle (only) nut from the boot side, and press the clips in and up (also from the boot side)? Because that is the only thing I see. Or do I need to access it from the inside the cabin? Or do I need to remove the boot top lining?
I have noticed on many Alfa 147s, the rear brake hoses are hanging very low. Just interested, why is that? Too long aftermarket hoses, or broken clips that hold them?
Hello. Do you mean the hand brake cables? Yes, the holding clips come loose or broken with age and also because the aftermarket cables are not the correct size often and cause much more stress on the clips.
@@alfaromeonoproblem Oh right, yes. I meant the handbrake cables, don't know why I wrote hoses. Thank you. They do look very bad like that. Could catch on something and snap easily.

Hello. Not yet. But you have to take out the spoiler and the light comes off. It is all led system, no bulbs to be replaced. Take it out very calmly.

Olá. Tenho o vídeo em português se quiseres.
Eu não faço modificações para led.

Here in Portugal it's a MOT fail being like that, very dangerous too.
The facelift of the 156 doesn't have the emblem key opening tho
