Hi Tom. Love this old classic and your cover is brilliant. Perfectly played and sounds fantastic 👏👌💯🎵🎶🎸. Enjoyed listening and 👍117. Best wishes from Norway. All the best Olav
Thank you very much for your comment Olav, glad that you like it. There will be come more videos next time, hope you like it also. Your videos are also fantastic and sounds pretty good. All the best, Tom
I use a fender olympic white with pearl scratchplate (fitted myself) 70s anniversary strat replaced original pickups with kinmans hank marvins hm-v 60s pickups, removed the original .22 capacitor and put in a .33 capacitor which takes a touch off that horrible tinny sound off the top and makes a touch warmer..to be honest if you want a tinny sound you can do that with an amp. I use a fender modelling amp and download pre loaded sounds to it and use the one closest to hanks and it works a treat. No messing around with knobs all the time going from sound to sound and no pedals as they are loaded. download the ones you want and save them. Or just buy a modelling amp. and find the sound you want. I just wanted mine as close to his as i could get it. I also replaced all the plastic wiring with cloth wiring like the 50s and 60s strats.
Thank you for your comment. The reverb comes from the Yamaha Magicstomp. With the EFTP Patch, you will have all Shadows presets on this device. It brings you reverb, delay, tremolo and the authentic tape echo sound. Sometime I use a extern reverb "Surfy Bear" additional to the MS. All the best, Tom
Hi Mr. Parsons, I'm new guitar player and your videos inspire me tremendously to keep on improving! I have one question if you may, regard the tremolo, my guitar has a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge and it seems like it's nearly impossible to keep playing while having the whammy bar in hand like you do, the pitch changes just way too easily! Is this a skill issue or more to do with the nature of the Floyd Rose bridge? I've tried playing my sibling's guitar with a Wilkinson VS 50IIK bridge and it doesn't suffer those issue, I can play freely with the whammy in my hand and it doesn't change pitch unless I actually put some force to push it.
Hey, thank you for your comment and watching my lessons. I actually had the same problem with this guitar. But I was able to fix it and perfect it for myself by removing a spring. There are usually five springs in the back of a Fender Strat, but they are far too hard. Three feathers were too soft for me and four are perfect for me. Maybe you can get it under control this way. You can also set the tremolo to be suspended or floating. With a floating setting, the danger is of course greater and a clean playing technique is an advantage. Hope I could help you. All the best, Tom
@@heliojunior9647 The Hank Marvin version is similar but in different key. There are some videos in YT from other users. This is the Cliff Richard Main Version, will probably be the only one of this version on YT. 🎸

@@tomparsons7 Yes you absolutely helped, thank you Mr. Parsons. I will put your advice to good practice.
Could you play that song absolutely by mark hankin?
mark hankin? I don't know him. What do you mean?
@@tomparsons7 I'm sorry, it would be a Hank Marvin song
