This game was easier than Bart vs the Space Mutants though. 6HP instead of 2HP, shorter levels, Bart can actually attack, and there's no time limit. If you don't practice Springfield Museum in the first game, that initial glitched timer of 290 will always cost you a life.
Mastery your run. Well done! My brother and I used to play this one on the platform NES and this is probably the single hardest game he ever beat on the NES. To this day I am dumbfounded as to how he did it. I use emulator and save multiple times per level and this game is still very tough especially after world 1. The first level in world 2 is crazy. How they expect you to understand the weird physics of this game and hit those inflated bubbles just right simply isnt fair. I've played 50 or so games on NES; this is one of the hardest. You schooled this game. Rather satisfying to see.

Because it made sense given that he was the most relatable. Like maybe the series would get to the roots of his mischief. Homer was sane and competent before becoming what he is now. Bart's catchphrases especially were the most quoted by everyone.

I could beat the game when I was like probably 9 or 10, although just the normal ending. It's was incredibly hard. I once unblocked Hollywood Soundstage 3, but I didn't know how I did it, and couldn't beat it. I tried again after 25+ years and could get the good ending in about 10 attempts. It's not as hard as I thought when I was a kid (obviously). But I didn't know there's a higher jump after a first jump, I went through the full crypt part of Hollywood Soundstage 2.

NES game designers were down right sadistic. It is ludicrous to expect a little kid to be able to beat this game.

Programming isometric hitboxes on an NES is NOT easy. This game does it fine, but it's still flawed.
