Well i hand ported my heads. Left the intake side at 100 grit and mirror polished the exhaust side. Mostly grinded out casting flash ,knife edging and pocket port. Head got bigger cams, brass valve guides, +1mm ferrea valves. valves, gsc lifters. For an all-motor 6g72. Took about 15-20 hours to port those heads. I would call them a stage3 port job. but everyone "stages" heads differently lol. Its such an odd-ball build most tuners are like oh no no no we aint touching that. So left to tuning it myself also lol.

    can i ask you?
my 1000hp street car cam choice. 1000cc bike embarrassment use only
    rb29 (stroker)
    e85
    manual
    4” turbo back ex
    made 1000whp before on 41psi
i decided too cnc port and now cam choice-either (purchase) 272 or 288/288 (already have these), OS valves all round. light valve-train
    power band from 5-10k😊
i listen too you and think maybe the 272’s aren’t using all the ports capabilities
i ran the 288 before and frankly liked them

Yeah, not grinding all the way through to an oil gallery or the water jacket would be a great start.

Really good information! Will you be offering the ported cylinder head for sale? Along with which cams and valves will work best 👍👍
