- So, in the #DragonBall video games, Android 19 was a father! You think Android 21 was strange? 19 had a son in one of the Dragon Ball video games - and he was over 9000! Android 19000 to be precise. However, there is more to this story than just the antics of Dragon Ball Online - it turns out that the games of #DragonBallZ and #DragonBallSuper (even the likes of Xenoverse and Xenoverse 2!) gave rise to characters that were either amazing, wacky or downright terrible. Today, we present to you the wild world of Dragon Ball video game characters and whether you would want to see them appear in a mainline story.

Hey folks, MasakoX here. Now when it comes to video games, a lot of people know the drill with them. For the most part, it's the Raditz to Buu adventure time and time again with the occassional what if scenario here or there...then it became all about getting jpegs of characters in Legends and Dokkan Battle. Then we did have FighterZ and Kakarot, following the trinity of those and Xenoverse. For the most part, new characters were few and far between...but the ones that did get added have become part of the community such as Chornoa and Android 21 and Towa...hmm...I'm beginning to see a pattern as to exactly WHY they are so well acknowledged...but that's for another video.
In any case, there are some characters that are made for Dragon Ball properties which don't exactly get their time to shine...in fact, you would be even surprised that they were made for official properties at all. For a lot of these, you might be thinking "OH! That's fan-made" or "That looks more like it belongs in One Piece!" - but no! These off-the-beaten-track peoples and animals and whatnot are part of fully licensed products for games that are related to Toriyama's vision...whether or not the man had something to do with their creation, design or inception is a little bit up in the air.
Dragon Ball Video games often offer us some wild scenarios and match ups (of course when they're not just reminding us how quickly Raditz was brushed aside), though rarely do those crazy circumstances become the main topic of the title. We alluded to how they categorized certain things such as battle techniques, or what would be our ideal production for a video game in other entries on this channel...but sometimes...sometimes, you have to join in on the madness and check out the original material they are adding in. You gotta hand it to the lesser know game titles when they give things a go. Gotta love Dragon Ball Fusions for example.

In Fusions, there's one fusion that almost no one knows because it was a Street Pass fusion my gf and I did, and that is Radicha. The fusion of Raditz and Yamcha, and what I remember of the bio was when it said that it is the fusion was perfect because it was from the two weakest fighters. I think. Savage bios indeed if I'm remembering correctly.
Android 19 has a son? I get flashbacks from "Robots (2005)" movie where Rodney Copperbottom was created by his parents with robot parts needed for him to grow up from infant to adult.

@@BobBob-tr7wi Well, 18 and 17 were originally humans biologically before they were converted into Androids by Dr. Gero.
Surprisingly for some reason, Gero allowed the fraternal twins to retain their reproductive organs as Android 18 have a daughter Marron with Krillin and Android 17 have a family with an unnamed woman (most likely Colonel Violet who cares for animals as shown in original Dragon Ball).
Believe it or not Rodney was voiced by Ewan McGregor!
Buu's fury added a strange amount to the canon. Some people got last names, Janemba got a backstory heck even the skeleton robots (creatively termed the Destroyer series) from Kakarot started off in that game.
Janemba always had a backstory though?
The skeleton robots were inspired by the Pirate Robot in og Dragonball. It's a really stand out fight in the RR Saga and I was obsessed with him as a kid. Now he's everywhere lol.
@@Xeno574 In Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury, King Yemma tells Goku that Janemba was the kingpin of an organized crime syndicate in the Demon Realm before he came to Hell. His scouter profile in the game also states this, saying that the soul of the crime boss Janemba had just arrived in the soul cleansing machine, and turned into a monster after taking over the Saike Demon.

Soba from DBZ Sagas is a pretty cool obscure character in my opinion, as prior to Jimuzu's intro in DBS, he was the only Yardratian warrior seen in media, and is quite an interesting outlier to the rest of his race. A nice runner up would be the brothers Maima and Tsumuri from Super Saiya Densetsu.
He's basically a Super Yardrat. He's more powerful than even Freeza himself. It doesn't make any sense when compared to the official lore in the series, to be honest. Also, his design is a bit too over-the-top, in my opinion. However, I do like the overall concept of there being a rare Yardrat warrior. But with that said, if it was me, I would have designed him visually not much different from any other Yardrat - and he would have been weaker than Freeza.

@@dayrocket7372 It would be nice see Androids 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 12. Then again, fan arts and fan fics are a thing to make them.
Android 8 or Eighter already appeared in pre-Z Dragon Ball. Major Metallitron too but it is unknown if he had an Android number designation.

@@HiAgainTheNameIsStillAyle Considering Major Metallitron gave Kid Goku a serious challenge, he must be stronger than Android 8. He could be Android 9 or 10.
It's been years since I played Fusion but I do remember the little quiz game answering one of the questions I had for a while. Apparently Android 19 was created for the purpose of putting Gero's brain into the new body. No wonder it didn't have much fighting capability.
I always assumed that. I mean... he couldn't do the surgery on himself. Android 19 made the most sense to me.

my favorite part of db fusions is when you fuse hit and cooler via streetpass (in that specific order) the fusion randomly gains a sayian tail

Fusions has so many characters it would be its own video series running through them all.
Heroes has a lot of original characters because it's kids transforming into heroic version of various species.

My favorite what if fusion has been snd alwayswill be Cellin, the Perfect Failure. i need a what if series come up by masako about how he would continue to live and deal with his failure form for the rest of z and super.

Why does Android 19000 look like someone’s OC but they wanted it to be “special” and not a sayian.
I really liked seeing all the different minor characters in DB Fusions and reading their usually very brief biographies. I'd really like to see them come back some day. I think Caluppa and Fargo in particular seem like interesting characters.
Having played fusions to finish... you'd be surprised about
Recurter (Burter and Recoome)
Shujinko (Nouva and Goku)
Ginyuza (Frieza and Ginyu)
And Tutz (Raditz and turles, they have a sick screen visor, like Tagoma)
GoD, the things I would do for a Dragon Ball Fusions 2...
I honestly paid little attention to non-canon material, so I had no idea.
I'd like to see some more Demon-world characters. My ideas for Dabura's family:
Queen Chiffon: mostly busy running things. Pays little attention to her children, but doesn't want them running off like her husband did. May have some fallen Kai genetics.
Prince Antremei: tends not to see the good in anything. Wants to find Zalama and have him reset the whole omniverse.
First Princess Genoise: gets along with her sister Saverin "Rin". Is capable of some small magic but is better at combat. Can sense energy but not magic power. She wants more balance in the Demon world. Turns out there aren't many females, and she doesn't want to be stuck breeding.
Second Princess Saverin: decent at combat but better at magic. Can sense magic but not energy. Taught her sister "Jen" a "combo spell" which turns out to be Metamoran fusion. They fight Goten and Trunks and hilarity ensues. Acts curious and sweet but can be a bit of a troll.
Having two sisters playing off each other allows more explanation of concepts and character growth.
While We're talking about Android 19, it makes you think: what if Bulma decided to take 19's head, rebuild him and reprogram him as a good guy?
... What if she did? 19 is weaker than 17 and 18 he's only relevance would be a background character Bulma would be using as a lab assistant.
Oh hey she would have had someone to take Monaka's place meaning Trunks and Goten wouldn't of had time to get into his truck meaning the Vegeta thing wouldn't of happened making Dragon ball Super slightly better.

In Dragon Ball Heroes, the avatar characters are real world humans taking form as Dragon Ball-like charactrers using special arcade machines Kaiohshin of Time placed on Earth, so they're literally just avatars.

For the 3 Playable GoD Avatars I don't think their story is anything as interesting as you speculated. Based on how the other Dragon Ball Heroes Avatars go, those 3 are just human children that use those GoD Avatars.

Always thought Android 19 was what Majic Buu was originally gonna be.

I don't see that many people talking about Demon God Demigra, the main villain of Xenoverse 2, and the temporary ally to the Time Patrol as of the recent arc of Heroes.
I'd love to see more of him, he's pretty obscure, but I love em to death! He's one of my favorite Dragon ball characters out of all of them!

Speaking of Dragon Ball Online I"m still waiting for Dragon Ball Super to do the whole "Buu gets horny and creates an entire race" storyline.
I just love the idea of an entire Buu race existing and just living on earth.
Plus it lets us move past the trope that's gotten pretty tired at this point. By which I mean the "no one knows the Z fighters because no one can use Ki at all except a small few."
The Z fighters don't have to be famous but can we have the planet earth itself show at least some progress?

Localization. In the japanese manga both androids and cyborgs are called "jinzoningen" which an be translated as "artificial humans" so it's not specifically the word for android or for cyborg but can be used for both

I actually liked Demigra more, and am a fan of Chronoa because she is funny and kind, and generally a well rounded character rather than just HeR x ChRoMoSoMe.
Also, the rest of these seem really cool!
