- Hi there
Back in the pub shed again, and the theme of this video is music and records, and beer of course.
A quick look at my amp and record deck set up, then we'll have a look at the vinyl records from the 60,s and 70,s that me and my wife listen to up in the pub shed, and we'll have a few pints as we remember nights out back in the 1970,s
For Information
Beer Connector was JohnGuest 15mm pushfit to 12 mm pushfit
Cost £11.99 on ebay ..... seller was fluidairproducts
Music... Get Tough by Track Tribe from RUclips Audio Libary
Patrick's a Led Zeppelin fan! Now moved from star status to superstar status, in my opinion ;-)
Some great tracks on there, thanks Pat

Wholeheartedly agree!
Hi patrick love all your videos you are a super star great stuff
Bah. They ripped off Bert Jansch. 😆
Brilliantly funny when you say my wife has a zoom meeting for 2 to 3 hours ' I don't know what they find to talk about " as you continue talking non stop to the camera. Classic !!
Glad you enjoyed it Roger, I still don,t know what they talk about..... all the best Pat 😊
@@patrickdickinson6492 You probably don`t want to know what they talk about. My wife has her friends round for coffee and I bugger off into my computer room. Can`t wait to be able to disappear into my own pub shed (under construction) which was inspired by watching your channel. Cheers Pat.
This was a lovely walk down Memory Lane.
I'm a Yamaha person myself, I have been for 40 years.
I was blown away with your info on Vinyl, values etc, I have every LP, single, Cassette and CD I've ever bought, Music is so important to me, so relaxing and good for the soul, it puts me in a time and a place.
I loved your pub and club chat, I was in Steelys (Top Rank) every Sat and Sunday night in 74-76, I was surprised Baileys didn't get a mention.
Thanks again Pat, your a very well versed and interesting person.
Hi there nice to hear your comments, and your right mucic is such a pleasure, really transforms my pub, pity I can,t play music, but would breech copyright laws.
Remember the night clubs so well, Bailey's is one I went to a bit, probably more later when it was Romeo's and Juliet's, main place was Genevieve's and Mona Lisa upstairs, all great nights out, when we were young, great to chat....... thanks Pat
Oh Patrick, you are a breath of fresh air. Thank you.
Great to help in these worrying times, all the best Pat
I was born in 2002 so I'm probably one of your youngest viewers. Even though I wasn't around in the 50's onward, I still appreciate and enjoy the same music you listen to. It was interesting to hear the stories of your past. I enjoyed seeing somebody who cares/enjoys vinyl and uses Discogs. I also really enjoy your older videos exploring the UK. Myles from Australia.
Thanks Myles, yes there was some great music around in the 60/70,s which I can see you appreciate, really enjoying Discogs, all the best Pat
If my shed looked like that mate I'd never leave it 🍻👍
I do have the same trouble, thanks Pat
Hey Gaz, I think a masterclass cooking video session accompanied by some vinyl playing in the background is on the cards from you 😊👍🤔
I wish I had a place like that. Marvellous blog.
You are a legend in your own life time! If you opened a pub in Sheffield it would be the best pub in the North. Problem is now that my Wife has watched this she also wants to come!
She will be very welcome, best place to spend lockdown, all the best Pat
Once lockdown is done we all need a session with Patrick.🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
I,am definitely having one.... thanks Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 can we book a session when we can come to sheffield..or meet you in the local pub after lockdown to buy you a pint. Were in fl usa but my family is in wakley sheffield..great video
Pats going to need a bigger shed.😄🍻
Now we are talking!! I will watch this on Friday night with a few beers and peanuts. Cheers Pat!
Your very welcome, thanks Pat
As he gets more and more pissed up he starts slurring the vinyl names 😂😂 Fleetwood Bac Mac 🤣🤣🤣 great entertainment love it!
Agreed. I am 20 minutes or so in and really looking forward to watching Patrick get more drunk -Total legend and great role model!
Would,nt be the same if I was sober and drinking tea, I,am at my best when I,ve had a few, all the best Pat
Pat...you are a natural in front of camera. Love the pub and stories. What a legend
Nice of you to say Daniel, I,am ok talking to a camera, would not want to talk to a group of real people though, all the best Pat
Patrick is his own life's landlord! Big thump's up for him!
Thanks Olli, a great place to spend the afternoon, all the best Pat

Sounds like 8 or 9 to me :D
Great stuff @Pat..

@@grahambarker8129 I did have to do quite a few retakes, a extra half here and there !
You are an inspiration to us all ! Many thanks .
Nice of you to say, thanks Pat
An hour of a bloke in his shed drinking and talking about his records shouldn't really work,,, but testament to you pat it does,,, Im addicted.
Thanks appreciate that, for me it felt like I was chatting to you all individually, thanks Pat
Kept me and the mrs entertained during a hard lockdown, we now use your catchphrase 'see you in a bit...' With Love from Barnsley!
Lovely to hear from you both, and so glad it's helped...... thanks Pat
57 minutes of sheer pleasure, just listening to Pat reminisce. I'm not sure if I did a video of drinking under age in Blackburn in the 70's or my Neil Diamond record collection would get many watchers. Thank you Pat.
Great to look back such memories, all the best Pat
Fantastic memories for you Patrick! I can relate to going in my first pubs at 16...and such an exciting time! Your videos are very entertaining...I love the pub shed ones...keep it up Patrick and don't ever change the format and your style of presenting... you have it spot on!
Thanks Chris, yes the excitement of getting served under age, such great times, all the best Pat
i enjoyed this so much. as a child of the 70s in Detroit USA hearing all this history is priceless. I too live in the 70s. i appreciate this so much.
Your very welcome Bob, and so glad you enjoyed a bit of reminiscing, all the best Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 I always get excited when i see a new video from you Patric! Love the way you drink your beer! me too!

They were good times, just beer and music, no worries..... thanks Pat 😊
I can't wait to watch this with my dad on a Friday night. I'm glad you have another video out for us!

Here we go again... Many thanks Pat... By goodness your are a great bloke... Top Banana!
Thank you kindly
Thank you Pat for a trip down memory lane, much happier times..life was so much simpler in those days, but I feel we where much happier with more community spirit. Can’t wait until pubs are open again..........come on Boris gagging for a pint in my local.....
So true Sid, alot more straight forward in those days, less choice but simpler, all the best Pat
Thanks Pat for another brilliant video, many thanks for keeping us all entertained throughout this difficult period. Love you’re choice in music. Keep making the videos and enjoying the beer 👍😊
Hi Anthony, loved making the videos, and anything that helps us get through these uncertain times, thanks Pat
A quick slurp lol 😂🤣😁. This is my first visit to your pub Patrick but not my last. An absolutely superb watch and listen Patrick from start to finish and an equally marvellous vinyl record collection on display there. Love them all and particularly pleasing for me to see ELOs Out of the Blue, an absolute masterpiece from start to finish as are all of their albums from the 70s and up to present day. Yes, I an avid ELO fan and Jeff Lynne's latest incarnation of ELO are touring again. Your trip down memory lane Patrick brought back many memories of my own as I am sure it has for everyone who tuned in. Thank you Sir. You are a gem. Paul 👍😊
Hi Paul and your very welcome to my pub, and it's good to share a pint with you. Great to talk about my classic records of the 80/90,s many memories when we play these records. Hope to be camping soon probably in the garden but we will be returning to the pub soon, all the best Pat
REally enjoyes this mate. There are some of my favourites on there... From Dire Straits to Pink Floyd... Wishbone Ash to Glenn Miller. I bet your little pub is great on a weekend. Thanks for this.
Its the best place to be, its like a time machine, you are back in the 70,s just like that, trouble is I don,t want to come back, thanks Pat
You inspired me to build my own pub shed just in time for lockdown 🤣
Best thing I have ever built....thanks Pat
Variety is the spice of life, and with all your different varieties of video Pat. Your hotter than any curries. Magical. Cheers.
Yes your right there Peter, variety is the the spice of life, thanks Pat
The pub shed just gets better and better! What a great collection of classic records!
Yep, exactly my thoughts, best thing I have ever built, thanks Pat
Brilliant as ever Pat sincerely, thank you for inviting me into your pub. It is a great way to spend an evening. Even if there wasn't the Covid BS, it is still be a great idea that will take off.
Great to have you round for a drink, and a bit of reminiscing, all the best Pat
@@patrickdickinson6492 Hi Pat
This is a bit of a read Pat, I have been meaning to contact with an I idea I have had for your channel. I am not a salesman, this is just a suggestion so see what you think of this idea.
My wife and I have watched everything you have done over the most recent two years and have gone on a catch up and watched most or all of your adventures.
The Pub Shed, is always interesting particularly because I like the beers from the Kelham Brewery. Pale Rider is a favourite of mine.
I know the complications of multiple copyright infringements prevent you form doing so on your videos when uploaded to youtube.
However :-
May I suggest having a look at, www.mixcloud.com/live/
Mixcloud say this:- "The service is an open platform for all to upload shows to, and Mixcloud continually works with rights holders to identify, track, monetise or disable audio content on the platform, as they request".
The link will lead to people set up with their music who have gone live. Take a look at their set up's they range from professional DJ's to someone with a lap top, there are no set rules. I believe membership is £90 a year. You have an ideal backdrop with the PubShed a traditional classic look. I believe you could give a short introduction and set the cd, / vinyl playing and monitor comments through the session and reply directly, via live text or by the microphone, if you choose to.
As much as your video's are amazing, this should be a night off for you to chill out instead of hauling yourself up Kinder Scout or a tree etc, etc!!!. With a pint or two and play whatever music you like to your subscribers.
Once again I am not affiliated with and have nothing to gain with mixcloud at all. I have a regular account and several of my mixes are uploaded, probably not your style. Over the seven or so years I have never had any issues playing anyone's music or my own. www.mixcloud.com/soundgrounder/
Hope to see and hear you down the PubShed on mixcloud but if not there a music muted youtube will also be great.
Best wishes
Toni
A sincere subscriber.
Nice one Pat, my wife made me get rid of my turntable as in her words "it just collects dust" when I saw the Led Zep 4 album sat on the mat it brought back some great memories.
Time to get another I think Andrew....thanks Pat
Great collection, once again an enjoyable a watch, thanks Pat
Glad you enjoyed it Stephen
Love it!!!! What a great time.
It certainly was Dean... all the best Pat
Really enjoyed it. Your enthusiasm for the records is fantastic. I'm a collector and have been for many years. Have a few of the ones you own. Don't have a pub in my garden but here in Sweden they are still open.
Nice to hear from Sweden, not been in a real pub for months, luckly I have this small bit of heaven, all the best Pat
Who are all the people in your photos pat? Looks iconic.
At 42.03 - "I'm just going to get another drink --"a quick slurp" -that got me, I cracked and went to the cooler and got a cold one !
Patrick, it was amazing to see how many records between you and your good wife that I have in my collection at home. I am going to check on my Zep 4 album, because I bought that in 1976 and have only played it once (I used to buy a record and tape it, then leave it in my collection, something many did I think ?) and what with the new Soulo coming out in May, there could be a few pounds there towards the cost of it.
Again, like many of your followers, it's a big thank you from me again- great subject too.
Lastly, I wish my wife liked King Crimson and ELP !!!!, take care, cheers, Mike
You might be suprised what it is worth Mike, you could also sell it and any others on the Discogs website, all the best Pat
Great to sit and watch and listen to you and your memories of youthhood in Sheffield in years gone by , brilliant aarr Pat great work 🥃
Glad you enjoyed it, exciting days they were, thanks Pat
What a brilliant episode, loved it, brought back so many memories, very similar music taste.
Yes certainly brought back many memories for be, thanks Pat
Hiya pal, glad to see you are okay - not heard hide nor hair off you for a while. Funny reminiscing about misspent youth, and I can remember going out in my Dad's suit and tie trying to look impressively old at 16, standing on the footrail at numerous pubs and ordering pints of mild and bitter because that was what men over the age of 18 drank. Seem to remember most Friday nights having a drink at that age were full of adrenalin based excitement as to whether you would get in and served, but mostly disappointment when you got slung out lol. I did once have the pleasure of seeing the real Status Quo at a pub in Manchester, as the tickets were cheap, and due to a misprint, everyone thought it was a Quo tribute band and no one bought a ticket and went apart from me, a mob of my mates and about 10 other people! They were just asking everyone what they wanted to play so we had a Quo jukebox for the evening! Cracking night, and slightly blurry due to the establishment selliing Buckfast lol. You take care, all the best. Nick
Hi Nick, yues remeber that excitement of would you get served or not, all added to the excitment, when you got to 18 just was,nt the same, sounds a memorable night you had with Quo, all the best Pat
That intro was funnier than the first chapter of John Cleese's autobiography 'So, Anyway.'
Amazing atmosphere, all the best Pat
Thanks for the stroll down memory lane brings back good times in my life god bless
Yes great memories from our younger days, thanks Pat
yer me to
Wonderful, wonderful stuff. Memories of youth and times gone by. Great to hear about all your old drinking haunts and how the records can - just by looking at them - bring back the past in, wonderful technicolour. I've long waited for this video, and now, at last here it is, well done again. Superb. You and your wife, IMHO, have impeccable tastes in music. Long live the local, and shed pub, wherever they are. Such a shame that so many are disappearing.Thank you Sir for a wonderful glimpse of the past.
Hi David, it was great making it, brought back so many great memories for me, must admit, pubs beer and music go together so well, thanks Pat
Wow Pat, Those albums don’t ever part with them, me and my first wife did car boot sales approximately 35 years ago, I had about 400 albums, you guessed it, I decided to sell them, I have regretted it ever since, you can not get them back, all those memories.
Yes John a story I keep hearing, definitely hanging onto mine, thanks Pat
Just going out to buy some beer and peanuts before I watch this; can't find my platform shoes at the moment...
Haha, remember them very well, enjoy your beer, thanks Pat
Loved every minute of this epic video. Your pub looks superb- I envy you.
Thanks Ken, it is a truely wonderful place, nearest thing to heaven I would imagine, thanks Pat
Excellent video, just what we need in these times. Thanks Patrick
Thanks Mark anything that helps us through this time, thanks Pat
I have been watching this channel since 2017, and even my 9 year old son loves watching your videos (the camping ones). Your a regular on our living room TV. Loved this video. I couldn’t believe it a few months ago when our sons friends were round, one of them came up to me holding my cassette walkman and asked if it was a mobile phone.. Its a different world and Im only 32. Streaming music is okay on the go but doesnt come close to having the vinyl/cassette, even a CD. I think the whole concept of an “album” is disappearing with streaming services that let you constantly skip songs. Anyway, im going on a bit. Thanks for all the free entertainment! Look forward to more outdoors stuff, and gutted theres no camping just now, we are up Northern Scotland and the snow is 4 foot deep.
Thanks for watching my channel Jonathan, times are changing, but some of us don,t want to change too much, I like the old days, all the best Pat
I would rather watch your films than any Hollywood movie top banana thank you Lannaye from Leicester
Thanks Lannaye, really kind of you to say, thanks Pat
Gr8 to see Pat on a dismal Wednesday nite in lock down cheer me up with another fantastic video 👍
Thanks Robert, hopefully it can only get better, thanks Pat
I too was a young lad in the 70s/80s and did a bit of under age drinking, it did us no harm! My home town of Retford in Notts had a night club where they had a lot of live music, most of them very famous now but at the time they were still doing the small renues, it was called the Porterhouse and was run by Sammy Jackson who also had Rock city in Nottingham. Great times and great music. Thanks Pat your video brought back some good memories of better times.
Great to look back Nick, Porterhouse sounds a great place, only place I went to near Retford was, the cats cradle, many years ago, thanks Pat
1:47 your wife's gutted Pat 😂
I, you might be right....Pat

Bit younger than your good self, Pat, but we must have passed in many a pub doorway.

Hi Susan, yes the lights really take you back, I think part of the fun and enjoyment is searching and adding all the little bits to the pub, thanks Pat
Amazing Patrick 👏 bit of Nostalgia there always happy to see some great vinyls - Fleetwood Mac being my favourite. Loved the 📹 video. Fantastic.

Really great watch again Pat. We share a passion for records as well as the outdoors. I’ve long been a fan of discogs, nice to hear you talk about it. Spotted a few of my records in you and your wife’s collections. And very sensible going for an automatic turntable - no mishaps with scratches after a few drinks. Keep those great records of yours in mint condition. Loved every minute Pat, thank you!
Thanks Paul, very impressed with the turntable, spend hours on Discogs, so much info and some gret records to buy, all the best Pat

Doesn't get much better sitting with a beer or 4 in your own man cave watching you Patrick! Top man. The longer the better (as it means more beers!)
Thanks Paul nice to sit with a beer and have a chat, thanks Pat
Hi Patrick. Fantastic memories you brought back for me with this great old days. I remember those disco lights and the big ones in late 1970s. Talking about music I was a meat loaf fan in late 70s and 1980. I still remember shaken Steven's and that classic green door. 80s I liked the blues brothers and they made a film which I remember and then there was madness group. I still remember Adam ant. Late 70s I was a kid and I loved disco music and at boarding school we had discos which was so cool. Early 80s were great and I loved the music back then. I remember those record players of the 1970s and they were classic. Your wife and yourself has a great collection of them and I can remember few of them.
Last week I did a lockdown local wild camp and it felt so good to get to camp again. This week I'm doing another lockdown wild camp and hopefully easing of lockdown happens soon. I tasted beer when I was about 9 years old but I didn't like it. You remember blues brothers and Madness? I thought they were good. Michael Jackson was great as he did legendary songs like thriller which I loved. More recently I like Sash and they are dance group and their song stay was fantastic. Spice girls were good and the song I also liked was gangsta's paradise by Coolio and LV. Imagine if youtube was around in the 1970s and early 80s it would be awesome! Great classic video from the good old days and stay safe!!!
Hi there, great to look back to the good old days and the great music we played back then, its so good we can relive those memories still and listen to some great track's.
I have Meat Loaf and Bat out of Hell, a classic,it's difficult to know which to play they all have memories.
Maybe another garden camp soon if we are not allowed out, still be good to be camping anywhere, all the best Pat
I don’t know why I just like watching this Lad just pound down pints. No sipping here. Let’s get me self hammered
It was a good day, thanks Pat
