    • @theyumblat5420
      @theyumblat5420 Год назад +37

      Ay as long as the spider isn’t on your bed, consider it out of sight out of mind. A spider in your room will keep out bugs/insects, and they’ll give you your space. They don’t tend to have good eyesight so they might get close to you sometimes on accident, but once they realize they’ll most likely turn and run away. Spider friends are nice :)

    As an arachnophobe, the Huntsman was one of the first kinds of spider I became okay with, because apparently despite being known to be so fast they "teleport", they're apparently incredibly chill, or at least so timid they will flee before becoming aggressive.

      I mean most spiders kinda flee before they become aggressive, especially when they don't have venom. spiders are creepy don't like em at all, I would never have them as a pet. But knowing that huntsmen and camel spiders exist I feel prepared to live around them. The most daunting part about this is why does Australia have such a strange and deadly biome I mean every time I think of the platypus and what it represents I get a headache. A duck billed, web footed, semi aquatic mammal, that not only lays eggs, and produces milk, but is also venomous? It doesn't make any damn sense. It wouldn't be as bad if there were other presidents for two or more of those traits, but there are none. The platypus is seemingly an avian, mammal, reptile, that's cuter than God's tits and I can't deal with it being a real creature from this planet.

    As an Aussie, I’m pretty sure that’s a huntsman spider, they are *not* dangerous and don’t jump unless they feel threatened or cornered. They sometimes come into Australian homes bc of warm weather or when it rains. They are usually on walls / ceilings and I had one in my classroom once 😂, if that’s not a huntsman, I don’t know😅

      U sort of characterize it as an animal at this point. I know it sounds weird but pests don’t feel like animals, and there’s an element here where it’s a totally self sufficient creature that has absolutely no reason to interact with a human, it’s the false idea that it’s competing for living space that I think is disturbing people and making them feel threatened. It definitely is self sufficient and it’s too different from mammals to clash we are on sort of different wavelengths

    We have Hunstmen spiders in Florida, too..... My mom was most unfortunate to encounter one in the middle of the night coming out from under the AC wall unit when she was younger and living with her parents... She tells the story to this day. She said it was as big as a toddler just crawling on the floor. But as soon as you made noise or turned on a light, he'd go right back up in that wall unit and disappear. Her family never believed her, never saw anything when they looked, night after night she watched this thing... Until she finally convinced them to stay up and just wait with her and booooyyyyyy was that all they needed. Moved the next day, I think.

      In sure the aboriginal people would love that idea. You should present it to the government and see if they agree

      No, we need people to ensure the insects don't advance technologically and make boelats and planes

    The first thing to do if you move to Australia is not buying a house. Its buying a flamethrower

      @@WhoIsMalenaaNah it’s fine to go to Australia, I’ve never found Huntsman Spiders that are bigger than my hand, and besides, they are very useful to keep around as they will go off and kill every insect and Spider in the house. So the Huntsman’s kill everything, they kill each other and now you have a house free of pests
