Sehr sehr geil. Vom zweiten auf den dritten Februar hab ich meinen 18ten gefeiert (03.02 Geb.), genau in dem Jahr. Weiß sogar genau wo ich da war. Danke für das Video!
I remember a flight from MIA>ATL>Salt Lk on DELTA just before the last run the smell of jet exhaust in the rear of the cabin and questioing the Co about it and his reply was jokingly " you would have leaks too if you flown as many times as this aircraft has...No worries though"...five minutes later I was upgraded to first class mid flight. I always flown DL after that.
Sorry to disappoint you, this flight was early 2013 and only 6 weeks before N162AT finally retired. Have a look at the start screen or the info section for more details.
@@LogMyWorld NOOOO Damnit! Dude Lockheed will come back soon and surprise us all like they did with the L1011. But yeah, for now they need to see that Boeing is losing its touch and get over there loss against MD. The L1011 never crashed due to mechanical failure unlike the DC10 and MD11, which I'd personally never fly on. Where is she nowadays or is it too late to say goodbye?
I worked on this jet back when ATA used it for US military charters... I always loved the L1011.
Magnificent footage of one of the last L-1011s flying at the time! N140SC for Northrop Grumman is the last one standing now.
Exactly the same crew I flew with around the same time. We really got this one in the nick of time.
Yes, I even had a spare seat and ticket for you which was left unused eventually :)
@@LogMyWorld Maybe 2 flights in 2 weeks was pushing my luck! I think I should publish my video soon. I don't think any harm can be done at this stage.
@@flymajj yes, looking forward to it. I only recall your wing view video which was without revealing any names.
@@LogMyWorld No one watches our videos these days anyway, so no harm can be done ;-)
When I first saw the video uploaded 2 years ago, I was like "Wow a flying commercial l-1011 in 2018?!" But then I read the description
Fantastic missed this edits and Nairobi is my home shocked to see a 1011 flying even in 2013
Orbital OTK is still flying right now. Plenty recent videos here.

What? This comment is completely unintelligible.

Also, can I have the thumbnail? It looks absolutely incredible. It's so rare to find good close up or wing images of the Tristar.
well, thats settled, i'm going to pakistan
still flying 2019?
Sadly not, it stopped flying 6 weeks after this video in early 2013 due to a flock of birds.
dang u birds
Well it'll be back, like all good L1011 Tristar's, they come back..!!!
!!!
THE FUCK?!? PAKISTAN IS STILL FLYING THEM?
No, sadly the aircraft was grounded 6 weeks after this flight.
