Thanks for the help my buddy and I installed my sub today. We grounded the amp to a screw spot right below the back left side of the carpet in the trunk, it was super convenient. Had to sand with paper first
We fuse tapped just like you but can't figure out how to turn the AMP off. Is your remote turn on wire connected from only your Fuse tap to the LOC? Or is it connected to just the AMP from the Fuse tap
Where is the small blue wire from the fuse box beneath the steering wheel lead too on the converter exactly? I’m not using the same model converter, I’m using a PAC SNI-35
Im trying to replicate what you did in my. K5 i have the 2 evl 12 sub with the amp rp 2000 1.d package do i need to put a cap or extra bat for that i bought everything in the vid
I’m about to be doing all this to my 23 k5 soon and the question I have is that by tapping into the LR speaker wire will it make the sub quieter? because the rear factory speakers are not really loud at all and is there a way to make the rear speakers louder at all? I’m doing all new door speakers and 2 12s in the car
I got 2 subs to connect. Can I just use the one side speaker wire and connect the wires for both subs ? Or I need to bring speaker wire from both speakers left and right?
Because he had you tap into the power out in the fuse box. I did this and my computer screen and Amp stays on. I reran the remote wire back under the hood and tapped into my fuel pump fuse, works great now, everything shuts off like it's supposed to. Make sure your power wire is connected to the bolt/nut at the very front of the positive block on the battery, he points this out in video. Hope not too late, just finished mine today.
One thing I would never do is cut the wire in half on the power side just because now you are compromising The wire and getting half the power so essentially you just turned your 4 gauge power wire into a 8 gauge also when it comes to running rounds you always want to drill a hole and nut and bolt it making sure that the area that it is being grounded to is clean
line output converters are known for bad audio quality, use an amp that has high level inputs and then you don’t need a LOC. your door speaker wire then would go directly to the amp input
I used the same LOC he's using and it sounds great. Just make sure to not run your RCAs along side the power cable otherwise it will draw signal and there will be an annoying electrical hum coming through. And also make sure your grounds are good cause that will cause the same issue. Being able to get a working remote wire just using speaker wires is especially convenient too lol
Man, I followed your advice and it bit me in the ass when the hell ever is a black wire a positive and a yellow and negative bro you got the to Pollarity Backwards
@@djdrummerdaviddee2121 left rear speaker the black is positive and the yellow wire is negative. The center speaker channel speaker the yellow is positive and the black is nagative

I have the Bose system with the factory sub in rear decklid. Couldn’t I just tap into that with the loc rather than the black and yellow on the side?
@@zay7320 yes you could its the same wire just easier when i ran the wire from the battery
Good to see a fellow Khmer to work on a K5 too🔥🇰🇭
I have the 21 K5GT line. And the stereo is pretty terrible in it. Might have to do this.
Got a 21 Ex, and I’m thinking the same

Wow
Beautiful uploading nice video super God Bless u thanks for sharing
Where exactly did you make the ground?
If you use the wire from the rear speaker will that speaker therefore be disabled?
No
Great install and sharing my friend 👍 Good luck 👍
Did you upgrade the electrical in the car extra battery?
@@suzuki400sm i didnt
Are you just take remote wire from the battery??
no

Caps dont work the best thing to do is to upgrade the battery under your hood to a agm or something stronger and you can also do a bigger alternator
I'm getting a thumping feedback. Any idea where that is coming from? Same install. Same vehicle
Loc brand?
Hi, could you tell me what color are the speaker wires on the other side?
Lr= black+ and yellow -.
Rr= green+ and Orange -
@@khmerohio thank you very much

No just make sure the fade setting is at zero
Are the wires that are taped I. To the car speakers supposed to be hot?
No, it's the + and - speaker for the line out converter
@@khmerohio ok… for some reason the it has power and is keeping the converter on
Then your coverter could be bad. Sometimes, it will shut-off after 2 minutes

Just the one side
if you're listening to a stereo signal you will want left and right side inputs. Otherwise you miss half the music.
For the keyloc2 remote if my amp doesn’t have another remote area to put it in, can I just fit it with the original remote that I ram to the fuse box?
Yes you can
great video and install
Why is my amp and loc staying on? Same car same materials used

What gauge are the T-taps?
The red is 14-18 the blue 10-12

Thanks for the input 👍
I believe he just made the wire thinner for the pull rig. I’m sure he made a clean cut thereafter for any power connections.
How did you run the rca’s to the stereo?
That’s where he spliced into yellow and black wires
Quick question i put the remote wire from the kicker and other remote on the same remote on amp?
Are you using kisloc2?
@@khmerohio yes my amp only has one remote skar amp

A 10farad capacitor is good enough for it
@@khmerohio thank you i subscribed to the channel and one last question where did you put the ground at
I can’t get it thru the firewall help
Firewall rubber boot is the best place, but be careful with those wire
Pull the battery, its not hard at all, heavy but not hard. Then you have all the access you need

So why didn’t you get audio signal on the right side as well. If there’s a bass beat on the right side it will never be heard/ felt .
He did, by combining both channels on the loc.
Any car that is equipped with an amplifier you're supposed to run the signal off the sub wire or you will get voice coming out your sub
If it’s a Mono amp with a LPF it doesn’t matter what channel you tap.
can we see in more detail how you ran the wire through the firewall
