Thanks everyone for watching. The winner of the giveaway was @MichaelDaniels. Thanks to the 175+ people who entered. I try to do giveaways as often as I can, and I have some more coming up! Remember, I'll NEVER ask you for money, ever. If you guys are interested in a battery powered Mackie SPEAKER with 6 inputs, you can check out my video on the Showbox here: ruclips.net/video/TKxZ-_Y2iFk/видео.html and if you want a battery powered mixer with more inputs/features (and more expensive), check out this one: ruclips.net/video/VbD-4cDhh8k/видео.html Hope that helps you get the right one for you and your needs. Cheers!
I think that using a power bank instead of some proprietary (or worse, a non-replaceable built-in) battery is really clever. It runs out of juice? Just plug it into a backup power bank and you're good to go. In a sense, you get unlimited power this way. 😄 But yeah, not having an extra internal port to charge that power bank is definitely an oversight.
I agree, it is pretty cool. I wish you could charge it while it’s in the device, but it’s definitely pretty cool still… and unique. Mackie always has creative stuff I feel like!
Same here. I really appreciate, that I can use any power bank of any brand, and swapping empty one for a fully charged one is probably like 10 seconds of work. OTOH, I can't not see this as going cheap and pushing the battery problem to the user. Maybe that's too convoluted, but a better design would be something like a few 18650 cell holders, that you can put if you need the battery functionality, but if not then just power it up with USB-C like always.
I appreciate the honest review! Now that I have my M-air 18 installed into a 6U shallow rack, would be quite fun to have a convenient bonus mixer to play with at smaller shows and parties at least. Unlimited power!
I believe the power bank option is there to allow you to swap it out. That is likely why it can’t charge the power bank when the usb-c cable is plugged in. My 2 cents on it not charging the power bank.
Scott, with all the work of producing these most informative videos, producing your own music, playing live, having friends, and being a great husband, I believe YOU must have Unlimited Power!
So,.I have this mix with 2 array powered speakers, which I run with my jackery, I run a mic and acoustic on main inputs,, I use the 2 headphones outputs always,, one for my.in-ear xvive, and the other headphone to record my performances using the zoom6, sometimes I need the 3.5 to run a computer mix for a performer when we perform on the same line up, And I always use the Bluetooth to play music before my performance and right after. I have a small metal table that attaches to my mic stand and keep the mixer right next to me, This mixer has made my entire pa system completely portable, I can run the system for at least 2.5 hrs , which is perfect since my set is a 1.5hr . I always charge it before a performance, its just want you have to do, and sounds better then a lot of venues' pa systems out there! I even connect my mobilmix to the pain pa system for better control, I think this is a good review but would be better to see how and where you could actually use this to its potential! If your a singer with just an acoustic, this is a must have! I'll post a video with my entire set up soon!!
ULTIMATE POWER!!!! LOL Mackie has some nice stuff for sure. I just bought the DL1608 for when we need a P.A at a venue. Looks like it's gonna be perfect and A fair price for a digital mixer.
Man I feel like using battery powered and wireless gear just gives you unlimited power! The lack of tripping hazards is just something else, and the portability. Thanks for the review scott
Me and my band mate are kicking around starting a duo. Having this mixer would give us unlimited power! Great and honest video as always. Thanks Scott!!
I think it is worth mentioning that, both the Bluetooth channel and the 3,5mm TRRS channel have mix-minus built-in. For hybrid conference or online/Zoom meeting, this is very useful feature. You can easily connect phones via BT or TRRS jack, without peripherals usually needed for bring levels down to phone mic input.
These videos have been great as I've just started playing with a band and doing Open Mics and your information with IEM's wireless, etc has given me Unlimited Power with working with different hardware to suit my needs
Great Review, I’m glad there’s someone who you can trust to do reviews even though they’re sponsored by the company, thanks for always being honest in all the reviews you do and keep it up. I will say though having the power bank inside the unit instead of trailing next to it is useful just hope it had an inbuilt battery itself so you can charge it through the port on the outside, other than that it looks like a fantastic device and can help be a great compact option for musicians on the go, makes you feel like you have unlimited power being able to travel and play music to people around the world
I've actually been researching this mixer for ceremonies lately and was hoping that you'd do a review of it. Your channel has been a GREAT resource to get information on sound gear, so I appreciate the time and effort you've put into your reviews. "Unlimited power", indeed!
Been looking for a portable mixer like this. Thanks for the indepth and honest review, Scott. More power to you and unlimited power to your channel as well! ❤
I just got my Mackie Mobile Mix mixer and tested it out last night and currently. I discovered it works well if I run a GEQ off the main out puts. I remembered what u said about how sensitive the gain are.
The little battery powered mixers are pretty cool. Ive had to run mixers off of batttery power supplies in the past for wedding ceremonies. Much easier this way! Unlimited power!
Absolutely love this channel! The mixer is incredible, and I bet it would give me unlimited power to create the perfect sound. Keep up the amazing work, I can’t wait to see what’s next!
I am a sax player and I bought one of these 3 months ago. It has been meeting my needs perfectly for running sound tracks and my sax with a wireless mic. I don’t need much volume for the sax because my tenor sax has unlimited power. 😎 The only problem is that my 3 headphone outputs have failed and the mixer is in for repair right now. I hope they get it fixed and back to me as soon as possible because I really have been enjoying using it. Good review , by the way
Port 1 and 5/6 are not only inputs but outputs as well. I use them to create lossless audio by using the Blend knob to 1. I use it for my solo acoustic act and military ceremonies as well. I fully agree that it needs a mid range adjustment! Great review; you got my follow!
Awesome detailed review as always. I must agree not really for most musicians but great for small sets and outdoor acoustic sets, ceremonies, etc. I do hope still someday something will have unlimited power!😊
While this Mackie mixer may lack unlimited power, it would work well for my little at home setup. I have recently started considering adding a mixer to my setup to keep several things ready to go when inspiration hits. Cheers!
i like the idea of the detachable power bank! you can run sound with the USB power while simultaneously charging the bank elsewhere. that's unlimited power!
I’m intrigued with all the battery powered equipment available to musicians now, giving us Unlimited Power. I have a Pig Nose, Blackstar Fly3, Bose S1-pro and Fishman Loudbox Mini Charge, which I use on gigs and the little bit of busking I’ve done. Busking was the main reason I was wanting to go with rechargeable battery powered gear. I also use rechargeable wireless for guitar and microphone adapters since my units don’t have phantom power. The wireless mic adapter if the Kimafun with 48v. Have a great day, Scott.
Hey man, you actually were the winner! Thanks for following the channel. Check my post in my community tab and pinned comment to confirm, then respond to one of those comments… and then send me a message on my website or instagram (link in description), and I’ll get that to you. Remember, I’ll never ask you for money. Cheers!
I watched this because i have a pair of Mackie SRM V-Class 12" tops. Yes Scott great review totaly agree with Pros n Cons. But ulimited power can be got with using the Behringer Flow 8 it solves the problems, its the bomb using it as live solo performer, and recording at home studio. Cheers love all your reviews bud. The Singing Bassplayer from Bonny Scotland.
I've been looking into this one, as well as the Behringer Flow 8 which feels like a direct competitor of the Mackie one. Still not sure which one is better for my needs, but having any of the two will grant me unlimited power.
Keep it going, nice Scott! I really like when you view things in the POV of the small giggin musician. Heck you're the CEO of the entire thing on youtube, like Podcastage is to mics and Julian Krause is to audio interfaces! With gear from every budget, you fuel us to achieve our true potential, like Unlimited Power ! RIP Mace Windu!
as interested as I am for this mixer as a mobile dj + one-man-band, for something that's this small and portable, I'd dare to say the Behringer flow 8 is a better, more feature-rich option that is also capable of being powered by a power bank. of course that option lacks the compartment to hold an actual power bank, but honestly, worth the trade off imho.

I feel Unlimited Power with this unit to WOW! at my outdoor performances - I don’t always have a power outlet nearby.

Perfect rig for A/V applications. Because you know those outdoor wedding venues lack power. Now you have unlimited power!
Nice review and thanks for the honestly done with unlimited power.
Great review Scott! Would make a good backup mixer when you don't have Unlimited Power on a gig!
That is unlimited power to take on the road!

This could really have some unlimited power for my use case as I do some theater shows where I am using in-ear monitoring for myself.
Unlimited power... Wow!
