So much respect for boaters like you who put love and care into their boats. Your boat looks amazing! Seems so peaceful and serene to spend a night/weekend on it.
Thank you and yes I do try to take care of my boats I love them I've had this one the longest around 15 years II love the freedom of being able to able to explore different lakes, And also intercoastal waters, And jump islands
Wow! Beautiful boat. We recently purchased our first boat. A 1987 Formula 242 LS. It has 35 years of filth and mold and we have a lot of work ahead of us. Cannot wait to go camping in it this summer.
I love boating and exploring different places. I also have a cabin cruiser that me an the wife would take to Florida gulf coast and stay a week at a time on it and island jump up and down the intercoastal but it's been down since I started making videos, hopefully I can make time to get it back on the water ,definitely my favorite boat ,but the old Stingray does the job for a night stay no problem
She's always been a great perfoming boat. I need to get her back together and haven't used since Hurricane Ian did a number on her , but she still runs great
That is a nice classic Stingray you got there, and there is nothing that beats sleeping in a boat. Damn I wish it was summer so I can go boating again..
Thanks and thank you for watching Vassmotorsports, you just have to trailer down Florida like i do lol. Im here now and its been 89 each day and high 60's or 70s at night still
Im so curious about that tent setup! I would love to see more of it! Me and my husband sleep in our Baja 260 and I would love to set something up that is similar for overnights.
Didn't know it would be such a hit. Haha. Just a rain tarp piece that came with my tent 25 years ago and figured out 3 yrs ago it would lay over the Bimini nicely
Love the boat brother, I just got a free 79 searay bowrider with a 100 mercury from a neighbor that passed away can't wait to duplicate what you did with you're boat
thanks , i still have this boat even tho way after this she was damaged in Hurricane Ian in Florida where i was keeping her at our RV down there , but thank God she was still in the park when i went back even tho it flooded between 8 to 12 ft and destroyed the entire park , I still have her and brought hee back to life and used this summer. i have videos of all this and should be on Stingray playlist on my channel, thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos sometime
Thanks and thank you for watching Vassmotorsports, I still have this boat and have videos of taking it out recently after doing repairs cause she was stuck in Florida and Hurricane Ian did damage to her. But as seen in newer videos she is back on the water once again and taking her to Crab island in Destin Beach next week
thank you, was just out on it yesterday with the wife and puppy Jasper, thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos
Quick question please answer Some guy who works on big boats for living said they will make anyone poor unless ur wealthy 😅 He said just buy a boat that you can take out of the water I guess that will cut down the expenses and repair Do you agree?
Most definitely, renting a slip is not cheap every month even if in area it's to cold to use it ,and at the mercy of the marina for any maintenance or repairs even cleaning, atleast if you can trailer the boat you can choose mechanics if you can't do the work yourself and take boat to different places to enjoy. But if I was rich I might think differently, but again I love taking my boats to different places and even tow 700 miles from SC to the FL gulf coast as we love it there and so different than my lakes here in SC
It's crossed my mind since I have 3 other boats also , and this is the smallest, and just took out last week in Florida gulf coast to Coya Costa Island, have videos of that trip too, lol
It was actually a rain cover for my tent ive had for 25 years and figured out couple years back that it works for that boat also hahaha. I do custom interior and full enclosures for boats last 4 or 5 years,so my other boats all have tops and i just never made one for the Old Stingray thinking I was gonna sell her ,but still haven't brought myself to do it hahaha, thanks for watching and hopefully ya seen some of my other boat customizing videos on my channel
That boat looks great! and love to see people camping out on the smaller boats. we had a 4.2 m placom 4 seater with 40 hp outboard and outfitted with a home made camper canvas and now we have our maxum 1900 sc for 10 years. both boats were used for watersports as well for camping weekends on the water. Now we have a 7 year old daugther and the boat is getting too small for camping. we have a porta potti, a peltier car fridge, 100w solar panel, some floaties and even a rc jetboat, a prop driven mini surfboard for my daugther to cruise around the boat, tablet to watch a movie at night etc. but as said, it is getting too small. so now in the process of buying a 2001 3470 ft cruisers yacht. exiting times.
Yes very nice. I also have a 2400scr Maxum cabin cruiser and love it ( don't have videos) and perfect size to trailer anywhere and still big enough to stay on a week at a time , I have engine out of it and want to install a 6.2 stroker I have waiting to go in with bravo 3 outdrive, then I should have videos of our adventures, love the Florida gulf coast Intercoastal waters
@@Vassmotorsports "perfect size" in the USA is a different size compared to the same words in our country. While in the US the most popular car a probably will be something like a ford f150 pickup we have more something like a ford focus. everything here is smaller. parking spaces, roads, houses distances and boats too. I am very happy I am able to haul 2 tons with my subaru forester xt compared to much less of most cars here.
its actually the rain cover from a tent ive had over 25 years and happen to figure out it would work for this also haha ,thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos
Its just the rain cover from my old tent 20 yrs ago , i just happen to figure out few yrs ago it worked great for this , since then i do custom boat interior and tops but never bothered making a full enclosure for this boat since id normally be on my bigger boats when staying overnight but also like to old school it sometimes (remind me where i started) lol

This is a 1987 Stingray svc207xl cuddy cabin and thanks it's always been in pretty good condition and ive owned for last 16 yrs and redone the powertrain and interior 2 yr ago , Hurricane Ian got her last oct but she still runs and when I get time she will be back on the water (hopefully soon)

Thank you, I really am blessed to be able to take my boat some of the places I go, I have videos on my channel of this boat in SC lakes and Gulf coast waters in Florida, that is a rain cover from my tent I haven't used in 20 years and figured out one day it works perfectly for this lol,

Glad you enjoyed your rig but you offer little information about how you got to your happy place. Example: who manufactured your Bimini/tent? You gave no information, but you slept well. Polish your presentation because people crave the information.
Ill keep that in mind , the Bimini was on it when i bought boat 15 years ago custom made ,and the other cover at night is just old rain tarp piece for my tent i havent used since before I got the boat and figured out 3 yrs ago that it would lay over Bimini before I knew i could do custom upholstery work and tops lol

Thank you and good luck with yours
I have friends who throw a tarp over their boats and stay overnight every weekend
We had a blast. Gotta do it again very soon
Beautiful water fall
Definitely one of my favorite coves to sleep overnight and its a party during the day
