Do you know the earliest hindu temple built for a God is none other than Lord Vasudev Shri Krishna which are archaeologically proven. Maybe right. But mere adherence this ritual cannot make a Brahmin. Normal brahmins who come there are probably as realised as other people and this pankthi beda creates unnecessary divide. It is a relic of the caste system which differentiates only by birth.

@Sun Wukong, I acknowledge the details you have shared here. But, I would say let us not divide people through hatreds. This creates more separation in the society than the physical separation in temples. Appreciate the fact that this temple is serving food for 20000 people in a day. I'm sure, the same set of Brahmins will be involved in cooking work on a daily basis to feed people, that goes a lot of effort behind. Why don't give this a credit? I have personally heard from people hailing from a poor family background, had to depend on this temple for daily meals. Now being excelled in their academic fields, they are very much grateful to this temple for their growth. There are so many real issues in the society where you can channelize your thoughts like the reservation which discriminates the same brahmins from getting their basic right to education, there is no equal law in the society etc. The ultimate goal should be to educate oneself, work hard and use the same knowledge for the welfare of all and not through hatreds.
Respect Your belief , but have you heard about Deen Islam? You may have many questions you want to ask me, but I cannot write them all here, watch Zakir Naik videos , your questions will get solved, believe in Jesus ,The prophet, Believe In God,The most merciful Allah
Especially in coastal Karnataka... Every temple there serves free meal everyday. Eg. Kateel temple, Bappanadu, Udupi, Dramastala, Kukke, etc. Great use of 'Hundi' money. instead of filling Government bucket they fill Poor's stomach.... 🙏
Please make hare krishna Temples in each and Every acre All over bharat 50000 devotees Daily Prasadham Sunil Daily Udapi Mahaprasadh Hare krishna Hare krishna Krishna krishna Hare hare
Instead contribute to some old temples and help temples provide food atleast once in a week so that everyone starts visiting. Old temples will have more positive energy.

udupi is good but the best place to me is Dharmasthala and the Netravati river. I visited Dharmasthala, subramanya, udupi almost 25 yrs ago when I was a kid along with my parents and those memories still remain fresh with me.
Having visited this temple when i was a child i remember clearly being asked if we were brahmins by one of the priests . After they confirmed we were brahmins by looking at our sacred thread we were then ushered into a part of the temple premises and invited to have a special lunch . I was uncomfortable with this since i felt that being a brahmin should not entitle us to special benefits since this is modern india . I hope one day the temple follows a policy of not discriminating its devotees and offers the same food for all who visit the temple
there is favoritism in gods world ......none of the five fingers of hand are equal...............if you did not like this its good..............instead of eating with brahmins in udipi, you could have offered to eat with other caste people.............
Don't spew venom and mention some stupid comments here. No one will have janue as a child. Not only brahmins any one after the age of 16 those follow hinduism can have this janue(sacred thread).

Non-Brahmins are not allowed to darshan, but only have to see from a peep hole or from the TV videos. Unless Non-Brahmans are allowed to visit Krishna directly, its not a holly place.
no brahmins are also allowed inside everyone must see through peep hole non brahmins are also served sumptuous food might be u dint know to go to dining hall
i love udupi and also it takes you to very classic side of kannadigas, but i hate the fact that they have not given enough space to visitors to know facts about sri Kanakadasa(form lower class) and Casteism about india in old centuries.
It is not sacred food, it is secret food. serving food to brahmin and other than brahmin is different and places also different. Not only the food Darshan for brahmin (direct darshan in the main temple) and other than brahmin is out side main temple through window. So, it is not a sacred temple, do not pay any donation even though visit to the temple which donation goes to brahmins in the name of God who make partiality in mankind.
"God's shall be done"...

after that a small uddharini of water is served as aaposhana on the outheld right hand of the seated person which he sips with a mantra.
third, the brahmin offers particles of rice as pranahuti with mantras to the vaishvaanara rupi paramatma in himself.
it is then that he starts eating.
the whole process takes about 20- 30 minutes of waiting seated before your leaf.

do so. Even at pilgrim centres like Tirumala they do not follow the procedure. Glad about Udipi
So true.
Maybe right. But mere adherence this ritual cannot make a Brahmin. Normal brahmins who come there are probably as realised as other people and this pankthi beda creates unnecessary divide. It is a relic of the caste system which differentiates only by birth.

true by doing parishesham with srestta krama will not makes one a brahmanaa...
"bhramaknyaanenthu bhramana"
anyway parishesham will not take more than 1-2mins... unless he is a superduper filtered moron...so called brahmana...
udupi and madwas lack of devotion...
by adhering dharmasasthra alone will not qualify one to moksha ...if one don't have that "inner love for lord and lord's devotee"
ignoring or discriminating or belittling a devotee is equivalent to humiliating the lord...
bhramana is different with today's brahmin community ..
whether i am a bhramana only the lord can tells that ...but i am a dwija (brahmin community)
1.a bhramana should not earn, acquire, save money or do business
2. a bhramana should live on alms..
hence where is bhramana? who is bhramana?
only large number of so called "hypocrite" mortals claiming themselve as bhramana..
dharmasthala food and food serving is the best in karnataka..
in tulunadu + karnataka there is no resepct for annaprasath/annadaan...and the consuming devotees...
i ve partake in many different temples throughout india ..karnataka (tulu nadu) is the worst....
the way they serve is alike throwing to stray dogs... and people have to eat so quickly alike scavengers ...they will hustle u ....what a pathetic service ...in kollur, udupi, subramanya...etc
in tirupathi, dharmasthala, amritsar, kerala, tamilnadu, andhra pradesh temples at least they serve with dignity and respect.....irrespective of the diversity ....
One's time I visited at this temple. so clean and simple. every one should go there 🙏🙏🙏🙏
That's the content I want to see. That's the community service which our temples provide. So, a gentle shut up to all those who undermine our culture.

True..and That's the beauty of it
Especially in coastal Karnataka... Every temple there serves free meal everyday. Eg. Kateel temple, Bappanadu, Udupi, Dramastala, Kukke, etc. Great use of 'Hundi' money. instead of filling Government bucket they fill Poor's stomach.... 🙏

Culture is very deep rooted in southern Indian states. They values their core traditions and customs.rich state in all aspect ...karnataka.💚💚💚

Even brahmins see Krishna through peep hole

It is not sacred food, it is secret food. serving food to brahmin and other than brahmin is different and places also different.
Not only the food Darshan for brahmin (direct darshan in the main temple) and other than brahmin is out side main temple through window.
So, it is not a sacred temple, do not pay any donation even though visit to the temple which donation goes to brahmins in the name of God who make partiality in mankind.

"God's shall be done"...
