  • This small inexpensive kamado style grill and smoker gets the job done every time!
    My first attempt at smoked ribs came out so well that my family requested a second batch this weekend! Even more amazing this time!

    Love it no talking. Just got one the bring to the cabin, have kamado joe classic in the city and said ya I ain't bringing that up north, did a cook in the city and love it. Put gaskets on both the base and ash tray and she is sealed up nice and tight. Flipped up the back seat of the truck and in she goes.

    I have the big version currently and have liked it. Just ordered the jr, looks perfect for small cooks.

      I've been using my jr. more than my gas Broil King, lately and love it! A bowl full of charcoal is good for a few cooks and nothing wasted! I was thinking of getting the larger version.

    Doesn't your temp drop to basically zero with the lid open that long?

    • @thecanadiangrill1715
      @thecanadiangrill1715  3 года назад

      Well I guess the air temperature would drop, just like any grill, but the difference here is the cast iron grate retains heat and the double-walled insulated body seems to hold heat as well. Once the lid is dropped and latched, it seals really well and temperatures bounce back almost instantly.

    Aside from your excessive rub and sauce they look great! I do salt and pepper then a light sauce 30 minutes before done.

    Did you have add coals any in that time period?

    • @thecanadiangrill1715
      @thecanadiangrill1715  4 года назад

      No coals added. Over 6 hours cooking low and slow. Heat deflector a must, though.
