Just picked up a 94 that is bone stock
I got a 84 in building rn definetly gonna make it a bober
Shit, you’re from VT too?
Yup. Trading my blast for one tomorrow.
I just got me a 1994 honda magna same as this one, I'm getting the bike to look just like yours, beautiful bike.
thanks! I'm glad my work inspired you to make it your own!
I also just got a 94 Magna, I think I'll do the same 😂
Nice build. I just bought a 1998 last weekend, and you've given me lots of ideas.
Awesome! First think to try is bars
Just picked up an 85 magna, can’t wait to do something similar your bike looks AWESOME
That's awesome man! I've only ridden those older models.
You'll want to explore eats to swap the exhaust and get creative with the rest as your bike and mine have some chassis differences. The engines are nearly identical though! Enjoy it man!
just found my 97!!!!!!! You executed what ive had in my mind for 2 years.
Hey that's awesome! You're in the position I was in when I got mine except I was looking for how too's and inspiration and none existed. So this channel is my gift to these bikes! Feel free to look around and ask any questions if I haven't covered it already.
Good luck on your build!
Ha, loved the video! Gave me a good laugh and lots of good info. I have ALWAYS wanted to build a Magna since I was younger, kinda got my motorcycle license at the end of high school because I knew some day I would. Hopefully this upcoming summer I can find one and do what you did, as in bringing a POS back to life and use it to cruise around town. Also, "howdy neighbor" from NH 👋🏻
Hey neighbor thanks for stopping by! And it's funny I baught mine from Keene! Keep your eyes open I'm sure you'll find one! Hope you get to build your dream bike!
Nice bike! I just picked up an 83 magna v45. Will be doing a bobber set up as well. Great video, will be watching your other build vids. My 4th two wheel project. Cb360, cb360t and 65 305 superhawk.
thanks! I'm in a big transition in life trying to get a house with a garage so nothing major planned for the next month or so
I just bought my first bike and it's a 94 magna. I really like the way yours turned out so I will be stralling some ideas for mine
Go ahead glad you're inspired!
Love the build man hoping to start my build soon😔
Sweet ride, Manny. I like it way better than the no fender bicycle seat bobbers.
It really helps your chances with human making rituals when you have an extra seat to ride. Just don't joke about running human on simulation 😆
truly a big fan of the magna and I want one just like that
if you're on the fence. fall off the fence onto our side! you will never regret it!
Dude I was riding through Vermont the other week, it beautiful up there! Anyways, love the build, currently bobbing out my 96’ was going to cut my rear fender and frame to give it that apocalypse look but you now thinking twice
That's great man! Honestly I was gonna do that to but it's over done and I wanted to push for new trends. Let me know how it goes!
gorgeous bike!
Thanks!
Nice one for real! Buying a 99 one tomorrow as my first bike and definitely gonna turn it into a bobber. Was it expensive to paint the exhausts? Thx!
not at all! but let me just say this. before I decide what to do on bikes, cars, projects I always wait for a vision then I ask myself if it's REALLY what I want. if the answer is yes then I go for it. money and time are no option
97 magna. Love it. Can't see why you wanted to Lower it but I guess that's what you wanted 😏.
I'm 69 inches tall
When you moved your rectifier, where did you attach it to?
The left side panel under the cover. It's just zip tied for now.
Sick bike, I'm in the middle of my 83 softail bobber build right now. What kind of seat is that? Looks alot more comfortable than the single bobber seats with springs!
You're in luck I have videos on the way answering ALL the questions on this bike. Starting with yours! It'll be out tomorrow!
Good stuff, I'll be looking for it
Hey man, great looking bike there! How did you cut the fenders? I hate the stock look of the rear fender on my 1999 and cutting to a nicer shape seems like the best option.
Thanks! The method I used to cut it is actually simple. A heat gun and a box cutter. It's hard plastic so soften it up with heat and cut it like butter. Then sand the edges and heat then. Know that the fender has a skeleton brace you have to cut too if you do that.
I would use masking tape and a sharpie to mark out it's new shape before you cut. Good luck!
@@MannyMarvelous Thanks!
My pleasure
I love this bike, I just bought a 96 magna and I’m trying to get inspiration for my build and I love what you’ve done with this. I want some louder pipes but I’m having a hard time finding anything lol. I took out the baffles on my stock pipes and it helped, but I’m used to a straight piped truck so I need more lol. Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks man! I had a vision when I bought this and put my all into making it real.
My cars were normally turbo sleepers so I actually am used to mufflers however I like some grunt on these bikes. These pipes are Cobra slashcuts. They're great but won't get you a ticket. Other than that I'd get a welder, grinder, cutter, and a pipe she just build your own! Go nuts. It's a bike so it's all fun!
@@MannyMarvelous That’s what I’m thinking, I wanna pull The rear cylinders into one pipe in the front cylinders into one pipe and run them down the right side maybe 2.5 inches
I think there's a dude in the Facebook magna Bobbers group who's done this! The rear cylinders are a bitch to get to. Also mind the firing order... These bikes are funny with running right if you mess with the air flow to much
Back in the day Cobra, Vance & Hines and Jardine made mufflers for the Magna. I have the Cobras.
Can you post a link for the riser bars please? I bought the harley Sportster drag bar handlebar but didn't order risers
I can't because they change sellers periodically
I bought an 83 magna a while back and never got around to fixing it up since I have no idea what I’m doing and will have to learn along the way. Have any tips for a beginner?
get basic tools, and go on v4 muscle bikes. com to get every diagram you will ever need for your bike. start with small stuff like cleaning it and taking it lightly apart to see how it all works. they're not that complex so don't let it scare you.
I have a whole playlist of short videos on how I built mine, they might help!
I have a tip... go for it!
If you get stuck on something you can find you tube, etc. Don't hold yourself back. You'll have a great time and you've got a great bike.
Do you know what size the tank’s tunnel is? I wanna get a magna, but slap an old road king tank on it for that extended range since I know I’d get awful gas milage lol
I've never measured it but I know it's a taper to fit the airbox
I'd say 4-8 inches
Where did you get the fork turn signal lights?
Amazon there generic
nice handle bar....where did you buy that?
online. I actually have a whole playlist of how I built this bike on my channel piece by piece
Hey you should check out lighter colors builds. I’m piecing together an 84 magna 500. Actually two. I want to do one in some shade of Powder Blue. Lighter colors on classic motorcycles. ?
I love colors. personally I think the pastel colors look great on these but only if the chrome is in good condition!
How did you build the back fender, i wanna do something similar to my Magna.
so I have a whole playlist on my channel called "the magna" which answers so many of these questions in short video format. help yourself! good luck!
@@MannyMarvelous Awesome! I will definetely check that out, thanks for replying!
Love it👍👍👍👍👍😍
Thanks!
Is that the stock seat? Do the build you should do a little part list with links be pretty sweet.🤙
It is indeed the stock seat!
I would link the stuff but you know how chinese stuff on ebay is. there one day, gone the next.
@@MannyMarvelous question where did pick up burleys slammer for 90?
They're Chinese reps off eBay. Normally I'd advise against that except that the Chinese copy is softer than the real deal... That's fine though because the Harley is an extra 150lbs heavier dry so it works perfectly in this case!
What did you do with the rear fender
Heat gun, razor, saw. Then paint
Ik you said the stock backseat could fit on it, but did you have to cut any of the back frame?
Great question! Nope!
The only cutting was with a heat gun and razor to the stock fever and took the frame rail covers off to make it shorter. The bike is totally reversible
@@MannyMarvelous Thank you! The bike looks great
Any fuel tank work? And is that the stock tank?
Stock tank just did bodywork!
Yo did you paint the engine black yourself?
yes sir
Hey what’s the paint code on that? I’m repainting mine soon and that looks badass
Nevermind I watched the first minute lol
😂 glad I'm not the only one with man-eyes
Nice bike, what Yr is is a 750 or 1100?
The 3rd gen only came in 750.
Where you get the seat from?
it's stock. factory seat.
What triple trees are those my friend...
stock 3rd gen Magna
Have links to everything? Just picked up a 98 magna
I do not because links age out and this isn't sponsored
Damn... looking for those exact bars
Get a DVe Dodge jet and shim kit, it will wake the bike up a bit. I have a 96 that I have owned since 2000
do you mean Dave dodge? and I think it may have aftermarket jets on it but idk
Yes. It helped out a lot on my 96’.
About how much did this all cost?
not enough to even remember honestly.
trees to the left trees to the right. but with HARLEY parts? O. my.
mad scientist, they called him. it won't work, they told him. it's me. I'm him. and it works
666th sub. But I’m not satanic.😮💨 -Kodak
YOOO. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS. NEXT BIG NUMBER IS 42,069
Me likes!

Magna forums? huh?
Facebook Magna pages
I like the bike, but your video is pretty bad
What would you like to see done differently?
@@MannyMarvelous I would have liked you to have shown the bike more and gone slower and explained the mods that you did to the bike. You moved too quickly through the mods and didn't really explain much. And, you didn't show the bike well.
Great input. I think I'll do a small series of a few minutes per video highlighting every mod in more detail.
