Sadly most likely not much or it’s flooded over the years. They were pretty much emptied out or sealed up after the war it literally would have been one locals and allied forces didn’t know about.
You have a underwater ROV but it would be nice if you could get a all terrain ROV to explore these closed bunkers that have small openings. I wonder if the grandson has ever thought of opening the bunker? I love your knack for finding all these buried trenches and installations. You’ve done a lot of studying and research to know what to look for. Nice location with a great view.
Hi ww2Historyhunter. My name Robert and would like to say I'm a big fan and follower from new Zealand. Like to say a big thank you to you and your family for the lovely videos you bring to us to enjoy. Thank you.
I spent 3 yrs. In Nurnberg in the 80s. In the army. Stationed in Furth. If only I understood the relics buried all around me. But thanks for showing all the cool stuff. Maby sometime I will make it back to your great country.
An absolutely great video still in the Atlantic wall theme. I sense that this may turn into an exciting find my friends. Your daughter has the drive and curiosity to delve into these finds exploring beyond comprehension. I hope both of you good luck and good hunting. Be safe and well both of you.
It's all on top. We're still on the grassy field. What is more exciting is when start seeing what is inside. Maybe next episode would bring us into it..
@ 7:13 just to the right of the bunker air shaft opening there is a big X on the boulder and hell it's even lit up! You know what they say....... X MARKS THE SPOT! 👌👍
11:34 I can guarantee is part of a German truck. Frame reminds me a lot of part of those opel blitzs that were halftracks. But it's definitely from a German truck. Very cool.
I love your videos! My mom was born in Berlin in 1937 and lived through the war. I remember her telling that there was a bunker in Berlin that was built, that the Russians couldn't destroy, so they just covered it over and built a park over it. On a side note my Opa was 3./Flak.Ers.Abt.26, Flak-Regiment 59, he made it through the war.
Not that I've ever been to Berlin, but I've heard tell of a park with a fair sized hill in it. If this is the place, then what I've read in a few spots, this might be a flak tower. My understanding is effectively a multi story structure built for AAA purposes.
Oooohh, that closed bunker makes my imagination itch!😁 I do hope your shoulder (and your ass!) is okay! Another beautiful fortification position. Thanks to Team WW2HH for another awesome adventure!😊
Way cool! Keep up the terrific adventures and Education. Love your Journeys into the past. It wasn't so long ago, and you keep the Memories alive. Peace
Just finished a rough shift in the ER, so this is exactly what I needed. Extremely exciting find. Just think if you were able to round up all your loyal supporters and subscribers, we could make quick access to that bunker in no time. Can't even begin to imagine what treasures we would find. Germany is so beautiful. Hopefully, I get to visit again soon. And yes I hope that your shoulder and gluteus maximus aren't too painful. Thanks again for sharing HH and looking forward to many, many more. 😊 p.s. You have quite the little helper there.
Another comprehensive report with the necessary information, great. Nice to see that your daughter is also interested. Can imagine the fall was painful.
Hi history hunter. Love your videos. Have you ever tried the metal detector in this location. 👍👍👍👍💜💜💜the ventilation piece bunker buster girl found, I thought was a helmet at first 😂😂
Ahhhhh. Now my week is complete. Thursday afternoon here in Oz, works done for the day, and a fantastic HH video to watch. Thank you, what terrific little forgooten location. Please, please, tell us that your next "little project" is getting approval to open up that bunker. That would be the most amazing thing ever. Here's hoping! :) :) :)
Fascinating stuff. There are bits of architecture like this all over the world to remind us all of things past. To see inside will be a bonus. Sincerely hope you do not find any live munitions that put you in danger. I can honestly say this is much more interesting than any boring old dusty history lessons we had at school.
As a long time history buff focused on WW2 and other wars as well, I’ve often wondered what the gun emplacements and bunkers looked like and your videos so far are the only way most of us will ever get to see them. I can almost hear the sounds and feel the anticipation that some may have felt in that place in person. It makes me embarrassed to acknowledge that I’ve not visited nor searched for some of the known history of my locality and have yet to plan an outing. It’s easier to view your videos of history I’ve read about than to do the same here. - I’m gonna go search something out while I still can.
Hello I enjoy your channel and that you do it as a family, at 12:35 the entrance to the cave, is that a mesh for camouflage? Hope your shoulder is ok, take care..
Thanks for that wonderful video. I would stay there for a week to make sure I found everything. I bet there are bunkers that you didn't find. I wonder how many bunkers are still undiscovered? I'm sure you have a good idea. Happy history hunting.
You might not need to dig out the bunker to see it. If you can rent a long Endoscopic camera, you could snake it down that ventilation shaft and see if you can get to the interior. It might be a lot less risky, and you'd be safer than risking going into the bunker directly.
Definitely would like to see more bunkers being opened if the new owner will allow them to be explored. Trenches are cool, bunkers better. Otherwise love your videos, great history lessons every time.
I appreciate the work that your doing keeping history alive , as well as bringing us inside bunkers in which I would Never get a chance to experience here in "Merica" (America 4 those that don't know 🤦♂️) I love history ! Thank you 👍
You would need a jack hammer to get in there. I was stationed at Zweibrucken Air Base Germany. The base was built literary on the West Wall. The bunkers were at the entrance to the base. I tried like hell to get in there, but unfortunately it was impossible. Not to mention the Polizei didn’t want you in there.
I thank you for all your time and effort put into your videos means a lot to me and my family really appreciate it so thank you once again also if you ever come across a German Helmet in good condition would love to have one and pass it down to the family if it is not to much of a bother thank you once again though for taking your time to read this
Thanks, it would be interesting to see what's inside a bunker buried since 1946.👍
Some at roadside access level remain full of unexploded, semi ignited and blown full variety of munitions, really.
