I made a scrap granny square pullover sweater for my 8 year old and she actually likes it and has worn it in public. It was pretty easy and mindless and the hardest part was keeping the sleeves the same size and length.
I hope you are taking your rainbow cardigan with you. You will make so many people smile if you do. No one could help but smile at all that gorgeousness. Have a blast!
You can double or triple the yarn to make dense rugs for shelter cats and dogs. For the dogs you can make several sizes , where as the cats are for the cages. The love the fluffy yarn. Glad to help with shadowing you 😁 Hope you three have a wonderful journey and fun. See you when you get back
For my scraps of yarns that I have . I'm trying to Christmas Ornaments.. Crocheting enough Christmas Ornaments to put on my small Christmas tree. I don't know if you want to make Christmas Ornaments with your scrap yarns.. You could make a scrap yarns table runner for your kitchen table or your dining room table or your living room table.
Knowing it or not, YOU have been my shadow for, at least, 4 years❤! And you will have to close your channel to get rid of me...I will never let you go!!! You are a great friend to me...please never stop what you're doing, because I love what you do!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You can make something for the puppies out of scraps. Dog sweaters, collar slip on accessories, pillow covers, toys, blankets. You could also see what your local animal shelter could use. You could also make a bag.
Good morning Jen…this was fun watching you go through your basket of yarn. I can’t wait to see the hats you make with those yarns. I especially like the grey yarns which is odd for me because I’m a purple and pink girl. Have a safe trip and enjoy your time with Lucas and your husband. Swimming in a heated pool sounds wonderful and I hope y’all get to enjoy it. See you in your next video. Hugs 🤗
Good Morning Jen🤗. Mak 43:32 e hats for the homeless. Your scraps are great for making small things. Have a safe trip and have fun exploring. Maybe donate some of those scraps to a reuse store. I do that shadowing with a friend of mine when I’m crocheting and can’t stand the quiet😂. Have a good time on your mini trip. Have a good day🥰
You could make baskets or tote bags with your scrap yarn. I’ve made a bath mat using 2 strands of cotton yarn to match my bathroom decor. The colors you chose to make hats are very pretty. 🧶💜🙏🏻
I like the rug idea but also charity items. LOVE hanging out and chatting. I ended up being dog Grandma to two German Shepherds when son and daughter in law taught during the day. Now with a break up ,(which is actually OK - they tried for 10 years), I have custody of Aurora (narcissist princess with ADD and anxiety), and Charlie, (handsome 100 pound lovey). At 72, we will age together and lose our memory together.
Hi Jen! In addition to donation hats, I've been making donation cowls. These have been "short" but tall cowls. Basically I've been using the same stitch count as I would use for the body of a hat. I knit between 2" to 3" of 2 by 2 ribbing on the top and the bottom, and then stockinette all day long for the middle section. I make them long enough that they can be pulled up over the head & ears and to cover the face. That way they fit underneath a coat hood but can still be pulled down to just wear scrunched up around the neck to wear instead of a scarf. ❤
Good morning Jen, I hope you are having a wonderful day. Im sorry I haven't been commenting on your videos, I've just had alot of health issues going on, but please know im always here watching. Love you bunches ❤❤❤❤
I make scrap"scarves. Skinny ones. Make up magic balls, tie ends of scraps together so you have2-3" knots and when I crochet, I crochet the knots to the front (cut and knot again if I need to). Then the knots are part of the design. You can make them all garter, or sampler with bobbles, etc. The 90's skinny scarves are back on trend lol. Have a great trip.
I made Jaydas fairy tale cloak with single and double strand, I made baskets with odd arn and made different textures the feel good to carry around. I also used scraps to make coin bags, when we had to pay for laundry years ago.
I’m ADHA too and have always liked having someone with me while I’m cleaning up, I never thought of having a RUclips channel to talk to and share with others. I have way too much yarn and still want to buy more. I can be that way with fabric too.
Good morning!!!!! hats for donation is a great idea I'm currently making scarves out of my scraps. for the smaller scrapes that i have might make them into coasters or little baskets. the brown and pink one looks great together and the tan and pink one does too.
I agree with you on wobbles. The yarn looks terrible. Funny dogs/puppies have a way of working it in your heart. ❤❤❤enjoy your baby girl. Dogs are so awesome
Love the kit. I don't know if you watch Krafting Kitty but she's got a Mr Roger's knitting book. She's doing everything in the book. Her last project was a trolly. I'm not good enough knitting to do any of the patterns yet but it's cool watching her.
It’s ok, I love Herrschners yarn enough for both of us! 😂😂. I love these yarn clean up chats! Feels like we are there with you. Enjoy your time away. 🎉❤️🙏🏻
Do you think Lucas would be able to cake up your scraps using your winder? I find that I use my scraps when they are 'neater' because I'm not fighting them to make a project. Just a thought. I love the idea of scrappy blankets for animal shelters. You could also knock out some hats on your Addi for donations to tear through them faster. Hope you enjoy your hotel stay! 😊👍🧶
What I use my scraps for making 20 inch by 20 inch baby blankets in all colours and donate them to hospitals as when premier babies are born they really small blankets that won’t swallow them. I also only use patterns that have no holes as little fingers could get caught in them.
Hey jen, have you thought of making different styles and sizes of granny squares and then fitting them together? I have seen them in crochet magazines and they are so interesting.
What about a puppy sweater 🤔 ? I spend more time picking out yarn and what I might want to make, when I am going out. Yarn is my #1. I really enjoyed your company, great video.
donate the herschners... you could make room for stuff you actually like. I like the hats for the homeless idea, and if you have a ton of them donate to a shelter or a nursing home for the residents (nursing homes also take yarn for their craft classes) Who's looking after the pups while you're away?
I store my tiny balls of leftovers in clear plastic shoe boxes until I'm ready to make multicolor squares for whatever -- blankets, sweaters, even hats. Or until I decide to make 'magic balls' from them
I would love to know new idea's for scrap yarn also. I don't remember wich creator I was watching but she showed where she takes all her scraps that are too little to make a scrap project with she waits till she gets a lot of it and then throws it in the yard and the birds pick it up and uses it to make there nest 🪹 wich I thought was such a good idea because that is so cool
I know you make a lot of hats, but hat, scarf and mitten sets? Lap blankets for people in wheelchairs. Shrugs are also great for those in wheelchairs/elderly.
Hi Jennifer 🙏❤️. As I was watching this video and watching you pick up and put away so many different types and kinds of different colored yarns, I was thinking about blankets or small rugs for dog or cat rescues or maybe blankets for Nursing Homes, Children’s Home Hospitals and they could probably use some crocheted sweaters or scarves. How about a place that homes unwed mothers? Do they have those there where you live? I know you don’t want to make anymore cardigans but I’m sure someone who doesn’t have a lot could use one. I like the idea of Homeless people too. I feel you’re doing an awesome deed for those who need to be warm and comfy too whether human or animal. God bless you and hugs to you always and keep up the awesome job of creating and given too. Love, Sue M. Clearwater, Florida ❤️🙏🥰😘🎄🎅🏻🌴❌⭕️
Good Morning Jen 🌞Enjoy your time away, with Lucas and Mr C. Don't worry about having a mess in the corner or where ever, we all have them in a corner or where ever, some of us have that "room" lol I know I do lol. Woman I'm telling you if you need someone to shadow you get in touch with me, I'd be glad to do it and it's help us both! You gotta stop telling me about the sales I emotional support shop! LOL I Just found out yesterday my daughter isn't going to be able to come home for Christmas 😢which is going to made it so much harder as it's also the first Christmas without my Dad. So it's going to be a rough one, I need to keep busy. You could make a bunch of scrappy hats and donate them to the elementary schools for those that send their little kids to school without the proper things for the colder weather. Love Hugs and Prayers
I made a scrap granny square pullover sweater for my 8 year old and she actually likes it and has worn it in public. It was pretty easy and mindless and the hardest part was keeping the sleeves the same size and length.
I suddenly realised while painting my nails that I almost felt like I was actually hanging out in your office and gossiping 😂
I hope you are taking your rainbow cardigan with you. You will make so many people smile if you do. No one could help but smile at all that gorgeousness. Have a blast!
I absolutely love watching your videos!!! You give such good advice & ideas. You’re the best.
I get so overwhelmed by scraps that I can’t start. I admire your ability to see a vision!

Hi, i enjoy these chat and clean-up videos. Scrappy hats, scarves, mittens, or fingerless gloves. I do hope your trip is going well. 🧶🫂

Have a wonderful time with Mr. Cinnamon and Little Man. ❤

I take my scraps and make either flowers to connect and hang on the wall or I just start crocheting and make an random blob shape to hang as well.
I like to make granny sweaters with scraps. I use a lot of MJ's designs with scraps because they can be customized easily.

I’m happy to be a shadow. My scraps usually end up as hats/beanies. Quick, easy and just fun to put colors together. Have a great trip!
Scraps are my favorite. For anything. Large quantities of matching unused yarns can be overwhelming for me
Good morning Jen, I hope you are having a wonderful day. Im sorry I haven't been commenting on your videos, I've just had alot of health issues going on, but please know im always here watching. Love you bunches ❤❤❤❤
I hope you have had a good trip. Naturally I am watching the replays, catching up. I enjoy watching your videos.
Brown and pink looks the best!

You could do a Christmas scarf to take along😊
Hi Jen , you should make a hat and matching fingerless mittens with the denim blue and fur. I think that would be so beautiful 🙏💞 26:34
Enjoy your trip!!!
Good morning Jen!! Have a safe and happy trip!! ❤️🙏🏼🚗
Just wanted to day to have a great trip and enjoy crocheting.
I was in Jr High when we got channel 4 PBS in Idaho and I still watched Mr Rodgers

Fingerless gloves, cup cozies,Ear warmers, crawls. That should give you a start… lol❤
It so helps me to do the same thing. Hope you’re having a good time. Have a great day.❤
Have a happy and safe trip Jen 😊
I packed for a road trip last night. Hoping to make the Sandy Sweater this weekend!

Multicolor mittens or fingerless mitts. Scarves, hats, cowls.
It’s ok, I love Herrschners yarn enough for both of us! 😂😂. I love these yarn clean up chats! Feels like we are there with you. Enjoy your time away. 🎉❤️🙏🏻
Safe travels and have a great time ❤
I so wish I lived close to you so I could untangle all your yarn barf lol xxx
have a safe trip, and a fun time
I enjoy listening to you. I almost finished my hat. Lol
Flowers, in bouquets, garlands, appliqués or granny squares, those are stash busters
My sister wants me on the phone too while she is picking up her house. Which is often.
Use scraps for doggy jumpers or even dog beds xxx
Headband with a rose on it 🌹

BENTLY IS SUCH A GOOD CO-HOST.
Haha. While watching this video this morning I straightened my desk & rewrote notes. Thank you!!😂
scrap yarn can be used to make blankets for pet shelters
Make stuff for your vehicle with scraps!! Like steering wheel covers and etc....
I make baskets by holding several strands together.
My yarn came in yesterday, but I have to finish the doily first. Then I can start the cardigan.
Granny squares work well for projects when traveling save for future projects
I am always happy to be your shadow ❤️
Put a colored pillow case on your pillow so it stands out when you leave.
Happy to shadow you! 😊
Does Ponyo have a Christmas stocking? You are already on your trip but you could make her one when you get home, if your other dogs have stockings.❤❤
Good Morning Jennifer ! We love you !
Good morning!
I will be traveling soon too! Perfect timing for this video.
I have the exact same bag. Even the same color.
I’m a Mr Rodgers fan.❤
Hey jen, have you thought of making different styles and sizes of granny squares and then fitting them together? I have seen them in crochet magazines and they are so interesting.
Enjoy your time away !
I normally just pack or take cotton to work on washcloths and hand towels.
Mittens with the fur around the cuff. Leg warmers for the homeless!!
Safe travels Jen. Yes to the hats, they will be beautiful. How about fingerless gloves to donate? Take care 💜
What about a puppy sweater 🤔 ? I spend more time picking out yarn and what I might want to make, when I am going out. Yarn is my #1. I really enjoyed your company, great video.
Bags are good with scraps
I make cat and dog beds for donation and shawls/wraps for the Nursing Homes. Have a great time with Little Man.❤
Thank you for sharing. 😊

Hey Cinnamon ✨️
I hold several strands and crochet baskets
Make a scrape scarf with lots of short ends hanging out.

I swear…when I cake up my scraps and put them in bins…they all have a party! I reopen the bin it is a tangled mess!🎉
Shadows…..‘got your back’!
Now for your scrap yard did you ever think about making a Shaw out of scrap yard I think that would look kind of cool❤
I want to make a scrap rug 😊
I know you make a lot of hats, but hat, scarf and mitten sets? Lap blankets for people in wheelchairs. Shrugs are also great for those in wheelchairs/elderly.

It's snowing here in Illinois at least in my area
I saw recently on FB someone suggested handing out hats to Salvation Army bell ringers
Good Morning Jen
Good morning
Maybe scrap moss stitch hats!

Good morning!
