It looks on track to pass. The media actually started talking semi-positively about it for a change in the last few weeks, instead of screaming the sky is falling like the liberal media usually does when something pro-2A passes.
well, I originally commented because his face says it all when he asked the question. other than that, to answer you question glock factory sights fucking suck and you know it. everyone knows it. I never said anything about the pattern. while I do prefer traditional 3 dot, glock pattern sights work just as well with practice. I love glocks, I have 2. a gen3 glock 19 rtf2, and a gen4 glock 30. nonetheless, in my opinion, the factory sights aren't very well made. I actually have steel glock sights on my 19. It's just the damn plastic ones that suck. it isn't too far fetched an idea that they used the plastic sights as opposed to the steel sights. just look at his reaction when he said it.
Bladsmith ok, but seriously how many other companies make cheap, but good quality factory sights that are aftermarket friendly? heinie sights come on Taurus pt111 pro pistols and they cost $1200 less. all I'm saying is that they could have chosen a better sight for a gun that costs almost 1300 dollars bro. come on man, you pay 1300 for a pistol with cheap ass plastic glock sights? even glock knows those sights are shitty. why else would there be such a large after market for them? build it right the first time and you wont need aftermarket sights.
He's not talking about aftermarket, is it that hard to understand? I mean the guy said it clearly in his post "in my opinion, the factory sights aren't very well made". If Silencerco is using glock after market sights on this thing than it's not an issue but if they are using glock factory sights than someone should kick them in the balls because those are some of the worst sights made. They are a step above airsoft quality.
apparently yes it can i even shoots miniture grenades, flares, armor penetrator rounds and even a tracer round and lastly my favorite the freeze bullet.
The only part of the video I didn't like was when they said it wouldn't be out until April. I was hoping it would be out this week and I'd be firing it before the end of summer. One question, what was the demo ammo you shot? subsonic 165 gr?
After watching multiple Shot Show videos, i've realized a lot manufacturers are putting out pretty decent products at very reasonable prices. I guess manufacturers learned the hard way that the majority of gun owners don't want to spend 2500+ for fancy looking AR's and handguns.
And the award for the clumsiest most unprepared product review goes to these two guys. And what was up with all the ricochets? I will say that we are currently perfecting a true compact internally suppressed weapon with a high capacity magazine and our test models are even quieter.
@@UHK-Reaper Bought two. The first one first one was the 5th sample out of the factory so I left it in the box and bought a shooter. I love it. It's sitting in its normal spot next to me in our living room. Fun to shoot and reliable. I'll never sell them.
***** i believe so. I don't own any (yet) but I read an article a few months ago that said if you qualify to own a pistol you can qualify to get a suppressor. Made it sound like a fairly simple process.
The interview was hit or miss, but damn, those silenced shots were amazing! I don't think I've ever been able to *hear* the bullet zipping downrange that way before. The closest thing I can think of is the whizzing of bullets in Saving Private Ryan. Very fucking cool.
I mean in terms of firearms it's really not that crazy. I spent 700 on a glock 45 brand new and that's like not even remotely anything fancy. But I agree it's not super affordable for everyone it's mainly just people with some cash to throw around that are more than just hobbyists
Full Republican government and all on board with the bill pre-emptively. Not only the hearing protection act, but the NFA being repealed is on the table. NRA is strong this election-cycle.
They're going to get shit for being an almost amazing handgun and all they had to do was use MLOK. I personally don't care, but many others do. How was recoil from having only half a slide moving?
MyNameIsNick nothing was preventing companies from doing before, other than "want" and ingenuity. After the HPA passes, I see a LOT more suppressors being sold, being that no need for the tax stamp.

should have made this more like a small pdw, in pistol form it is not so practical. Extend something in the back that the slide reciprocates in, put small bilateral charging handles on the back of the slide, and an option for a small folling "arm brace". A safety to run the PDW unholstered with a sling, and more options for side mounted weapon lights + forward grip. In this pistols current state a light is not practical for the toggle switch will ride so low below the trigger guard. Just make it a PDW and slightly change the rear and fore ends to allow for grip and "brace".

Yeah but half the size. If you look at the odst pistol being held it's huge in hands.
Definitely, the M6 is a huge handgun, it's 50 caliber.
StudyinSteel so they need to team up with Magnum Research...
more like the gun in pscho pass
kai sinclair I agree on the shape but the overall function of it resembles the M6 Halo magnum a little more.
I forsee these being popular once the HPA passes. 45ACP version with 1911 magwell coming soon?
hahahaha this dude was like " you used glock sights?" then immediately said "you guys did everything right!" oh man...
Thus the reason that using Glock sights was the right move. - Patrick

They did everything right by using a sight with a plentiful aftermarket instead of making their own non-replaceable or proprietary ones.

someone in the background is having a lot of fun.
Quintus Aurelius Symmachus
kind of diminishes the point of having a suppressor when your neighborhood is blasting M16's and having 747 flyovers
Can it detect if the target is a latent criminal
bob drenan ayooo
apparently yes it can i even shoots miniture grenades, flares, armor penetrator rounds and even a tracer round and lastly my favorite the freeze bullet.
A1 reference.

If Hearing Protection Act passed I'll figure out a way to conceal carry this bad boy😂
Looks like The Dominator from Psycho Pass
Joshua Radick ikr
It just makes me want one more
Just without that pesky "mood ring" safety.
Duane Young, LOL
That is the first thing I thought.

any news at on the deserttech mdr or is it completely vaporware by now?
I shot one this fall and am first on the list at SilencerCo's largest retail store. Cannot wait!
Did you get it? How is it?

Holster included??? Decibel level test numbers?
Note that only certified inspectors and Enforcers of the MWPSB are authorized to use this firearm.
Micah Jaso because it looks like the dominator from psycho pass.
Will it come in other calibre's?
Give us some close-ups. We can't see anything from way back here.
Carl Siemens yeah this video badly needed close ups
Carl Siemens in-range TV with Ian has close ups
Daniel Dunlap
I watched that. However, just because Ian and Karl show it in detail, doesn't mean TFB can't or shouldn't.
Robocop wants his gun back...
The prototype you're shooting looks OK, wondering what developments will be done for the final version?
This is my most anticipated product of this year!
so 1499 for the total package? these suppressors fit on anything besides glocks?
That is for the gun. It is not a Glock, it is an entire new gun. - Patrick
cool cause i'm not a fan of glock so I can't wait to check this out.
***** i believe so. I don't own any (yet) but I read an article a few months ago that said if you qualify to own a pistol you can qualify to get a suppressor. Made it sound like a fairly simple process.
Full size version is hearing safe with all 9mm ammo (Or so they say), shorter version is hearing safe with all subsonic ammo.
mike s no its a totally new gun with the suppresser built on to it as part of the gun it just uses glock mags
How is it locked? Or is it blow-back? Thanks for the look.
The interview was hit or miss, but damn, those silenced shots were amazing! I don't think I've ever been able to *hear* the bullet zipping downrange that way before. The closest thing I can think of is the whizzing of bullets in Saving Private Ryan. Very fucking cool.
will they make it in select fire automatic? ya know for the full on robocop gun effect
"We made it $1,499 so EVERYONE can afford it", said NO ONE EVER

IF the HPA passes, I'm buying one straight outta basic.
Will a threaded barrel version be aviable? (In case of "Why I don't throw a suppressor on a already suppressed pistol?")
yeah but what if you add a threaded barrel with another can on it?
And another one, and another one, and another one, and another one, until you've got a can touching your target.
Yo dawg...
I heard ya like suppressors...
I'm curious about that resonating I was hearing in the long configuration. What's possibly causing that and could that be addressed?
Jesus Christ it's perfect. I just need money.
Laird Cummings hopefully not if the HPA passes.
Josh Callejas I thought the HPA got thrown out?
Trump Jr and South Carolina got it going full steam, alive and well, and apparently Don has been helping to whip up Senate votes ahead of time.
Trump is full of shit- HPA won't get passed

Were you using subsonic ammo?
sounds like a war zone in the backround but I cant wait for this gun what is it going to cost you think?
How do the legalities work on a device like this? I assume it works like you're buying a suppressor rather than a pistol?
Stupid question... but do you need to pay for the $200 stamp to get this?
yes a tax stamp is required
Squidlytendencies bummer. Thanks for letting me know thou
Just in time for the Hearing Protection Act!
Does it come with Hotshot or Hi-E rounds?!
If the HPA passes these are going to fly off the shelves! I love it!
This will fit nicely in my rifle case.
would I need a silencer license for this?
DO YOU NEED TO BY SUPPRESSOR LIC FOR THIS GUN
They're going to get shit for being an almost amazing handgun and all they had to do was use MLOK. I personally don't care, but many others do. How was recoil from having only half a slide moving?
They must have found a noise suppression specialist to help them develop this. Wonder how much GMP it cost?
What round are they shooting?
"So the frames currently are 3D printed, but they're going to be injection moulded, you BRATATATATATATATATA"
DO YOU NEED BUY SUPPRESSOR LIC FOR THIS GUN
Wow! That is incredibly quite!
holy shit, silenced pistols now sound like they do in videogames lol.
Finally the real life dominator from psycho pass is coming
that thing sound stupid quiet. Does anyone know how many more Db's it is compared to a suppresed, subsonic, .22?
do you think once the hpa passes we will see alot more integrally suppressed firearms on the market

Dunno about you guys, but if I heard that many ricochets at the range, I might find a different place to shoot.
This is the future of firearms.

Sounds like silencer co is a group of great people
So is this NFA or since its made suppressed is it ok?
thanks for the info

Brianstorm depends on your state
"but they are legal in every state you would imagine"

Robert Sawyers Lets hope for the HPA
I'll still buy one even before the HPA because once that goes into effect boom 200 in my pocket for another handgun 😉
Anybody know how they were able to use Glock magazines? Did they require permission or striking a deal with Glock?
Patents are good for 20 years, tops (there are periodic maintenance fees that must be paid, or the patent expires sooner). The Glock 17/19 is more than 20 years old, so there isn't a patent in force for the design. what mags does it take?
did you even watch the video?

double stack glock mags.
bustinevo thanks I really watched it and it 2.22 he said it lol
"It'll be available in Quarter 4 of 2016" 6 months later.. wow... but for 1699 that's not bad! Compared to my edc.. a $4000 nighthawk 1911
Looks like something straight out of Splinter Cell.
On March 31st I get a $1800 longevity bonus, it is so spent now.
Charles Taylor Excuse me, is this where the line starts? lol
can you buy in California?
NFA item so no.
NEED! That sounded just about "Hollywood" quiet
looks like the gun of the future to me

this thing is actually really cool
I don't see any compelling reason to use keymod over just having a 1913 rail. I don't know of any pistol sized lights that use keymod attachment. Although let's be honest you aren't attaching anything on that keymod section, the gun will just be too big. Best option I see for having a weapon light on this is to design an end cap with a light built in.
So is this one of those ATF determinations where if it is built that way the tax stamp is like $5???
idk if it qualifies as aow lets hope hpa passes soon then no worries. fuck all the red tape
coolest thing lately
should have made this more like a small pdw, in pistol form it is not so practical. It looks like something robocop would use. Sweet.
Or a fallout 4 10mm
yep, added to the 2017 bucket list of shit i need
I will be owning one of these
$1499? I think I may have found a new carry gun!
Seth Rogan shootin' the Maxim 9!
Dang! I want this pistol soooo bad!
Damn if it had a wooden handgrip it would look like the gun from Psyco-Pass
Imagine if HPA passed how fast those things would sell...
