I've had kidney stones for the past 30 years, I pass about 2 or 3 a month. I've had 6 lithotripsies in the last 10 years. I past 1 about the size of an eraser on a number 2 pencil last year. So I got some Limon juice and dropped it in. It was in the bottle for 2 weeks. It had no change at all. Limon juice may help keeping them from forming, but that's about it. I've tried everything, even changing my diet. But I just recently learned a new trick that works better than anything. Extra virgin olive oil. I drank about a half cup the first time and the very next day I passed 4 stones. I haven't had any more since. Now I take about 2 shots a day for preventable maintenance.
Thanks for sharing your experience, @danatownsend1124! Dealing with kidney stones can be incredibly challenging, and it's great to hear that you've found something that works for you. Extra virgin olive oil is known for its potential benefits in preventing kidney stones, and it's fantastic that it's been effective for you in preventing further episodes. Always important to find what works best for your body. Wishing you continued success in managing your kidney health!
That's great information about olive oil. I swear I took far too much MCT oil (five squirts instead of one from the bottle to relive constipation) and within the next day I felt the pain of the kidney stone. Not sure if that's what the pain is coming from but never felt this before. I went to the organic health store and found a stone breaker product that relieved the pain within an hour. I've been drinking acv but will go get lemons tomorrow. (always been my fav thing to drink hot or cold since 1995) Thanks for the information as my mum who is 74 also suggested olive oil or any kind of pure good oil.
That's really interesting I had not heard that Extra Virgin Olive oil would help. I've been plagued with stones for 35 years, with my first experience at 25 yo being a large stone getting stuck in my left Ureter which hospital doctors could not understand, they left me suffering for 3 days with a blockage before eventually figuring it out and taking me down for open surgery which left a 10" scar around my left kidney area and an infection that took months to sort out. I was back in hospital 15 years later for key hole surgery. Finally I discovered a way to manage these being consumption of Chanca Piedra with lots of water of course, I take 2 to 3 500mg capsules of Chanca piedra a day and my pains just melted away within a few days so now I keep taking the Chanca piedra as a preventative since I know from scans my left kidney has so many stones dispersed within it that the lithotripter was not offered to me. I'm going to look further into Extra Virgin Olive oil, thank you for mentioning your experience. I would just like to add that Chanca Piedra is a powerful substance and I found it's really important to drink lots and lots of water when consuming it. Further for me it's essential not to take any after 6pm because I have to flush it all through with water before going to bed otherwise I experience scary pains when the chanca piedra activates but has insufficient water at night to flush it out.
I love OO but, 1/2 cup - gross. How much is a shot? 1/2 cup of OO is 960 calories. I'd be worried about switching problems - from kidney stones to obesity, which can have disastrous consequences throughout the body, not just the kidneys.
Your other video suggesting chanca piedra was so good. Univ of Michigan is now doing research on chanca piedra as we used lemons and chanca piedra to dissolve a large stone. There is a german study showing chanca piedra dissolved stones too
I had 8 stones on my kidneys doc said comeback in 6 weeks we will look again i took chanka pieadra and lemon juice in 6 weeks gone doc was flabbergasted

I am on Potassium Citrate, Calcium Citrate, Chanca Piedra, Lemon Juice, Ginger and Magnesium *liquid 600mg per day. I dissolved a 1.5 cm stone in 3 months... Stent is being removed in two days. I also have another stone in the lower calyx that is 1.6cm and I am still hammering all the items above to work on that stone.
@LindyLooo99 That's quite an impressive approach to managing your kidney stones! It's encouraging to hear that you successfully dissolved a 1.5 cm stone in three months. Keep up the good work with your regimen of Potassium Citrate, Calcium Citrate, Chanca Piedra, Lemon Juice, Ginger, and Magnesium. Wishing you the best with the stent removal and continued efforts to manage the remaining stone! 🌿💪
That's great you found a formula that worked for you. What dosage of each item did you use, and which brand of chanca piedra? I have a 3.3cm stone and want to avoid surgery, if possible. The chanca piedra tablets I tried in the past didn't work by themselves.

I didn’t know lemon water helps with kidney stones. My sister/mom at church told me years ago to drink the mixtures to help with the liver. I forget why she said but she was on the liver transplant list for years, like twenty plus until she finally had to get the transplant. Praise the Lord she is doing great! Warm lemon water in the morning helps me with bowels movements too. Sorry if tmi 😁 kidney stones HURT!!
Kidney stones are evil! I have only had them once...but holy moly, I thought I was going to be going to the ER because that pain was so intense. Especially because at the time I didn't know that was the issue until they passed.
I went to ER twice. They are charging me 4000, and 6000 dollars, to just relief the pain and send me home. My kidneys almost fell on chronic disease because in ER don't informed me nothing, they didn't even gave me my results, I had to request them by phone and Internet site. When I compared the two results both in a period of 8 months I got so scared and angry at the same time, I run to take 3 tablets of chancapiedra everyday, my creatinine was going high and my filtration scary low. After three weeks I went to another clinic and my parameters went back to normal. Then I had X-rays and no stones were shown. I owe 10,000 to kaiser for nothing, they would let me go into dialysis because their silence.

Hi Mikajla, While there has been some research on the potential benefits of chanca piedra (Phyllanthus niruri) for various health conditions, including kidney stones, more studies are needed to fully understand its effectiveness.
Hi Dr. Melissa... your video are great and full of education. I have yet to find an answer to this question on or offline. Will Chanca Piedra affect blood pressure and sugar levels? I am diabetic 2 with blood pressure issues and trying to pass a kidney stone.

I've had kidney stone issue 4 months ago and I've researched that pure cranberry juice and also Apple cider vinegar helps with shrinking and passing of kidney stones. Tried it and both surely do help...ive taken them. separately 👍👍👍🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Aloha Doc! Thanks for all the info! You recommended Chanca Piedra by Herb Pharm...within a few days of talking it, I passed a few stones 👍 just wanted to thank you for all you do. Most Dr. just want to give you some kind of prescription which I think should be a last resort 💯✌❤🙏
@@mirov77 I can't remember the dose, but I just followed the instructions on the bottle. I went thru 2 bottles, I only stopped because it was always sold out
Chanca Piedra is generally safe but may cause lowered blood sugar and blood pressure, digestive issues, and can interact with certain medications. It's best to consult a healthcare professional before using it, especially if you have existing conditions or are on medication.
Hey there, You can try looking for Chanca Piedra and Tribulus supplements at local health food stores, pharmacies, or online retailers that offer international shipping. If you're unable to find them locally, online platforms like Amazon or iHerb might have options available for delivery to Namibia, Africa. Hope this helps!
Hi Dr Melissa, thank you for this great information. I've been suffering from kidney stones for about +10 years, with recurring episodes every 2-3 years. I was hospitalized this week because of a complicated UTI that was being caused by a 5-6mm kidney stone. My mom sneaked in some chancapiedra into my hospital room and I was able to pass down a tiny piece of the stone (1mm). I collected it and will send it for lab testing. I am on antibiotic treatment with cephalexin and I'm taking 500mg of chancapiedra every day. My question is: Can I increase the dose to match the 4.5gr even though I tend to have low blood pressure? (about 90-100/60) Also, my kidney stone is in my left ureter but the weird thing is, afer I was released from the hospital I started having sharp pain in my right side as if I had kidney stones in that side as well. -Could it be that the CT scan did not catch a potential stone in my right side? Or is it possible that my right kidney has been overworking due to the obstruction in my left one? Thank you and sorry for the long comment!
It's best to consult with me regarding the dosage of chancapiedra and the pain on your right side. I can provide personalized advice based on your condition and medical history.
@@AJTR611 Hey there! I did not increase the dosage and instead, kept taking just 2 chancapiedra capsules a day along with tons of water. About a week after I posted this comment, I had the worst pain ever. The stone was passing down so I drank about 2 liters of water and took 2 ibuprofens, and then just waited for it to come down. It did. I sent it to the lab and it was a calcium-oxalate stone. Other things to keep in mind: Back then, I was taking a bunch of supplements and I hadn’t noticed that one of them had Vit C which is reaaally bad for your kidneys. I immediately got rid of those supplements. I sometimes have sharp pain as if I was forming a new stone but then I just remember to increase my water intake, along with acidic foods, like apple cider vinegar and I've been okay ever since. Hope you feel bettet soon!
Do you only take Chanca Piedra when your stones are in transit? Or when you have stones? Or do you recommend taking it every day as a preventaion plan?
The use of Chanca Piedra can vary depending on the individual and their specific health needs: During Kidney Stone Episodes: Some people choose to take Chanca Piedra when they have kidney stones in transit or during kidney stone episodes to help promote the passage of stones and alleviate associated discomfort. Daily Prevention: Others may take Chanca Piedra as a daily preventative measure to support kidney health and reduce the risk of forming new kidney stones. Taking it regularly may help maintain optimal kidney function and discourage the formation of stones.

Thank you for the information. I have chronic kidney stones and two right now that are pretty large (right/left kidney). Trying to stay away from surgery (had to many in the past). I would love a preventive plan just nothing seems to work. X-rays always show new ones that formed. Going to try your plan w/ Chanca Piedra, Tribulus, Magnesium citrate and see how that works. Thanks for sharing information as I'm always looking for new ways to prevent them from forming. I do drink 64oz of water a day..
You're welcome! I'm sorry to hear about your struggle with chronic kidney stones. It's great that you're exploring preventive measures to avoid surgery and manage your condition naturally. Chanca Piedra, Tribulus, and magnesium citrate are commonly used supplements that may help with kidney stone prevention, and staying hydrated with 64oz of water a day is essential too. I've had kidney pain in my right kidney for over a year now. I went to a Urologist that did a $13k CT scan and he found 1 5mm stone in my right kidney. He didn't give me any help other than recommending not taking vitamin D. Just to come back in 3 months and see where i'm at ... I'm doing the lemon juice now (thanks!) I'll try the Chance Piedra too..
I'm glad you found the information helpful! It's essential to follow up with your urologist, but in the meantime, natural remedies like lemon juice and Chanca Piedra may offer some relief. Make sure to stay hydrated and consult with your healthcare provider before trying any new supplements or treatments. Wishing you all the best on your journey to better kidney health!
Do you recommend starting by taking all 4 supplements together with the dosage you named? If this is the first time taking supplements for kidney stone prevention. I have had kidney stones for the past 5 years, and they keep coming back. I have a diet sorted out with the help of a physician. But want extra help.

Hi, I just watched both of your videos on kidney stones. Thank you! I have calcium oxalate stones. I see two different bottles of Herb Pharm, Chanca Piedra drops on Amazon. One says "Urinary" and the other, "Stone Breaker". I didn't see where you talked about one vs. the other. Which one do I take if I already HAVE stones, and trying to dissolve them, in conjunction with your lemon juice routine?
Hey Carl! I'm glad you found the videos helpful! When it comes to choosing between the Herb Pharm Chanca Piedra drops labeled "Urinary" and "Stone Breaker," both can be beneficial for kidney stones. However, if you already have stones and are aiming to dissolve them, the "Stone Breaker" formula might be more suitable as it's specifically targeted towards supporting the urinary system and breaking down stones.
Chanca piedra whike trying to get pregnant. I read it can prevent pregnancy, but whete is this info coming from? Is it safe during the follicular phase or can it still prevent pregnancy then as well?

Yes, vitamin K2 plays a crucial role in calcium metabolism and can potentially help prevent the calcification of kidney stones. Vitamin K2 helps regulate where calcium is deposited in the body, directing it away from soft tissues like the kidneys and into bones and teeth where it's needed.
Both magnesium citrate and magnesium glycinate can be effective for kidney stone prevention, but they work in slightly different ways. Magnesium citrate is known for its ability to bind with oxalates in the digestive tract, reducing their absorption and potentially lowering the risk of kidney stone formation. On the other hand, magnesium glycinate is often preferred for its gentle effects on the stomach, making it easier to tolerate for some individuals. Ultimately, the choice between magnesium citrate and magnesium glycinate depends on your personal preference.

What about fresh flat leaf parsley? I had a uti that was asymptomatic and went up into my kidneys. I blended half a bunch of parsley, a banana, ice, cocao powder and water. It takes the pain away any time it happens
Fresh flat leaf parsley can indeed offer some relief for urinary tract infections (UTIs) due to its potential diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties. Blending it with other ingredients like banana, ice, cocao powder, and water can make a soothing drink that may help alleviate discomfort associated with UTIs.
It interesting that the Lemon vs Potassium Citrate control group study doesn’t show the results for the control group? Odd. Would be interesting to know how Lemon compares to slow-release Potassium Citrate to eliminate calcium oxalate stones.
That's a valid observation! Unfortunately, some studies may not provide comprehensive details or results for every subgroup. It would indeed be fascinating to see a direct comparison between lemon and slow-release Potassium Citrate in managing calcium oxalate stones. Research in this area is continually evolving, so perhaps future studies will delve deeper into these specific comparisons. If you come across any additional findings or studies on this topic, please feel free to share. Your curiosity and engagement make this community thrive! 🍋🔍

So I have a 11mm stone or 1cm. I’m not a candidate for surgery. Is there any chance these products will actually help get rid of the stone? Or at least break it up to where I can pass it?
Yes it would, certain remedies such as drinking plenty of water, lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar may help to prevent future stone formation and facilitate the passing of small stones.
I was diagnosed with two large kidney stones. I refuse surgery! I have no symptoms at all, my blood and urine results are good. Will I be in pain if I start taking the herb you recommended and lemon juice?
Hi @silviyagrigorova7215, I understand your concern about kidney stones. It's great that you have no symptoms and your test results are good. While I can't guarantee you won't experience pain, many people find relief with natural remedies like the herb I recommended and lemon juice. It's worth trying, but remember to consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new treatment.

@user-tr1iy9pd8s, Kidney stones can cause various symptoms, and the specific ones you experience may depend on the size, location, and type of the stone. Common symptoms of kidney stones include: Severe pain: The most noticeable symptom is usually intense pain in the back, side, or lower abdomen. The pain can come in waves and may radiate to the groin area. Hematuria: Blood in the urine is another common sign. Your urine may appear pink, red, or brown. Frequent urination: You may feel the need to urinate more often than usual. Cloudy or foul-smelling urine: Kidney stones can cause changes in urine color and odor. Nausea and vomiting: Some people may experience these symptoms due to the pain and discomfort. Difficulty urinating: You may have trouble starting the urine stream or experience a weak flow.
That's an interesting thought! Citric acid crystals can indeed be dissolved in water, similar to lemon juice. While they both contain citric acid, the concentration and other components may vary between the two. Using citric acid crystals could be a convenient alternative to lemon juice, especially if you prefer precise measurements or don't have fresh lemons on hand. However, it's essential to consider any additional ingredients or processing methods used in the citric acid crystals. Ultimately, experimenting with both options and observing how they affect your recipes could help you determine which works best for your needs.
Decreasing fatty liver, gallbladder, kidney and pancreas helps and lemon helps with this as well as a healthy diet. Been watching Dr. Mandell and Dr. Berg on this. Try tart cherry juice as well.
So just to be clear, does this advice also help with uric acid kidney stones? I get recurring stones almost weekly, not fun. My specialists are taken aback when I tell them this, never have they suggested Chanka Piedra?

just passed my first stone at the age of 70. OMG. I have two others left to pass. Because kidney stone when blocking the tube sets up a bacteria infection, the doctor recommended an antibiotic called levofloxacin 500 mg. Can I use your method to reduce/remove the size of the 6-9 cm stone?
Hey Rick! Dealing with kidney stones can be quite challenging, especially at 70. While the method I discuss may help with certain aspects of kidney stone management, it's essential to follow your doctor's recommendations, especially when it comes to antibiotic treatment and managing larger stones. Drinking plenty of water, adopting a healthy diet, and staying active may support overall kidney health and possibly aid in preventing future stone formation.

Fatty liver and kidney stones are distinct health issues, impacting different organs. Fatty liver involves the liver accumulating excess fat, often linked to diet and lifestyle. On the other hand, kidney stones form in the kidneys due to the crystallization of minerals. While both conditions can be influenced by factors like hydration and diet, they aren't directly connected. It's essential to address each concern separately with appropriate lifestyle changes and medical advice. If you have more questions, feel free to ask!
That's a great routine! Warm lemon water on an empty stomach can have numerous health benefits, from aiding digestion to providing a morning boost of hydration. Keep it up, and always listen to your body's feedback. Cheers to your health journey! 🍋🌞

My husband drink Chandra Pe... just yesterday he had his results from ultrasound. He had 2 stones but one is gone. He drinks it in a tea about 3 days a week. I try to get him to everyday and now the results started him drinking more. He had had 2 bouts of stones before he started Chandra.( per a friend that watched a guy use it and pass stones). He is 66 years young. Is an official ref for highschool sports but when he had stones he could not work. Sounds like he is to drink two cups a day to pass this last one? He likes the tea with honey. It’s the only tea/coffee drink he likes. He is a sprite or water person. Could he pass stone and start the second option you like , started with a T? Or just stay in tea/tincture? He lover lemonade and drinks it when I make fresh. So he don’t feel like he felt the passing of this one stone but was happy the test confirmed-it gone. I guess the tea truly softens the edges! And reduces
He went to ER TWICE fir stones about 5-7 years ago. Went again overbite about 2 years ago and been on the tea since but like once a week or so bc he doesn’t make it himself. I have to say here is your tea. I’ve tried to get him to be self sufficient with it but hasn’t worked yet.
Hey there! Dealing with a kidney stone can be tough, but there are dietary changes that might help. Generally, for calcium kidney stones, it's essential to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and reduce the risk of stone formation. Cutting down on foods high in oxalates like spinach, nuts, and chocolate can also be beneficial. Additionally, reducing salt intake and limiting foods high in animal proteins might help.

(always been my fav thing to drink hot or cold since 1995)
Thanks for the information as my mum who is 74 also suggested olive oil or any kind of pure good oil.
I've heard this helping for gallbladder stones but didn't know it would work for kidney stones as well. Very interesting
Your other video suggesting chanca piedra was so good. Univ of Michigan is now doing research on chanca piedra as we used lemons and chanca piedra to dissolve a large stone. There is a german study showing chanca piedra dissolved stones too
Yay! Yes soo many - love they are finally FINALLY addressing this.

It can be so acute people pass out from the pain
I went to ER twice. They are charging me 4000, and 6000 dollars, to just relief the pain and send me home. My kidneys almost fell on chronic disease because in ER don't informed me nothing, they didn't even gave me my results, I had to request them by phone and Internet site. When I compared the two results both in a period of 8 months I got so scared and angry at the same time, I run to take 3 tablets of chancapiedra everyday, my creatinine was going high and my filtration scary low. After three weeks I went to another clinic and my parameters went back to normal. Then I had X-rays and no stones were shown.
What ever happened to you with this? I have low BP as well and am wondering the same. Did you end up having other stones?

The use of Chanca Piedra can vary depending on the individual and their specific health needs:
During Kidney Stone Episodes: Some people choose to take Chanca Piedra when they have kidney stones in transit or during kidney stone episodes to help promote the passage of stones and alleviate associated discomfort.
Daily Prevention: Others may take Chanca Piedra as a daily preventative measure to support kidney health and reduce the risk of forming new kidney stones. Taking it regularly may help maintain optimal kidney function and discourage the formation of stones.

What about vitamin K2 in the role of calcium metabolism? Can it work against the calcification of stones in the kidneys?
Yes, vitamin K2 plays a crucial role in calcium metabolism and can potentially help prevent the calcification of kidney stones. Vitamin K2 helps regulate where calcium is deposited in the body, directing it away from soft tissues like the kidneys and into bones and teeth where it's needed.
So it has to be magnesium citrate? Would magnesium glycinate work?
Both magnesium citrate and magnesium glycinate can be effective for kidney stone prevention, but they work in slightly different ways. Magnesium citrate is known for its ability to bind with oxalates in the digestive tract, reducing their absorption and potentially lowering the risk of kidney stone formation. On the other hand, magnesium glycinate is often preferred for its gentle effects on the stomach, making it easier to tolerate for some individuals.
Ultimately, the choice between magnesium citrate and magnesium glycinate depends on your personal preference.
It works!!!

What is the symptom of kidney stone doc...thnx
@user-tr1iy9pd8s, Kidney stones can cause various symptoms, and the specific ones you experience may depend on the size, location, and type of the stone. Common symptoms of kidney stones include:
Severe pain: The most noticeable symptom is usually intense pain in the back, side, or lower abdomen.
Citric acid can also be bought as crystals which dissolve in water. I wonder if this can be as good as lemon?
That's an interesting thought! Citric acid crystals can indeed be dissolved in water, similar to lemon juice. While they both contain citric acid, the concentration and other components may vary between the two. Using citric acid crystals could be a convenient alternative to lemon juice, especially if you prefer precise measurements or don't have fresh lemons on hand. However, it's essential to consider any additional ingredients or processing methods used in the citric acid crystals. Ultimately, experimenting with both options and observing how they affect your recipes could help you determine which works best for your needs.

May i ask, can kidney stones cause constipation?
Yes, kidney stones can sometimes cause constipation. When a kidney stone obstructs the urinary tract, it can disrupt the normal functioning of the digestive system, leading to symptoms such as constipation. However, it's important to note that not everyone with kidney stones will experience constipation, as the symptoms can vary from person to person. If you suspect you have kidney stones or are experiencing constipation,

How does fatty liver equate to kidney stones pls
Fatty liver and kidney stones are distinct health issues, impacting different organs. Fatty liver involves the liver accumulating excess fat, often linked to diet and lifestyle. On the other hand, kidney stones form in the kidneys due to the crystallization of minerals. While both conditions can be influenced by factors like hydration and diet, they aren't directly connected. It's essential to address each concern separately with appropriate lifestyle changes and medical advice. If you have more questions, feel free to ask!

I currently have been diagnosed with a 3cm kidney stone. It’s been recommended to me to have it surgically removed. I have no pain from it, however I do suffer with recurrent UTI’s. Will this program of your recommend supplements help to keep the UTI’s away? I’m not sure if the stone is what’s causing the reoccurring UTI’s.
Hey there! Dealing with kidney stones and recurrent UTIs sounds tough. these supplements and lifestyle changes might help reduce the risk of UTIs. Drinking plenty of water, cranberry supplements (if you're not allergic), and maintaining good urinary tract hygiene could be beneficial.
Wow that’s huge!!
Yes the stones cause secondary infections. I had continuous UTI’s n then felt like i had one, but neg test- right before my stone passed!
Try the protocol in video and also look up Dr. Bergs videos in stones. Try to break it up before it passes n causes probs.
That’s what I would do…
I have an 8 1/2 mm stone moving in my ureter n was SUPER painful - landed in ER. Can’t hurt to try these things! Naturally first, if ur in no pain.
Lucky!
God bless!
I have BPH and a kidney stone both of which cause UTIs because of reduced urine flow. Also the bacteria feed on insulin. Try a super low carb diet.
Hi Doc , I have a 14 mm x 10 mm in left kidney found during ER visit on Cat Scan. My pain is left side under the ribs. Stone is in left kidney . Have not seen Urology yet until october 12 2021. Should i start the stone breaker pills now or wait till see urologist ? . BTW the ER doc says he couldn't find reason for pain.
I tried this on my big stones, I got so sick and started breaking the stones.. still had to wait for urologist appt.. It was painful
@@jessicabailey8445 thank you for sharing. What did occur after doctor appointment please.
@@tammyslifeinthailand Well I tried breaking it up and it ended up having blockage to urinate. So I had a doctor's appt and HD to get a stint put in and they broke my stones up small and sucked them out. I have another stone now that needs surgery again. Once you get them, they can be recurrent.
@@jessicabailey8445 I’m scared to take the stone break before see the urologist on October 1. That’s the first available appointment. But so far the stone is not moving so hopefully I make it there before
Thank you for your response.
@@tammyslifeinthailand I mean, I don't recommend trying to break and pass it because I am a weeny, lol. I hope you stay comfortable until your appt. Let me know how it goes. 😊
Awww poor guy! Yes we totally underestimate the degree of life disruption and pain these cause. I would recommend all 4 of these tips together. 👍🏻
I understand and he is so lucky to have you as a health advocate.
Was there’s blood coming out when your husband goes to the toilet
18mm calcium kidney stone on right kidney. What diet i can follow.
