  • The fastest way to improve your "Bow" skill is to compete at "Chumps" at Ledetchko. This doesn't seem to be well known but it gives you around 50XP each time you compete, which is much higher than other archery competitions or even combat. It's also one of the easiest.
But not many seem to know about it so I put together a high scoring run with some tips and hints on how to get a good score without too much trouble.
"Kingdom Come:Deliverance" contains many hidden dialogue and secret options that you won't run into if you treat it as a straightforward game where you only follow quest directives. It pays to talk to everyone, pay attention fo passing conversations, and treat the world as a real entity rather than a collection of quests.
Be sure to take your time and pay attention!

    ========================================
What's a "let's roleplay"? A roleplay is an attempt to play the game from the character's perspective. Games often have limitations in how they can portray the world and how they allow players to interact with them. Doing a roleplay means taking actions in line with what that character would know, taking the world and story seriously, and interact with the world in ways that are consistent with it even if the game systems can't enforce that.

If you want to further understand archery and improve your aim watch
    Kingdom Come Deliverance: Archery Popshots.
The person actually explains how KCD has the most true to life archery. And how you can improve your aim just by instinct. I know it’s odd to be told to “shoot instinctively” but it works. I hit hares 1-3 arrows in now. I also only use Rivited, leather, and composite gauntlets now because they work the best when trying to aim. Obviously no gauntlets is best but I found these one’s actually allow me to line up my shots better.

I wanted to do the keg of wine quest quickly before going to sleep the other day, so I stuck a piece of paper to the middle of the screen and your aim just keeps moving side to side and if you keep waiting the same amount of time before each shot, they will land on the same vertical line. The horizontal point it hits seems to vary a little as well, but only slightly and it stays mostly consistent for every "session" when you equip your bow and shoot several times in a row.

also is easy to kill cow and sheep, they give less XP but they are like 4 cows and 8 sheeps in the same place, so it's like kill a boar :)
another tip is using the "dollmaker" potion, you think that use Bane is better but no, the Bane potion take a long time to kill someone, and you will need to shot him again to kill him anyway, the dollmaker make the enemy or animal unable to run, only walk, give a easy time to kill the enemy or kill like 5 in the same time, shot where they don't have any protection and now you are see 5 cumans trying to kill you, just walking, you know see 5 guys walking to you speaking Hungarian is kind scary, but more easy to headshot and survive then 5 of they running to you, also work in horses, don't shot your horse 0_0
also I know this is not a bow and arrow tip, but can be usefull if you plan to use only bow and have a low melee skill, do a UP STAB, the UP STAB is when you instead of UP SLASH, you STAB but "aiming" UP, this attack is impossible to master strick, so you can spam it without worry, they can execute perfect block but just that, if you don't trust me, try learn the master strike from Bernand and spam UP STAB, he will never block, also he is immortal when teaching you the master strike, got 17 levels of mace just like, also deal a lot of damage, I killed, KILLED a dude in full armor with just one hit, using the UP STAB

      Some really good comments!
Things like shooting cows is a bit too cheesy for me but I know it works so if someone is ok with that then they can definitely do it.

@@SequentialGamer_KCD it's because you actully need to make the arrow hit him, not like hit and then fall in the ground, some times againts armored enemies the arrow don't
penetrates the armor, try to fight with Black Peter in full armor, you gonna see some hits don't poison you, without armor 90% of the hits will, so just see if the arrow got stuck in the person or not, if you have a high bow skill and a stronger and better arrows this will not be a problem anymore, just charge well your bow and the poison gonna make effect, not just spam it.
About poison, the poison go in 5 bows each time you use a potion, I have 350+ poisoned arrows, and the effect of the poison don't go away, I don't know if the effect never go away or just take like shot 500 with the same arrow, but if you have poison and arrows, poison your arrow without fear
My own experience: 5 bandits, great loot, 3 tried to escape, walking, and the ones without fear, "got weak in the knee?"
Extra Tip: drinking water is the most usefull drink, it's cheap, 0 nourishment, why I'm saying that? Remembe when I said you poison 5 arrows for each poison? You "buff" 5 drink/food each time you use a potion, so with just 1 night vision potion, instead of buy more, just buy 5 driking water and now you have 5 night vision potions, work with every potion, just not the saver one, sad

Thanks Luis, appreciate it! The house rules I use are:
      - No training combat skills beyond 5 before defeating Runt, above 10 before Jezhek, and above 15 until the Monastery is done. Natural progression through combat allowed.
      - Wearable armour limited by Defence skill. Wearing armour in combat needs to be learned. General guidelines are: 0-5 only padded and cloth armour (excluding utility items like leather gloves), 5-10 leather and mail, 10-15 mail and brigandine, 15+ any armour including full plate.
      - Aim to wear suitable armour for the situation, e.g. full plate in set battles only, otherwise wear traveling armour.
      - Changing clothes and repairing take time so they can only be done at night.
      - All armour and clothing must be purchased to simulate that clothing isn't one size fits all. The exception is for items that only spawn on enemies, but they must be repaired at a shop initially.
      - No looting of armour for sale and no mounting horses when overloaded. Shops wouldn't buy clothes torn to rags.
      - Skills must be raised via a trainer at first, i.e. like how reading needs to learned. Exceptions are ones that you obviously don't need to learn, e.g. drinking. Reading is also a pre-requisite to Alchemy.
The only mods used remove the slow motion during combat and to slightly decrease masterstroke probability.

Thank you so much... 🙏 Your KCD videos are EXCELLENT. ✨🏆✨ I’m on my first play through of the game (I’m playing on Normal difficulty) & have just completed the assault on the Bandit Camp at Pribyslavitz. The only combat training I received from Captain Bernard was the compulsory first lesson that gets interrupted by Hans Capon, so it took me multiple attempts to defeat Runt in that solo Boss fight… 🥵 a duel that was made harder still by by the fact that I started it with only 25% health & multiple injuries sustained in the assault on the camp itself… 🩸🤕🤒
Interestingly, the assault on the camp failed at least once - even though my report to Sir Radzig of the estimated number of Bandits was the third most numerous of the four possible estimates. At one point in the battle, I thought that I had overestimated the number of bandits & that I’d get a reprimand from Sir Radzig or Lord Divish, for drawing too many troops away from their posts in order to attack the camp. But by the time the second wave of Bandits rallied after the Bandit area of the Camp itself was attacked, I realised that we were in trouble & - sure enough - too many of our troops were killed, so we lost. ☹️ That made me realise that I really had to deal with the troublesome Archers during the fight with the Cumans & - as my Bowmanship is still pretty crap (which is why I’m watching this video! 😉) I had to storm up the staircase & attack them hand to hand & - despite being pretty “hit & miss” at combat too, for lack of training, I managed to kill all 5 of them after several attempts, which made all the difference in winning the battle overall, but was also how I sustained 75% health damage & some crippling injuries. 🩸🤕🤒 I wish I’d watched your video about the assault on Pribyslavitz BEFORE taking on that challenge. 😂 I only managed to poison one of the pots & gave up on trying to destroy the arrows. The tip you shared on setting fire to the haystack would have proved very useful in the assault too… 😊👍
Anyway, this is a gem of a game, as you know… It can be incredibly frustrating & rewarding in equal measure. Definitely one of the very best true RPG’s out there, that rewards effort, persistence, lateral thinking & determination & punishes recklessness & lazy tactics (which is a result that emulates real life outcomes…). Watching a few of your videos has made me realise that the game possesses EVEN MORE subtlety & depth than I already realised, which makes me want to role play it even more & you have gained another grateful subscriber because of your extremely helpful & meticulously detailed & well explained videos. 🙏
If you happen to notice this comment & are able to respond to it, so long after this video was uploaded, would you mind answering one important question? I’m already regretting having got involved with the main plot, so soon after starting to play the game, as the uncomfortably fast pacing of it seems to propel Henry forward well before he’s adequately trained & equipped to handle some of the encounters. So I want to explore & complete some of the many side quests before proceeding any further with the main quest… The main quest now requires me to interrogate a Bandit prisoner who was captured in the Bandit raid on Merhojed that was supposedly repelled by the villagers, right after the assault on the Bandit Camp of Pribyslavitz. Do you know if interrogating that Bandit prisoner is a TIME SENSITIVE ⏰ quest… or can I now leave that aside until I want to continue with the main quest, & have Henry attend to numerous side quests & activities in the meantime, while also getting him suitably trained & experienced in combat & archery, & improving some of his much needed skills & core stats too?
If you can answer that query, I’d be very grateful, as I want to enjoy & experience everything that this very engrossing & subtle game has to offer & don’t want to mar that experience by advancing the main quest too quickly, if that can be avoided. (I also have all of the DLC’s downloaded, by the way, if that makes any difference). Either way, THANKS AGAIN for your excellent video content & your extremely comprehensive & thoughtful insights into this game. 😎🤝😊 Sincerely, LOUIS C.

    • @SequentialGamer_KCD
      @SequentialGamer_KCD  8 месяцев назад +1

Hi Louis, thanks for the kind words!
Re your question, the time sensitive aspect is to save the village and the bandit from the poisoning. The game will tell you to wait a day or so to see if the cure works. That's one of the points where I think it's story-friendly to go around doing side-quests & exploring .. I make some head canon about the cure needing to take about a week or so to take effect.
The other times are right after first waking up at the Mill, by putting off going to see Sir Radzig, after the battle for Prybizlavitz and Runt, because the county is now safe right?, and before entering the monastery.
It's been a while so there may be a few spots I missed, but they'll be in the videos. But don't worry too much, the timer tends to be within quests.
The game tends to push you in the dialogue towards doing the quests, but between quests it should mostly be alright to take a break. Basically I tended to do all the side quests that were available before going back to the main quests.
And yeah, if you're having trouble making money then this game is by far the easiest way to earn money. You'll want to do it for the archery skill anyway, but it also pays off well once you know how to beat it.
      Good luck and have fun!

@@SequentialGamer_KCD Thank you very much for taking the trouble to reply, SG. 🤝 I understand what you’re saying. However, although I visited Sir Radzig after the assault in Pribyslavitz & he told me to interrogate the prisoner captured at Merhojed, I haven’t actually travelled to Merhojed yet, so Henry is not aware of the “plague” & hasn’t therefore triggered any requirement to investigate it & find a possible “cure.” In my experience with quest related games… since Henry doesn’t know about the “plague” & hasn’t triggered that quest line - because he hasn’t visited Merhojed or interacted with any of its villagers - I’m hoping that, as far as the game & the main plot is concerned, the “plague issue” doesn’t yet exist & is - as far as the game programming code is concerned - lying dormant, waiting for Henry to trigger it when he eventually enters Merhojed & discovers it? 🤔
Similarly, the time sensitive urgency of interrogating the (sick) prisoner, doesn’t actually exist until Henry discovers both “the plague” & that the prisoner is also stricken with it? 🤔 Does that seem reasonable to you? (I’m not properly role playing the game as you were, so the obvious incongruity of pausing the far more important main quest while tracking down extravagant Wedding Gifts for Lady Stephanie’s Cousin’s Wedding 🙄 & other less important trivia, doesn’t bother me on this particular play through…) I just want to be sure that - if I pursue various unfulfilled side quests at this stage (having ACCEPTED the prisoner interrogation quest, but NOT acted upon it) that I won’t compromise or fail that part of the main quest, by any delay in attending to it at this stage.
If I’ve explained myself adequately, do you think I’d get away with not visiting Merhojed for the first time, for some time now, or would I have to go back to the game save where I wake up in Rattay, immediately after the successful assault on Pribyslavitz, in order to be sure? The reason I’m loathe to do that, is that - after I woke up there - I did A LOT of back & forth inventory hauling, selling, haggling & buying in Rattay, then SAFELY navigated a return to Pribyslavitz, where I lockpicked & looted all of the chests… all of which would be very time consuming & tedious to repeat, if I had to, & might not work out so well a second time around, particularly if that annoyingly dangerous & lethal gang of peasants outside of Pribyslavitz, managed to intercept me this time! 🤕☠️🪦
Hope that all makes sense SG, sorry for another “War & Peace” length comment (😂) & THANK YOU once again, if you’re able to clear up that query for me. 🙏 Best Wishes & Kind Regards ~ LOUIS 🙋🏻‍♂️

@@the5thmusketeer215 It looks like you're right after Prybislavitz right? Yeah, that's exactly the point at which I paused the main quest in my videos.
Unfortunately Radzig does tell you about Merhojed, which is what I was talking about the game pushing you along the main quest. If I was designing the game I'd have a point where the game just doesn't give you the next main quest for a few days or a week. That would make it clear, like in Morrowind, that you're free to explore. But as we see the game always gives you a main quest, which causes many people to rush through the game.
My own headcanon is pretty much the same as yours. The report of the bandit is nothing but a rumour that Henry will get to "at some point". Just make sure you don't go near the village at all, there's someone that will tell you about the plague at the nearby crossroads. Once you hear of it, then the timer is on IIRC.
There should be a number of new side quests that you can do while exploring. If you haven't already it's a good idea to learn to read before you go to Merhojed, it used to be the case that there was a workaround not being able to read but that got removed.
      Anyawy, have fun!
