Hi. The can was opened from the side (I made a hole there). But just these cans were inside. It was definitely something before, but then they used it like a trash can :((( So we found just old rusty trash in it. It was on the end of a really hard day so I wasn't really able to find a strength to pull it out. just to show the hole on the side I made with shovel.

it was somthing worse.
that, really looked like a cog/gear to me, like something out of a hand crank tool or piece of machinery. it had what looked like teeth along the outside ridge. looks almost identical to the gear inside an antique crank-grinder i refurbished. i wonder how well that gear cleaned up.

Here recently I have been watching all of your videos like a madman. My new job requires me to sit for long periods of time in a room, and luckily I have access to the internet. When I watched this video I was in aw how you found this, but at the end of the video I was semi disapointed that we did not see the contents inside of that canister. Did you ever figure out what was inside? Please If you could tell me I would be seriously interested.

+Bruce Berck hi Bruce seriously we found inside only food cans. We make hole from site in big can and pull out stupid food cabs we dig it 3h for food cans 😂 i dont understand why they buried if that was a field kitchen or what no idea. We think about this video long time if we should to upload because people like only good finds but also this os digging not every time we find good stuff. For example i can tell you i dig 17 years on battlefields and i found lots of good stuff but also tons of crap. And i will be open to you Bruce i never give up 17 years. But now i am realy sad from lots of comments from young people. They thing we dig here tons of guns medals etc. Searching on battlefields is realy dangerous we found lots of live grenades and bombs thats scary. I am so happy to be here and say it. Lots of diggers pay with live for good finds. Thats thru. And if someone leave comment where say i am idiot and i use clickbaits i dont care because i do it for other reason not for likes and money because from videos i have no money. I make it for people they still missing granddad. Thats my mission. MF1945

Look at the "The course of oak island" TV show! 6 seasons about 9 parts 45 min. long, and they found BULS*T! and nobody is bitching. Ewerybody just watching that crap. 45 minutes of nothing, bager riding around, faces full of "what if" talk, bulsh*ting about rifle casing found in mud, and talk talk talk about "we need to find something" bulsh*t.
All respect to that show, but this guys like Militaryfinder1945 and all metal detectorists are much more treasure hunters and much more entertainment. At least they always find something nice.

You lost few second of life. We lost 20 minutes with digging. Metal detecting is not just about "walking in the summer park finding gold nuggets". You can watch our other videos - lot of real guns, silver coins, grenades, medals... ;)

hmm if it was sent out for men encircled I can see food and ammo being in these containers. surprising that they would of left food though considering how starved many of the germans and russians were.
