  • Check out this video where I sharpen my Twosun TS264 using my Shapton 1K and Sharpton 2K stones. For the finishing, I moved on to my Spyderco ceramic with the fine side and then to my Ultrafine side. The Spyderco ceramic gave a nice reflection on the edge. The Fine side is rated at 6micron (approx. 2.5 to 3k grit) and the Ultrafine is at 3 micron. Do you want to know how to turn your Spyderco Fine stone into an Ultra Fine stone (link below)? Check it out and enjoy!

Did you notice any difference in edge retention in m390 when you use aluminum oxide stones like shapton vs the diamond stones like venev?

Didnt notice much difference in edge retention( normal usage)..both alox and Venev..it is because the steel doesn't have that much vanadium carbide in it..if the steel is at high hardness probably using diamond is suitable as to not challenge the apex formation
