I can see Nintendo laughing at you as the Switch is still outselling all PC handhelds put together. What makes a good desktop is not what makes a good handheld. Nintendo realized long ago it's about the games and not having the most powerful hardware. When it comes to the pc my 7 year old laptop outperforms the Ally. Of course as soon as I point this out ally and go fans will cry how heavy a laptop is and how you cant play in your bed which I have done before there were any pc hamdhelds. I been playing Unicorn Overlord on the Switch, a perfect game to play on the go with the battery lasting for hours without thinking about a plug in .
as a device yes, but tell me, what games do you play in those gaming handhelds? do you really play on it because its your only method of playing said games or you are just using it because you need to justify your sunken cost fallacy?
If your speaking on tech performance and durability and those will do something for a console but when you have the best games you cant play anywhere else, thatll do everything for a console
idk i like switch online, the family plan lets a bunch of us split the bill even with my friends in canada, and we can play a boatload of our retro games in mock split screen mode online, its like $10 each a year and they add more games monthly
The switch is primarily for kids. Children could care less about a games graphics. Kids just want to be able to play their games while sitting in the back of the mini van or on the school bus or wherever. This is why the switch still sells more consoles than other handheld platforms. There are more kids who want a handheld gaming system than there are adults who want a high-end handheld with the latest graphics. Even when Nintendo releases the Switch 2, it won't be what adults are looking for. Sure, the graphics may be a little better than the current switch, but Nintendo knows that the primary target audience for the Switch 2 will still be children, and therefore will not invest heavily in trying to make an expensive product marketed for adults with the fastest processors and expensive graphics cards.
I've had a Steam Deck but it was too Loud, too Slow for Desktop gaming and too FAT with the case to drop into a backpack so I sold it and bought for half of it's price a used chip modded Switch Lite. It's quiet, slim, lightweight and I can play every retro game I want 4free.
Seriously kid......if no ps5 its completely useless... Also it need a very good internet speed wich most of the people Don't have always... So a big no for ps portal... Even ps vita batter than ps portal ok

thats why i went with the ally, i wanted the raw performance and its the slimmest out of the deck and legion go
Steam mainly did so well because of one thing. Game library. It can carry or kill a game system.
