If you can perfect parrying and dodging combat starts to flow way better and you start to feel like a Sifu God lol. Also L1+ down Dodges high attacks and grabs (80% of enemies attacks are high attacks so it usually works like you said) L1 + up Dodges low attacks.
I love the fact that once all your lives are used up it's game over. I hate games that hold your hand the entire way through + It Gives you a reason to try and get a high score, gives it that almost old school arcade game feel while being something modern, unique and new. So far I'm only on level three but seafood is one of the best games I've played in a long time
So Dark Souls is hand holding because it has infinite continues? Those old school arcade games you’re reminded of had infinite continues too due to their quarter system, even with a lot of old school games back then hoarding dozens and dozens of lives was trivial

For the life of me I cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong with parrying. I’m blocking the moment a strike is about to hit me and it just counts it as any ordinary block
I'm quite proud, managed to beat the club on my 2nd playthrough. The two guards before the boss still give me a few deaths but I can get to them still aged 20. I had no idea about the spamming, I'm going to try that next time I play. Thanks for the video
Good vid dude thanks... although I'm sure I've been smacked a few times spamming the dodge button 😀 that's when I started to time my dodges more which made the fights more fluid.....
@@Elbethium just beat it, I ended up just cheesing each boss by not damaging them but only blocking, until their structure was broken. I just couldn't seem to damage structure at a faster rate than health otherwise.

Question, are you fully upgraded or demonstrating this on the easiest difficult, because using the games default difficult, holding block has my posture broke within a few strikes at best
When the enemy has a kick or punch where it’s a yellow:/orange colour do you parry that? That is the only thing I’m confused about I did beat the game today it so good and addictive.
This game has absolutely nothing in common with sekiro. Do you remember combos in sekiro? I don’t remember them as well. This is just mortal kombat with lame camera.

Dodging is high/low, left and right are the same as a high dodge.
True, but dodging left or right then avoid low attacks is quicker than pressing up/down
I'm pretty sure it's because left and right are the same as dodging high, so there's 3 ways to dodge high and 1 way to dodge low

There were glowing attacs in the vid, with weapons, dodged them like any other 👍

You can only parry /deflect glowing attacks not guard it but it will give structure damage

there are only two types of hits in sifu high and low you doge high by pressing S or down on controller and low hits which are sweeps and kicks
Exactly. I felt people might be confused a bit about directions.
They fixed the whole 1 opponent attacks at a time countering the spamming parry and blocks
I find myself being thrown different attacks from 2-3 at a time and it’s frustrating

dodging and parrying is cool and all, but cobra kai taunt me that better defense is better offense. It did not translate well.

I can't seem to wear down structure on the bosses even though I'm dodging, not quite sure what I'm doing wrong.
To wear down the structure you must use perfect blocking 👍check out my other guideon shrine upgrades, it took me on a 0 death playthrough

Glowing attacks cannot be parried they must be avoided. The game says that somewhere I think in the tutorial section.

The posture build up is a sekiro mechanic. You'd think an avid sekiro expert like you would remember that 👍
Absolute garbage blocking/dodge system. Just uninstalled it.
