Love that bike, thinking of trading in my Yamaha for that...but everyone scares the crap out of me, reliability issues, parts take forever, and all that staff... especially in couple of years after the warranty expires....
Yes, I understand where you’re coming from when you talk about reliability. I have a little over 1000 miles on the bike right now. No concerning issues at all. But it is a 2024. A lot of those reliability issues were on earlier models. I’ll have to wait and see what happens a year or two from now. But if I had to do it all over again I would probably wait for the Yamaha R9 before I made my final decision on the RS 660. TFTC!!✌🏾
Gary I am about to pull the trigger on a 24' rs660 EXTREMA. My only concern is the sound of the exhaust. The whole point of owning an rs660 is the soundtrack, so how hard is it to de-cat AND baffle remove that factory SC Project? I am worried I will be stuck with a weak sounding bike despite paying extra for the SC Project. Any thoughts? Thanks!
Don’t do it!! The exhaust sounds weak. Get the regular RS 660. And upgrade the exhaust and get a up map tune. It will cost about $2000. Unless you just have to have the Extrema. I’ve got a video coming to explain it more in detail.✌🏾
No,no big differences basically the same bike. The fairings, carbon fiber front fender and belly pan,full SC project exhaust and able to switch between standard and GP shift.TFTC!!✌🏾

@@Sytyvette1do you think the R9 would sit more aggressive than this? Rider triangle wise?
I’m 5’7 short lol. I tip toe on the Tuono660 & on the RS660.
@Jaejits You might be right. We will see when it releases in the US. 👍🏾
@Jaejits I don’t know. I have seen the R9 in person yet. 👍🏾

How does the bike feel after the first service?
Wow! The bike feels great. More power better up shift and down shifting. Also finding neutral is much easier now. TFTC!✌🏾
@@Sytyvette1 I recently got mine and I'm only at 200km/124miles. I'm excited for my first service
Besides the different fairings and the sc exhaust, is there anything different between the extrema and the regular rs versions?

@@Sytyvette1 cool! Will you be replacing the mirrors on your extrema or what are your plans for your bike?
@airmartin171 Add some more dry carbon bits. Full SC Project exhaust. Stage 2 up map. Smoked windscreen. GB racing covers….
@@airmartin171 I’m going to leave the mirrors alone. I like them.
