A woman covers herself in obedience to Allah for the sake of her own dignity and pride. She feels pity for Western women who are displayed as objects of desires.
Viewing hijab from the outside, one can never perceive what is observed from within it. We see the matter from two completely different perspectives. To a non-Muslim, Islam looks like a prison with no liberty or freedom. But living within Islam, we feel a peace, freedom and joy which is known in no other way. One might claim that a person born to Islam believes it is best only because it is a way of life with which he has always been acquainted-that he grew up without experiencing the outside world. But I am a convert I abandoned the so-called freedom and pleasure of modern life and chose Islam. If it is true that Islam is a religion which oppresses women, why are so many women in Europe, America, Japan and elsewhere embracing Islam today? If only people would reflect upon this.
A person blinded by prejudice may not be able to see the beauty of a woman in hijab- a woman who is self-confident, peaceful and dignified- not a shade or trace of oppression upon her face. The Quran describes those who deny the signs of Allah as being blind. How else can we explain the disbeliever's lack of understanding towards Islam?

i had a teacher that wore niqab, even her hands were covered by gloves, that was in the first years of elementary school. i still remember her until this day because she was the nicest teacher I've ever met and i don't even know her face. many of my teachers are long forgotten not even their names i can remember. actually, most of my elementary school days are almost already forgotten but she will stay in my heart forever and I'll keep praying to Allah to give her all the best in this life and the next one

@Skye Blue That's not disturbing, or sad. To wear niqab is a permissible to Muslim. Therefore it isn't mandatory, but it is a form of modesty in Islam (as it is to wear hijab, and to wear clothing to cover oneself. Muslim men and women wear clothing that cover themselves, as it is a form of modesty and it is believed that they will be rewarded for their good deeds, therefore acts of modesty are done for a reason) and is considered a good deed.
I had a Muslim tuition teacher who wears niqab and, masha allah, she's a great teacher! She taught me that its okay to make mistakes, 'cause if I do, she can point out those mistakes and help me out with studies. And she teaches ONLY girls at her home, so she does show her face, as she is with her family and teaches students who are only girls (without covering her face).
There's a Muslim math teacher who wore niqab that taught us math for a while (she was a student-teacher) and she's surprisingly good at teaching us maths! She wore niqab in class (obviously) because she was in a class where there were boys and girls, and niqabi/hijabi women cover themselves in public.
Think of it this way. Muslims cover up (both men and women) because that is what they believe. It is our belief that dressing well, neatly and modestly is what pleases our maker, and it is our choice to actually go ahead and commit to this. It is encouraged to wear modest clothing in Islam, not forced. If people force others to wear modest clothing, then that is not what is encouraged in Islam. It is up to the person to choose to do what Islam encourages Muslims to do, be it mandatory or sunnah.
These two teachers were both nice, by the way.
And my cousin said that most niqabi teachers are AMAZING teachers. And so far, in my experience as a student, most niqabi teachers are pretty great at being good teachers.
Skye, I don’t understand why we use calls, zooms without camera nowdays for schools and all the academics and kids if the communication can’t happen without body language and facial expression as you implied. Who said communication is all about facial and body language? Niqab women can still use body language so does that mean a pass to you or they still have to pass facial expression to be recognized as human who can communicate? Stop hating Islam based on your emotional feelings. At least admit you need to hear from others before judging Muslim’s faith (I like understand why people do things before I have a saying in their matter). I don’t just shout ears of Christian just because of them being different from my faith. Respect yourself and humanity and understand that diversity is not a weakness but beauty of human capability to accept and tolerate those who are not same as they are. This is so tiring to me. I face it everyday. I code in my spare time and every platform I go on social media to talk about my projects, I get similar reception “Oh u r a Muslim woman who can code? No that cannot be right. It doesn’t fit our narrative” It has begun to give me a headache tbh.

Assalamualaikum! The biggest mistake that parents do is to force their children either man or woman to marry anybody they want and not who their children want! And our beloved prophet (saw) discouraged this! According to our prophet (saw) a forced marriage is not a valid one! Because of forced marriages children are leaving their faith (audhu billah) )and go closer to zina! May Allah protect us! We should let our children to marry the man or the woman they love as long as she or he is good muslim and she he has got good character and modesty! Colour and nationality dont matter! What matters is imaan character and modesty! In this case we should let our children to marry anybody they want! Personally i will never force my children to marry somebody they dont want to! And Allah knows best!

@@MrWatchmen759 salam alaykoom giving the world that we are living in today parents should relax on this topic even if your son or daughter ended up in a bad marriage they can still divorce and start over with someone else, parents should be more supportive and trust their children obviously what they think matters and we should listen to them but it is just reality that many people involve themselves emotionally even before marriage by stopping them from living their relationship the parents open the door for zina or the child might actually marry the partner the parents chose and is unable to connect with that other person hence end up miserable, the problem is on both sides but an halal mistake is always better than haram.

Growing up, there was this children’s show about these teens going to an boarding house thing and this one, single Moroccan character housed his cousin ‘Mohammed’, nicknamed ‘Mo’. Another time, the Moroccan character’s uncle, Ibrahim comes to visit, straight out of Morocco. He wears a cream coloured kaftan and has a psychic goat. He was able to stay there, and the other tenants invite him to stay in the house but refuses, and instead goes to live in their garden, sleeping in a tent with his goat and making small fires for heat instead of going inside with central heating because In MoRroCcO, hE lIVed iN tHe mOUnTAIns... He and the housekeeper then fall in love and get married, just an opportunity for the show to have a Moroccan wedding and have all the non western characters wear random kaftans, henna and bejewelled notering and big earrings (No problem with them wearing it but just cringy that it was just used as plotdevice so that the characters could wear ‘eCoTIx’ sparkly things..) He and the housekeeper and his goat then move to Morroco.

Like if you're a man, you work all day long to bring food to your family, but your wife complains that you're not at home and next thing you know she's cheating on you while you were faithful and only worked hard to earn enough money for your family, then what you see are the divorce papers which will take away half of everything you have, your home and the kids and you're left broken. Those type of women do belong in hell. Don't get me wrong there are some exceptions when both partners are faithful and they have a happy life together but those women betray their husband's trust and leave them broken like that are really the worst kind.

Finally! There is a muslim woman who exactly talk about this. I really appreciate this. I am a muslim woman and I'm tired enough when i had to face a lot of muslim women who said Islam is not enough to protect women's right.
Exactly, they maybe face a lot of bad things in life. I understand them. But yet, my heart broken when heard that such propaganda that show women are being oppressed by Islam and a lot of muslim women agreed with propaganda.
This is first time I watch islamic videos so women rise up to defend Islam and keep loving our Eeman in heart. Not force women to keep asking about the 'logical' of Islam, existence of Allah and etc.

Another wrong stereotype is that women are forced to marry whoever their parent chooses. Nope definitely wrong, Prophet Muhammad says that a parent CANNOT force their child, its the child's right. They can choose whoever they want to marry as long as he is still a muslim.

Dude, just because you weren't oppressed does not mean that muslim women are not oppressed and I'm sure you know that. I was raised in a muslim family, and although I was not tortured, I had a lot of restrcitions on my personal freedom (way more than my brothers) and at some point I was forced to wear the hijab. One of my friends could not even receive phone calls. These things happen and I'm sure you know that, but you're too much of a coward to admit that before non-muslims.

Yes in some CULTURES people are pretty extreme but again, that is how exclusively those people are. Study Islam and you will see how Allah thinks of it's followers. @@syedanoorulhudarizvi6387 Yes, I'm serious. There are many hypocrites out there who deny that muslim women are oppressed. I believe you when you say that you chose to wear the hijab. I believe you when you say you are not oppressed. I had friends who chose to wear it. My own mom chose to wear it, but there are many girls who are forced to do it, especially in countries where the Shariah law is enforced like Iran and this is wrong on many levels. You are allowed by shariah law to impose the hijab on all girls growing up in a muslim family. And I'm using the term growing up in a muslim family instead of muslim children because at the age of 8,9 or 10, you are too young to have a reasoned opinion of your own on religion.
Sorry I'm not usually rude, but I'm just sick of all those hypocrites who pretend that these things don't exist.
And yes, I was born in a 3rd world country where islam is not even the religion of the majority, but these things do not exist only in my country or in countries like Iran. I have relatives in Canada who do not send their kids to school but do 'homeschooling' instead because they don't want formal education to drag their child away from islam, and they end up with children who are late academically compared to other children and who lack social and critical thinking skills. I understand that these things happen in other religions as well, but it's still sickening that people are too delusioned or hypocritical to admit that it happens in our own islamic religion as well. I'm saying this because I was a hypocrite once as well. I'm not saying you are a hypocrite. You might just be ignorant, and I give you the benefit of the doubt.
@@nuzhahtarsoo818 I do agree that a number of Muslim women are being opressed, but here's the thing I don't think Islam is the source of the oppression, humans use anything to justify their mistakes, sometimes they use religion , yes Islam does treat men and women differently cuz they are different, but never does it treat them unjustly, take lady Aisha as an example she was an outspoken brave and bright woman she even led an army once, but Islam never condemned her, yet some Muslims did they even accused her of adultery, the problem is within the people not the message, I hope we agree on this

The canadian film, Sabah A Love Story is a good example of this trope. I remember watching this before becoming Muslim and cheering for the main character, Sabah. Now, I can't believe how awful and harmful these kinds of portrayals are for Muslim women.

As a Muslim woman I saved myself in my teenage years by putting on the hijab and caring more about my deen. Before that I had depression and an eating disorder coz of beauty standards so if people need an example of how it works in reverse of what Hollywood portrays here I am 💯💯💯

I'm a Muslim and apply my deen everyday. Women needs to cover. For obvious reasons and a decree by Allah. But I'm against niquab. Our prophet talked about hijab but never mentioned the niquab as mandatory. Great video by the way
