UPDATE Catch Can: GR Yaris & GR Corolla G16e-GTS

- Just a quick, one-week-in update on the Catch Can, in order to share the very positive impressions I have from this kit that not only is keeping my GR Yaris charge air intake and intercooler clean, but has also improved transitions to and from idling, while improving efficiency of brake servo as opposed to the hack solution that was routing to atmosphere and blocking the intake inlet.

Nice update Adriano, I'll be buying this, good to see they used your install video 👍.
I'll be interested to see how my low mileage garage queen inlet etc looks after 3 + years, only wish they had the none matt OE looking finish hoses as an option.
Regards Russ..
Yes, garage queen 😂😂😂
Sorry but all the silicon hoses are like that Russ!
Buongiorno Adriano. Gentilmente che aspirazione usi? È quella di serie con un coperchio diverso? Grazie i
Ciao Buongiorno, utilizzo un aspirazione completamente nuova, progettata da noi. A breve rilascerò un video di spiegazione!
Grazie attendo

Hey mate. The PCV is directly fed to the manifold there is no hose to divert to a catch can from the pcv valve unless you do custom fabrication work
Only the secondary breather hose can be diverted so the catch can can’t really do what it’s meant to do
Unless you have done the custom PCV intercept fabrication what you’re describing is a placebo. Even on our Australian Yaris which is pushing 500-700HP we get minimal blow by
Hello mate,
Thankyou for pointing this out: I had run a hose from the cam cover to a simple jug as experiment, and got a whole load of muck coming out, with intake blocked, like you would do on Vag Tfsi and many other modern engines. Fact is, for me and another person racing the GR, it makes a positive difference 🤔
Then, I have seen certain diagrams from Toyota, and the system diagram: what you say is correct looking at the diagram, but less in engineering terms (out of steady state), because the intake elbow creates a huge amount of depression while accelerating.
To make a long story short, I am now digging deeper both with Toyota and HEL to understand the matter completely, then I will report back.
Thankyou for sharing
@@AJClubsport What did you figure out on the above question? Would this be the same on a 2020 Corolla SE?
Not racing the car, just trying to maximize the life because it's a commuter being driven 140 miles per day.
@@dannygreen7473 Sorry Danny, I can't answer this, but @HelPerformance can give you a swift reply if you reach out to them!
Stop believing everything you see on YT. You don't need an external catch can on the GR Yaris. Go study blow-by gas ventilation system of this vehicle and make educated decision.
I’m sorry but this is very educated information: try for yourself as myself and many other, after knowing the system, and tell me the difference. Everyone can’t be wrong

Just added it mate!
